    Magic Mouse 6 Month Review

    • Written by from Asheville

This mouse is the best and worst mouse ever. When it works it is incredible; like a touchpad on top of a mouse....great. The bad part is when it gives up randomly and screws up your whole day to try and reestablish a bluetooth mouse when you don't have a working mouse. I have tried new batteries and everything. It just sometimes stops and won't come on. Then it will stay off for 3 days and then decide to turn back on. For these reasons I have to give the Magic Mouse only 1 star. Even if it is awesome, whats the use if it is totally unreliable.

    Wonderful mouse!

    • Written by from Montreal

I really like the Magic Mouse. I got it by purchasing an used iMac, and I really like it! I like the two finger swipe feature to switch between apps. However, in gestures it's inferior to the Magic Trackpad. You can't open the Notification Center nor the Launchpad, and the two-finger double tap to open Mission Control is a bit hard to do. The two-finger swipe up would be better. A bit uncomfortable too, but a big improvement over the previous Mighty Mouse. Definitely worth the upgrade for any Mac user.

    Great mouse!

    I love this device!

    • Written by from Reno

I have an older IMac and the mouse stopped scrolling. I replaced the stock optical mouse with this Blue Tooth enabled mouse. I love how useful this device is. You can place the mouse where it is comfortable then let your fingers do the work. You can scroll, swipe between pages and click simply with a touch of your finger. Wonderful.

    MY ARM HURTS

    • Written by from Ann Arbor

As much as I'd like to say that I like this mouse because of the cool gestures, I really can't. 5 minutes with this mouse and I have wrist and forearm pain...this is the first time I've ever experienced anything of the sort in my 20some years of hardcore computer use. It is pretty clear to me that ergonomics didn't come into mind when designing this mouse. Fashion won over function apparently. I'm going to put this thing back in the box and buy myself a nice, comfy Logitech mouse. To go along with my Logitech solar powered keyboard. Apple, you need to work on your peripherals. Nobody wants wrist/arm pain, and nobody wants to change batteries. Period.

Great mouse - but loses connection repeatedly

    • Written by from Yellowknife

I like this mouse but it constantly loses connection with my MacPro. Very frustrating when you're on a deadline and have to repeatedly stop and wait for the connection to be re-established.

    Wrist pain

    • Written by from Geneva

I've never had hand/wrist problems with computer use in my life until I started using this mouse. I've been using it at work for a couple of months now, I kept thinking I just needed to get used to it, but time is up. It's just evil.

    Can get very annoying

    • Written by from la puente

Sometimes the right click doesn't work and if you are using After Effects or Premiere, prepare to get annoyed with the random zooming. This mouse is perfect for browsing back and forth between web pages because of its swipe feature.

    Junk

    • Written by from NORFOLK

It's not clear from scanning the reviews how long people have owned this mouse. In my experience, it loses connection more and more over time. I have to wait in frustration until it reconnects. It always has fresh batteries. The metal back has come off so many times that I just leave it off. However attractive, I have ditched this mouse for a good old fashion plug in.

    constanlty mucks up!

    • Written by from kailua kona

60% of the time that I hit on the mouse, left, front, back, center etc, during a game or using for everyday click, it RIGHT clicks and opens up Options instead of doing what it should. I despise this mouse but it was included in my newest iMac purchase and the mouse is pure rubbish.

    Horrible

    • Written by from San Antonio

I'm on my second "Magic Mouse" and it again doesn't work well. It constantly disconnects from the computer (while in use), the right button works intermittently, it eats batteries, has unsteady tracking, and scrolls erratically. The first "Magic Mouse" had the same problems until it just stopped working. My wife has a "Magic Mouse" and it too has similar problems. My circa 2006 USB Apple Mouse works better than the "Magic Mouse".

    Annoying

    • Written by from Bedford

I've had this mouse for over a year now, ever since I bought my iMac. It's a cool mouse, cool functions but every now and then Ill move my hand away barely touching the mouse and it'll move my whole screen. Thats not even the annoying part. The mouse constantly disconnects from my computer when Im using it, full batteries and everything. I have to sit here clicking away until it reconnects, it happens all the time. Sorry Apple, I'll be getting a new mouse with better bluetooth capabilities.

    Garbage

    • Written by from Baton Rouge

I titled this"Garbage," because that is where my my "magic mouse" is. And not the first one, the second one. These things are cheap, and they are garbage. I wish I could have my $140 back. Apple should be ashamed for putting this product out. And I am NOT tough on equipment, these are just poorly made. Save your money and use the touchpad. It is a good indicator of quality that Apple won't let me use the word C.R.A.P. in this review. What are they worried about?

    Very Painful, Love/ Hate Relationship

    • Written by from Brookhaven

The best mouse ever...I HATE IT.
Great features, works flawlessly. It's a shame I can't use it, it hurts my wrist and forearm after about 10 minutes of use. I have tried the Track Pad and found some issues with that too. It's a shame, my first experience with having an Apple computer and I'm very disappointed , I may try the older wired one that I have seen in the Apple store , I really want to use an Apple mouse on my iMac so I'm not giving up, I refuse to use any of my older PC stuff on my Mac....The search is on

    Geez! What happened to dependability?

    • Written by from American Canyon

I am very disappointed that after a year, my MM's laser tracking is not responding. I had to pull out my 2002 wired mouse to bail me out! Seriously Apple! $75 for a product that has not endurance. SMH!!! I will try to get a replacement (free) from Apple. Stay posted on outcome.

    Perfect daily driver

    • Written by from China grove

This mouse is perfect for your everyday needs. Do not buy the Mobee Magic Charger for this mouse because the battery pack they send you makes the mouse disconnect quite frequently and is very aggravating. The only downside of this mouse is that i play a lot of games like Gary's Mod or WOW and you will need another mouse with dedicated left and right click buttons for you to be happy. Other than that this is a great mouse I use everyday and well worth the money because of the gestures you can use on it.

Absolutely awesome mouse, instead of working with Photoshop

    • Written by from Veliko Tarnovo

Really love it the design, the multi-touch features. It's great for everything, but Photoshop. If you're like me working with precise scrolling then this one is not for you.

    Best Mouse

    • Written by from Cape Broyle

I don't know why people say it is uncomfortable it's awesome! The tracking is great, very fast but you can adjust that. Multitouch is great! Overall best mouse yet! Try one out at a best buy or apple store near you.

    Bad.....

    • Written by from South Mills

If I scroll down, 70% of the time it will swipe back.

This mouse drains batteries in 5-10 days.

After about a week, even though this should last longer, the mouse dies in the middle of Logic Pro use.....

Looks great wish it worked with the iPhone 5!

    • Written by from White Plains

Have my new iPhone 5 works great only problem is the carpel tunnel I'm getting in both hands from holding with one and typing or clicking with the other. I'm nearsighted and the display is great without my glasses if I hold it up close but unfortunately this appears to be just right to mess up both hands. If I could use a mouse with my wrist strait it would help greatly. But unfortunately that's not to be since apple has decided otherwise and you can't even use an aftermarket Bluetooth mouse with it. Very disappointed in an otherwise impressive product .
