    • Written by from Vancouver

Lets face it, everyone has their own opinion, mine of this thing is that I think its functional and works great for me. I can't understand why anyone would not like it, but I am not them so I don't know. I am very happy with my purchase.

    Great product

    • Written by from Howell

The price definitely hurt but the mouse is made well with an aluminum bottom piece and clear white top piece. the clicking is phenomenal and the multi touch gestures are very smooth and feel right. if you have the money and a mac, this is a must have product.

    AWESOME MIGHTY MOUSE

    • Written by from Freeport

THIS MOUSE IS GREAT! LOVE THE SCROLLING UP AND DOWN WITH ONE FINGER, SWIPING PAGE TO PAGE IS ALSO GOOD. I'VE READ IN PREVIOUS POSTING OF PEOPLE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE MOUSE. IN THE VERY FIRST FEW MOMENTS I USED I NOTICED THE MOUSE HAD A DELAY GETTING FROM ONE SIDE OF THE SCREEN TO THE OTHER. I THEM ADJUSTED THE "TRACKING" ALL THE WAY TO FAST UNDER "SYSTEM PREFERENCES" THEN UNDER "MOUSE", AND IT WORKS GREAT!

    Best mouse ever!

    • Written by from Fife

I read some of the reviews before I purchased my mouse for my Macbook, and was a little concerned that I would be going through batteries every couple weeks. I've had the mouse and only batteries in now for almost 3 months and I couldn't be happier! It is easy to navigate, and worth every dollar! I highly recommend this mouse!

    Yes, it DOES do right-click.

    • Written by from Seattle

Just read a review claiming the magic mouse doesn't have right-click functionality -- simply not true. Ergonomics may be more affected by how you use your mouse. As a front end web-developer, I'm in graphics and coding programs all day long. No ergonomic problems for me whatsoever. If you're one of the folks who clutch your mouse in a death-grip rather than sliding it with your fingers, then maybe it's not the best shape for you.

Excellent. I love it. Just a couple concerns...

    • Written by

I find this mouse to be the best I have ever used before. The multi-touch ability it possesses is not only fun to use but quite helpful, and it literally feels like magic when I'm scrolling just by sliding my finger across it. It is very easy to connect, its fast, and it just looks perfect next to my MacBook and bluetooth apple keyboard. The only problems I have found with it is that sometimes when it connects after i wake my Mac up, it lags quite a bit, which i fix by turning the mouse off and then on again. It's not much of a problem, but it becomes annoying at times. Also, the top section of it can well, jiggle at times back and fourth. I worry that it would eventually break, but knowing apple their products aren't prone to break at all. Overall i just love the functionality of the mouse and I am proud of Apple for designing yet another amazing product. Keep up the good work! 

It takes a little getting used to, but then it's golden!

    • Written by from SAN DIEGO

OK, yes, it's different than most mouses (mice?) -- but it's more like a trackpad. Once you're used to it, it REALLY speeds up web browsing and navigating other applications. I absolutely love it and you will too.

If you own this mouse, download MagicPrefs now!!

    • Written by from Riverside

The hardware on this mouse has so much potential, and yet for some reason, the makers of this mouse released it with software that only realizes 20% of the full capabilities.

If you own the Magic Mouse, you MUST download MagicPrefs. MagicPrefs literally "makes" the Magic Mouse. MagicPrefs should have been the software that was originally released with the mouse. With it, you get Expose back, you get the dashboard back, and a slew of options that you did not have previously. You can customize the magic mouse infinitely more with MagicPrefs, than you could with the original software.

MagicPrefs is right here on Apple's website under downloads

Without MagicPrefs, I could only give this mouse 2 1/2 or 3 stars, simply because it just isn't that impressive. With MagicPrefs, I give it 5 stars easily

    Great Mouse

    • Written by from Winfield

Overall I love this mouse. Much better than the Mighty Mouse for sure. It is sleek and comfortable to work on even for lengthy periods of time. The one thing I have noticed though is that it seems to interfere just a little bit with my wireless signal. My office is not terribly far from our router (when I'm not using the mouse I have all 4 bars) and sometimes I drop to one or two bars while using the mouse. But other than that this is homerun, hat trick, or touchdown, whichever you please!

