    Very Convenient!!

    • Written by from Mount Pleasant

When I bought Magic Mouse with my Macbook Pro, I was a little skeptical because when I last used a wireless mouse, it just didn't quite work properly. I was amazed when I turned on my mouse and it automatically synced with my computer and how fast it's response time was! And it does everything the commercial said it would do! I only gave the Magic Mouse a four star because it can't zoom like the Multi-track Pad that is built into the Macbook Pro or like what you can do on an iPod Touch or iPhone when you need to enlarge a picture. But all in all I am pleased in the performances of Magic Mouse! I primarily use a mouse for quick movements and ease of use when I am doing photo editing, Apple's Magic Mouse gives me the quick movements through it's light-weight body and it provides me with an ease of use through it's slim form. I highly recommend this mouse to all who love editing graphics (whether in motion pictures or still pictures).

    3D Modelling and VFX (Maya2011 / After Effects CS5)

    • Written by from Armadale

This mouse is simply amazing, lets be honest the most common reason this mouse appeals to people is its looks and I was almost turned off buying it due to the lack of 3rd Mouse Button.
I'm a VFX Artist and do a lot of work in Autodesk Maya, 3Ds Max and Adobe After Effects. For those familiar with these programs know theres a lot demand for the 3rd Mouse Button and a lot of us in the field have been turned off the magic mouse for this exact reason. Well with a little research and determination I refused to settle and have a high priced MacPro with no such mouse to compliment it, well now I've found BetterTouchTool. It allows you to add gestures to your MagicMouse allowing for the 3rd Mouse Button and alot more.

I hope this wins over a lot of buyers in the field of 3D and VFX for this mouse amazing and no one should miss out.

    Amazing mouse

    • Written by from Raytown

This mouse is absolutely perfect. It goes above and beyond any regular mouse today.
Its only downfall is its quite Thirsty. I have to change batteries often. And its pretty sensitive.

Overall i would recommend someone to get it.

Great Mouse but eats batteries for every meal

    • Written by from Bonita Springs

Best mouse I've ever used and i'm on my 8th Mac.

Can't seem to get more than 3 weeks from any batteries though, either fresh Duracells or Energizers from the store or 2 types of rechargeable batteries. Right now I'm having the best luck with Imedion rechargeables from Powerex. The shortest time was 8 days.

The mouse is very good I love it...But the down side is the battery consumption, it consume a lot of battery, if you could go to the Dollar store and get a carton of AA battery you will be all set...

All but the side expose button on the mighty mouse is missing, this is by far the best web searching mouse ever. now apple needs to keep moving toward more interaction like this.

    Too flat

    • Written by from River Vale

Unlike others, I have no real probelms with tracking, accuracy, reliability, stiff or heavy feel on various surfaces, etc. It works pretty well. Yes, I'll admit the battery life could be better, but I use rechargeables and I expect them to discharge more quickly. However, I don't care because they're rechargeable. I also love the other Apple-specific features of this mouse such as the two-fingered swipes, etc.

The only issue I have with this mouse is that its profile is too flat. By this I mean that it sits quite low on the desk/table. When I place my hand over it to slide it or click, my hand is nearly flat. This makes the process of clicking seem a little awkward, it makes it a little harder to control feels ergonomically incorrect. If you are accustomed to cupping your hand over a mouse that has a little more height, this one will feel strange and a little bit uncomfortable.

So, overall, I like the mouse. I do not plan to replace it. I just wish it had a higher hump in the middle.

    Mouse makes my fingers hurt

    • Written by from New Ulm

I loved the look and feel of this mouse and it's new design. However, I use my computer so much that after a few hours, my fingers start to fall asleep. It seems to be the fingers that rest along the right side of the mouse. I was disappointed when this starting happening, both because I loved the mouse and wanted it to work, but also because it is so expensive and would have hoped for more. I need to find a differnt mouse, I am just not sure what I should get for my iMac 27. Just hope the next one works out better for me.

    Awesome mouse but...

