    Not so good

After less than a year, I just launched mine across the office and put the pieces in the trash. It felt very good.

The connection was unreliable, constantly dropping off. It had an annoying tendency to just not track well: sometimes only would track up and down, and sometimes only left and right.

I have a very old Apple USB mouse that I have been using flawlessly.

I liked the tap and swipe features of the Magic Mouse. They worked well... when it would stay connected. Perhaps I had a bad mouse but for $70, I think I'll wait before testing that assumption.

I use this mouse even while on the stationary bike with my macbook air

As a right-handed person who is a left-handed mouse user, I love this mouse a lot, especially when using my macbook Air while biking on the trainer. I think it works really well under difficult circumstances, which is an awfully inexpensive platform for a laptop on top of handlebars, until I can afford something better, since I've spent all my money on good quality bikes and computer gear.

    Unreliable connection

The mouse loses its Bluetooth connection roughly once an hour. Replacing the batteries doesn't help; it's just a fundamentally unreliable piece of hardware. I keep a trackpad handy and the mouse system preferences open at all times so I can reconnect it. I'm pretty much ready to buy a USB mouse and throw this in the trash. Apple should make a USB Magic Mouse in order to combine reliability and multitouch functionality.

    Way cool mouse

It may not be the best choice for a work machine (which could depend on a center mouse button) but it is a beautiful and smooth interface to an already elegant machine (my Mac). It's a really cool toy.

    Shoddy battery casing

The mouse work well except when the batteries become lose in the battery casing. Then the mouse pointer stalls or becomes erratic. Apple needs to fix this problem.

When it works it's too awesome. I love the touch sensitive scrolling. However, it has a tendency to loose connection. According to tech support wi-fi networks, microwaves and cordless phones can interfere with the signal. Well I live in the apartment, and my air port card can detect six different networks. Obviously I have a lot of stray signals I can do nothing about. I really wish they had a wired version of it, That I would buy.

Most people dont like the mouse saying its uncomfortable, but i personally love it!
The way you can scroll just brings lion more to life with my macbook from 2010(i think its 2010.. mayb 2011.) that doesnt have the newest track pads. :)

    Sexy. Useful. and entertaining.

    UNCOMFORTABLE

Who cares if it looks cool? It is literally a pain to use. It has no hand support. The touch sensors are annoying. I can't use Photoshop at all because this stupid mouse is constantly zooming in and out! Apple really has to stop designing product based on on aesthetics. They constantly drop the ball on practicality. No apple product is worth the money, and this mouse is a prime example. Can I rate lower than one star?

I purchased the Magic Mouse because I found that the trackpad on my MacBook Pro took more getting used to than I had time to give it. In particular, I found the "click" mechanism to require more pressure than was natural for me.

I love this mouse! Aside from the usual attractive design specs, it is properly sensitive, but so much so that it is difficult to control. I would definitely recommend this mouse.

    This Mouse is Awesome!

This mouse is really really cool. This mouse really feels like a premium, best quality mouse I ever used. I currently own a Macbook Pro (2011) i5 Processor, and this goes along great with my Macbook Pro. It's really stylish, really easy to install and use, and also just a premium quality materials on the mouse. I recommend this mouse to everyone who owns any kind of mac. This mouse is really responsive since it's a bluetooth and laser technology. I really thought that since this is a bluetooth connection, that the signal and the connection would drop out, but it does not. It is really really good.

    Great... At first

I was totally in love with this mouse. I had really gotten used to video editing with the older Mighty Mouse, but was tired of trying to clean the track ball every month or so.

When I picked the Magic Mouse up I thought my prayers had been answered, and they were. I was able to edit a lot faster, life was good. Then one day the Magic Mouse turned into the old Apple one click mouse. I couldn't swipe or do any gestures, I couldn't even get the right click to work.

I searched through forums and after trying all solutions nothing worked. My Magic Mouse now sits in a drawer with the twisty-ties, cables, and other useless computer junk.

The Magic Mouse is awesome. I love how easy it is to use. I am a diehard mouse user and when I first got my MBA I had a hard time adjusting to not having one. This is my first Apple (love it!) and was so used to using a mouse with my old Dell PC. Along comes Magic Mouse and I am in heaven! Love it! Makes navigating so much easier. It was so simple to connect to my MBA. I was up and running with it in seconds. I have not experienced any stability issues at all. In fact I feel like I have better control over where I am navigating my cursor when I use it. I can't imagine not having it now that I have been using it for a while. Great product!

    Almost perfect

I had read both positive and negative reviews of this mouse before making my decision. The positive's far exceeded the negatives so I took the plunge. Bottom line, the mouse is brilliant and it works as advertised. Movement is sharp (even for a wired or USB mouse) and crisp and there is zero noticeable Bluetooth lag you normally see from other manufacturers. The button(s) are responsive and whether on a mouse pad or desktop, the unit moves around freely.
Now for the caveats: Because this mouse is sleek, it is difficult for me to use it for long periods of time, comfortably. If you have big hands, this may not be the mouse for you. Second, it is sensitive so if you set it up for left click/right click operation and you have big hands, you will right click when you meant to left click and vice versa...there is no avoiding it.
Neither of these 'negatives' are the fault of the device itself and are only meant as warnings to others with large hands.
I give it four stars simply because it is not made for everyone. However, functionality wise I would say it is 5 stars!

It does everything you'd want a mouse to do...and more. It's just so uncomfortable, it refuses to be used. I tried for as long as I could, then reverted to a 2 button that is ergonomically designed. Swing and a miss Apple.

    MAGIC MOUSE

I'm not a computer or electronics guru. I rather be riding my Harley. However with modern technology these days, you need to know how to use a computer. I bought the mouse because i was tired of of swapping out the USB port adapter with my old mouse. This new Magic Mouse to me is awesome. I find it easier to use then them freaking high tech mouses. Only complaint I have is that the price seems a little high.

I had some concerns about this mouse before I purchased it. It just didn't look very ergonomic and I thought my hand would cramp up using it. I now have four of these little beauties, one for my iMac at work, one for my Mac Mini at home, and two for my MacBook Pro (one for use at home, and one for use at work). Scrolling is great, and with a little practice, the gestures also work great. It's sleek, slick, and simple. I can use it for hours on end with no issues or hand fatigue. This is a great input device.

My trusty old mouse won't work with Lion (don't get me started on what I think about Lion or icloud!!) and now I have arthritis in my thumb from this stupid thing. There is no support for the entire hand -- and I have really small hands. I agree with a reviewer that I read online: Apple products are now no better than PC so why am I spending the extra $$$? I plan to make a slow switch over time. It's just not worth it any more.

this mouse was fine. now it's not. it won't track on my desk. if I put a magazine under it, it works. according to the Apple support forums this is a problem many other customers have. I am disappointed that I will have to replace this expensive and necessary accessory after owning it for perhaps 2 years.
