    Great product

    • Written by from Bayamon

I bought this mousebecause I love all apple things, but when I tried it I realized it is super easy to use, the battery lasts long, fits well in my hand, the funtions doesn't make another mouse that I have used and the price isn't so high.

    terrible

    • Written by from Brandon

    Do not buy this mouse.
It was the worst money I ever spent, it frequently won't click on what I want it to but instead minimized the frigging window, the back falls off of it constantly and will not go back on, and it often sends me back to a previous page in safari for no discernible reason... I move the mouse and all of the sudden I'm back 4 or 5 pages.
Exceptionally frustrating, could not use for more than 6 months until I was ready to throw the stupid thing through a window.

PAINFUL contemplating class action suit for carpal tunnel it's that bad

    • Written by from Peoria

Mouse seems great but then you use it.... if you are a casual user then great. If you are using this mouse for any kind of work for extended periods of time, i.e. greater then 5 min literally, you will be in for a shock. HAND AND WRIST PAIN TO DIE FOR! My hand and wrist will hurt for hours after use due to the extremely poor ergonomics. sleek design, cools gestures and function do NOT make up for the terrible terrible design. If your hands aren't super small DONT GET THIS MOUSE!

A good companion for the usual user

    • Written by from Minneapolis

It took me a couple days to get the gestures consistent (mostly the two finger swipe between spaces). Since then it has served me very well. It functions with good responsiveness on my desk even without a mousepad.

It does eat batteries like crazy. I had to use my little travel USB mouse when I ran out of batteries unexpectedly. But going without the magic mouse made me appreciate how much I relied on its functions. So I solved the battery problem by getting some rechargeable batteries from Target.

It doesn't fit your hand perfectly but I suspect that's only an issue for heavy users (e.g., programmers, gamers). I've experienced no pain.

    Cool features, NOT ERGONOMIC

    • Written by from Bothell

At first this mouse is great because of the gestures. However you immediately recognize how non ergonomic this mouse really is. After extended use your hand and wrist will start to experience pain. My definition of extended is anything over 30 minutes to an hour. I've never experienced this pain from any other input device I've ever used on any system. Be warned!

a bit too sensitive, must have mouse pad

    • Written by from Dallas

so you absolutely must have a soft top mouse pad...nothing slick.
and while i love the swipe motion, there are some issues with posturing, where if you are holding it on the side too far up the page will just shake.
also, sometimes the swipe is too sensitive and you loose information, say on a payment page, or while writing an email.

also the battery drains so fast!

    Wish it had been Wired

    • Written by from San Antonio

It's certainly sleek, durable, and convenient with it's magic moves but the battery drains all too quick.

As a senior in college, I use my iMac (thus Magic Mouse, too) every day. Word docs, Excel reports, etc.
    - Unless you turn off your Magic Mouse (and wireless keyboard) every time you're away, you'll go through 4 AA batteries every month.
    - It makes you wish there was a Magic (wired) Mouse.
    - Or you could buy a charging station for it.

Look on those .Org selling sites and you'll notice customers want to get rid of theirs since it came with their iMac, (like me).

Brilliant design, easy of setup, lasting product

    • Written by from Burnaby

The magic mouse has an outstanding design, elegant body, ease of setup even for most novice Mac users, and intuitive features.

    Ergonomics

    • Written by from vaughan

Apple did a great job at developing this mouse in terms of function, however, the ergonomics are terrible. Using the mouse for longer than 20 minutes is painful.

    ONE SIZE DOESN'T FIT ALL!

    • Written by from Burnsville

Poor rating reviews of this mouse almost never ever mention quality because its quality is superb and unmatched. Most reviewers complain concerning its shape. I have large to medium sized hands and I love this mouse. At first use it WILL be awkward but after a short time your hand will "have a memory" of the most comfortable position. For some this mouse does not work because all hands are not alike.

Love it out of the box

    • Written by from Ingersoll

Just bought a magic mouse after some hesitation because of some bad reviews. I have used the prior mouse with a small ball in it for 4 years with my iMac, replacing one every year (thankfully under warranty each time) because it eventually gets stuck. So far so good with the magic mouse. I don't find it hard to use at all. It is not jumpy in the programs I tried it on - Excel, Mail, Safari, etc. I noticed the only way to get widgets and multiple windows open now it the F3 and F4 keys, but that's not a big deal. We'll see how long the batteries last. It was a very easy unit to set up.

No carpal tunnel strain with this mouse

I use this mouse all day, every day and it is the only mouse that I have that does not give me carpal tunnel strain.
    For me, that is priceless.

    Please Re-design the Magic Mouse

    • Written by from Montreal

After several months of Magic Mouse use, I sum it up as follows:

    - It eats through a pair of AA's every month
    - It's not as ergonomic to hold as my 13 year old Intellimouse Explorer
    - The laser doesn't work well on my veneered table and causes the cursor not to respond sometimes when I move the mouse -- my Intellimouse on the other hand works flawlessly.

I wanted to like this mouse as it compliments my Apple setup but it got bested by a mouse designed 10 years earlier.

    My hand Ache

    • Written by from Singapore

Well functionalities are superb. But the mouse is so flat and it is very difficult to get use to it, if you are going to use it for a long hour, your ring finger will start to ache. and the edges are too sharp so After a long hour of use your whole hand will start to ache.

    really good mouse ..but !

    • Written by from New york

It takes a while to get use to it. and than .. you just can't go back to the old mouse.

The only thing that bothers me is the upper surface of the mouse, its not keeping his surface slippery as it is new. ( but still a better then his current competitors )

    Price<Quality

This mouse is really easy to use and gives me so many features that i wish i had before. I was worried about the lack of scroll ball but it was still great. I can only complain about the "natural scrolling" but that can be disabled. I love how the shape is comfortable and feels like Im using a iphone as a mouse. never had connection problems in 2 years.

Pretty nice for most things ... a bit cranky in Design Applications

    • Written by from Boston

I like the mouse generally speaking, the multi-touch features are great. My one beef is that it's a bit cranky when it's used in a design application like InDesign - it's a bit over-sensitive. Like if you graze it slightly it scrolls thru pages RELENTLESSLY. So you are on Page 2 and voila just like that you are on Page 12, which means I constantly have to navigate back to the Page 2. Since the majority of my work is in InDesign, I'm this close to switching to a standard mouse... I'll be sad, but my sanity might require it.

    Outstanding technology and functionality

    • Written by from Fountain

I rate the Apple Magic Mouse as the number one piece of hardware I have purchased in the Apple family second to none. The simplicity of having full control of your production environment without having to search and maneuver across the peripheral of my iMac is amazing. I have never experienced a problem with connectivity and the wireless technology is superior to any other piece of equipment I have ever owned. I would be lost without the magic the Apple Magic Mouse puts in my fingertips. In my opinion, this is the very best piece of technology Apple has produced for me in the profession of web design that I use countless hours daily.