    Better than Logitech

    • Written by from Minneapolis

I used a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combination for years; the magic mouse is more responsive and easier to use. The lower profile doesn't cradle the hand as well as the logitech, but is very easy to use and configure. The bluetooth connectivity is much better than the flaky USB. The Magic Mouse works on many different surfaces, including the arm of my sofa. The 360 panning works well with Firefox when viewing very large images, as does the two finger forward and reverse pages. It comes with two AA batteries installed, making connectivity to my MacBook Pro 13" very easy. I highly recommend the magic mouse.

    I am very pleased!

    • Written by from Alamosa

I was expecting some slow tracking, apparently that issue seems to have been fixed, it tracks great. Response time is very fast (for games and whatnot that require speedy response), I felt like I was using a wired mouse. Design works very well aesthetically and the mouse, for me, is extremely comfortable - absolutely no wrist pain, cramps, etc. Scrolling is great, and navigating through images and videos, as I do some work in that area, is extremely fast and intuitive. Clicks feel great, I am having no errors with primary and secondary clicking. Definitely matches my iMac 24 inch, looks great on my desk. Batteries appear to last significantly longer than with other wireless mouses I have used. Works well on various surfaces, including very smooth, single-color surfaces and reflective surfaces. Extremely easy setup. 5 stars for sure! I have never been more happy with any single mouse I have used.

The Best Mouse On The Market!!

    • Written by from Hobe Sound

This mouse is absolutely the best mouse around! The fact that it doesn't take up one usb port like other mice! The laser engine inside the product is incredibly fast. Also the touch technology inside is very intelligent! Finally not to mention the sleek design of it is amazing!

    The Best Mouse!!!

    • Written by from Garden City

Not only does this mouse automatically sync to your mac as soon as you turn it on, but it is incredibly responsive, intelligent (multi-touch), and truly is the best mouse I've ever had. Not to mention, it doesn't even take up a USB port on my mac; what else could you possibly ask for from a mouse?

    Very Smooth

    • Written by from Saskatoon

I have had NONE of the problems others have complained about. Bought my macbook pro and magic mouse about 3 weeks ago. Have used both a lot and I find that they work perfectly together. There are mouses that require additional set-up after installing and some of the non apple mouses will not allow me to use all of their functions as my computer is so new they havnt kept up. I have been computing with a mouse for 18 years and this magic mouse is by far the smoothest operating, sleekest looking and easy to use out out of the box as I have ever owned or used. Cannot speak to battery life yet but in 3 weeks of heavy use the battery is still testing as strong! $70 is a lot for a mouse but i don't regret spending the money 1 bit! Greatn mouse!

The Best Mouse I Have Ever Used.

    • Written by from Alabaster

Of all the computer mice I have ever used, Apple's Magic Mouse is the best. Not so much for its form but rather for its function. The utility of its design is un-ignorable. The multi-touch surface brings vast new functions never seen in a mouse. Simply sliding a finger down the mouse is the perfect on-mouse scrolling functionality, as it eliminates all moving parts. In fact, the only apparent moving part in the whole device is the mouse itself. Downloading third-party software enables even more features such as taps and multi-finger clicks, allowing one to access the dock, engage exposé, view spaces, rotate pictures, zoom, and more without ever lifting a hand from the mouse.

Some people take a while to grow accustomed to the mouse's unique shape as you really do have to hold it differently than most mice; while others, like me, only took about an hour to get used to it. I find the best way to hold it is with my thumb on one side, my index and middle fingers on the top, and my ring and pinkie fingers on the side opposite my thumb. This leaves my index and middle fingers to hover over the mouse while I can use my remaining digits to adjust and move the mouse appropriately for whatever I'm trying to accomplish.

I'd recommend this mouse to most people. I suppose most video gamers, particularly first-person video gamers, would benefit from the tactile response of buttons; but everyone else is game. Even if you are having trouble using the mouse, I recommend you sticking with it and really trying to figure it out as it would be a loss to sacrifice such utility. I've seen too many poorly technologically inclined people get used to this mouse (my grandmother included) for me to believe there are many people who can't use this mouse after giving it a proper chance. I'd say try Magic Mouse for a month and a half, and if you're still not happy, then maybe it really is just not for you.