    • Written by from Bishkek

I was disappointed that it has no 3rd button, so I tried to use third party app that adds more function to mouse but that was terribly buggy. But I'm happy that I own it, this is Apple's best mouse ever produced. Apple should add more gestures and third button, because for instance 3D designers and artsits use third button.

    Excellent Mouse

    • Written by from Kaysville

This mouse is great. It is comfortable to use, the scrolling is amazing. I love it. But the battery life is a joke. Im lucky to get a month on 2 batteries! Other mice I've had have gone 6 times that, and they only use 1 battery. The multitouch is great, but the battery life is horrendous. And the price is a little high for a mouse.

    Wonderful product!

    • Written by from Aurora

I love the sleek and thin design. It saves me a USB port, as I like to daisy chain my older one button USB mouse into one of the ports on the side - and real estate is important for my older model Mac Mini. Why they price it at the same price as the smaller keyboard is odd, but not a bad thing.

    Overall pretty good

    • Written by

I got the magic mouse a couple months ago and thought it was fantastic. It's still smooth and works great. I only have a few problems which is at the bottom it tracks dirt and dust. And my main problem is that it does not have the buttons on the side so you can look at all your applications on the screen. I had to do a little app at the bottom that i click but i just wish you could do something to Expose. Overall it's pretty good.

    Apple Magic Mouse

    • Written by from Bentonville

I really wanted this mouse for a while, and I tried it out at the local BestBuy, and was sold. It took me a while to configure it to scroll speed preferences, etc (about 5 mins), and since then I've really enjoyed the mouse and the multitouch functionality. Similarly, I really enjoy the optional secondary click function, having to go between the MacBook and school PCs, I have come to deeply miss a *dedicated* secondary click.
One complaint, and thats why 4/5 stars- impossible to game with, from Minecraft, to Starcraft, I couldn't manage to use it with the same efficacy as a $10 USB one from Walmart.
Overall, adds marvelously to the experience.

    truly magic

    • Written by from Moose Lake

Magic mouse is by far the best mouse I have ever used, and I have tried many in the past. The functions on this mouse never cease to amaze me. However the one drawback with this mouse is it eats batteries like they were cheese.I realize that with all the functions it needs more power, but if you buy one of these , use rechargeble batteries and keep charged spares handy.

    magic mouse is for me

    • Written by from Woodhaven

I recently tried the magic mouse and the magic track pad. I liked the magic track pad but it did not "fit" me as the magic mouse did. I used the pro mouse for years and the magic mouse is similar to that pro mouse without the annoying dust and debris caught inside the tiny trackball.
I gave the rating a 4 only because of the sharp lines along the body which should be rounded and smooth. Other than that I'm lovin it. I really like the scroll with inertia.

    Awesome, but...

    • Written by from Phoenix

I have a MightyMouse too, and never use it anymore. Apple finally almost got it right.
I say almost, because to make this mouse really work, you need to download MagicPrefs.
This third party driver makes the mouse work like it should.
Without it, you can't even middle-click. This software gives you full control over all aspects of the mouse.
The mouse did take a little getting used to, like the new Apple track pads, but it's well worth it once you do.
Another major flaw is not new to Apple mice. The battery cover falls of very easily.
Apple has problems making battery covers latch properly on their mice, but even with this problem, I wouldn't use any other mouse.
The other nice thing that just came out is a USB charging pad that the mouse just sets on and charges wirelessly.
I plan on getting this too. It's from Mobee, and maybe it will help with the cover falling off. I will soon see....
Even though it's the best mouse I have ever used, because of the above issues, I cannot give it 5 stars. Apple is capable of correcting these things, and only time will tell.

    Pretty good

    • Written by from Canton

This mouse is really comfortable and fun to use, but it's unreliable. It loses it's connection with my Macbook Pro quite often, which gets annoying. It's also terrible for gaming, if that's what you're looking for. But the technology and coolness behind it are what make it worth owning.

    Magic for sure

    • Written by from Flushing

I really like the mouse, the finger movement is really sweat. It takes a little tweaking on the settings to get it adjusted to your liking, but once it's set your good to go. The only thing I think would make it better is if was a little bigger for the palm.
