This mouse is horrible. Doesn't even touch your hand, can't move fast and HORRIBLE for any game that requires quick precise movements. Would not recommend to anyone.

I need magic to get this magic mouse to work after I shut down my iMac and reboot. It worked fine for the first few months, but is so frustrating to use now.

poor battery life.
poor performance.
poor feel.
poor buttons.

It was really more of a nuisance than an effective mouse.

I Bought the magic mouse but was very disappointed as soon as i made the first swipe. The mouse had a coated shine on the top which was annoying when trying to swipe your fingers. I also had to set the pointer speed all the way up and the was still not what i wanted. So luckily I returned it and got the MAGIC TRACKPAD. This turned out to work much much better than the magic mouse did.

the bottom will not stay on this mouse. falls off when i lift it out of my computer case. falls off just sitting on my desk. falls off a half dozen times when i try to fit it on so i can put it down before it falls off again. when it stays in one piece for a while it seems like magic, that is true. still, it is a very poor joke of a product.

I've had my mouse replaced once and I am ready to go back to good old reliable wired mouse. The battery life is one week after being used a couple hours a day and left in sleep mode when not in use. If I don't use the sleep mode and shut off the computer along with the mouse each time I use it, it extends the time to two months. Can't just shut off only the mouse because the computer won't go into sleep mode until it can find the mouse. After 2- 3 weeks of use like this, however, the battery begins to wear down and it disconnects every 15 min. of use. I then have to take the batteries out and apply spit on the end of each battery and replace them in the mouse. This improves the connection. What a pain. Why would anyone want to put up with this when there are wired mice that never loose connection as long as the electricity is up and running. There are some major bugs that are going to need to be ironed out before I ever get a wireless mouse again. Otherwise, love Apple computers.

Cool design, accurate movement, long life, BUT occasional actions due to unintentional contact with touch surface sometime ruins work, boy I miss Mighty Mouse central multi-directions ball. Actually moved back to Mighty just to get back to comfort and predictability!

I love Apple products, and this is my first negative review. The Apple Magic Mouse battery life is very bad. I got the MM with my new iMac this summer. Within the first month, I brought the MM to the Apple store because it had stopped working. It just didn't occur to me that the batteries that came with the MM were dead already. But, that's what it was. I put in two new AA Duracell alkaline batteries, and they last about 3 to 4 weeks. I use the computer an average of 5-hours a day, and turn off the MM when not in use. I inquired at an Apple store yesterday, and they said they were always replacing the batteries on the demos, and 3 to 4 weeks may be about right.

I'm back to using my Logitech nano mouse, which gets about 8 months of use with two AAA Duracells. And, that's without turning off the mouse when not in use.

I'm ready to sell the Apple MM. I refuse to spend more on rechargeable batteries. There's something wrong with the Apple MM design that Apple should fix. Other than the battery life, the Apple MM is a good product.

BTW, I'm still using the original batteries in the wireless keyboard that came with the iMac. No problem there.

This mouse sounded like a good idea (I love the mutitouch pad on my MBP 13 inch). When using this mouse, the cursor skips all over the screen, even after buying a new mousepad. After 1 week of owning it, it has also started to literally come apart at the seams. Went back to my cheap $30 Logitech notebook mouse after I was close to throwing the magic mouse up against a wall. Cheap mouse works ten times better.

I use Final Cut Studio 3 heavily.

Every time I leave my index & middle finger sitting on the mouse as I move the pointer across any window, all sliders will go nuts.

Big disruption when you need total control (i.e. 3-way color correcting).

You can turn off scrolling but it really kills the purpose of replacing the small ball from the (formerly Mighty) Mouse with multi-touch.

Home users who don't do anything serious, this mouse is just another wireless mouse. No Magic.

Professionals must avoid it like a plague--notice when Randy Ubillos was demoing iMovie '11, he did not hover on any windows with sliders and yet he is having a hard time navigating naturally. From time to time he would hold it still with one hand and scroll with his other hand.

Apple, please kindly ALSO listen to Randy Ubillos. For goodness sake do you even know that he (and several other brilliant minds) invented Final Cut, iMovie, and Premier Pro?
