    Terrible Product

    • Written by from Kalamazoo

The mouse does not open links correctly. Once you click it gives you dialogue box similar to a right click that you cant click off of. The scrolling touch mouse does not work either. WORST APPLE PRODUCT EVER.

I don't know why people keep complaining.

I've owned my magic mouse for 4 months and haven't had to replace the batteries yet. It's tracking works great and it never misreads my touches or clicks. It is my favorite mouse I have ever owned.

Pretty sweet mouse. Kind of pricey for what you get.

    • Written by from Winthrop

I initially bought the mouse when I had a college dorm, and I loved it. It looked great on my desk, and functioned wonderfully. I had only one problem with it. I got Half-Life 2 for my 13" Macbook Pro, and while using the mouse was a lot easier than the touchpad, it seemed to have hypersensitive scrolling, which changes weapons in Half-Life and produces an annoying buzz due to the weapons changing so fast. Even with the scrolling sensitivity all the way down, with a slight slide, it would scroll a few pages worth of normal scrolling.

Then I transfered to a different college, and moved into an apartment. My table (my stand in desk for now) has a glass top, so the mouse doesn't work on it. I didn't really expect an optical mouse to work on a clear surface, but I thought this thing was "Magic".

Other than those two minor issues, it really is a great mouse. I would recommend buying it. The price is a little steep, but you get what you pay for. Every gesture seems natural, its very sturdy, and it should last a long time. My only question I have about it still is... "Will it blend?"

    A Must Have

    • Written by from Danville

Just received the Apple Magic Mouse 2 days ago. Bought it so I could use my MacBook Pro with a monitor and have the laptop closed. Unbelievable, if you have any doubts (which I had), please try it. It works seamlessly, the clicks are accurate and even the right click feature works very well. Couldn't be happier with this mouse.

    Best mouse ever

    • Written by from Pierrefonds

I don't why some people give poor reviews to this mouse--it's excellent! The battery life is good and I use it daily, and the thing works better than most other devices that I have tried--smooth, and comfy at the same time. The finish is superb too and it still looks brand new like ti came out of the box, and I have had it for more than a year now.

    Not the Quality I Expected

    • Written by from Sterling

I do a lot of formatting work in documents, so I need a mouse. I also have tendonitis in both wrists. This mouse is comfortable, but I've only had it about 40 days and have had to change the batteries twice already--ridiculous! Also, the mouse goes wonky. Not zippy mouse, more stuck mouse. The way an optical mouse does if something gets in the optic part. Only there's nothing in this. Not impressed, and Apple impressed me with everything else when I bought my MacBook Air.

I got the Magic Mouse for my birthday and i have used it every day since! Its wireless, which is great! There are no cords, no usb thing to stick in the computer. It uses bluetooth, which is awesome! I love all the cool features it uses! I plan on using this mouse every day!

    Uncomfortable!

    • Written by from Jacksonville

By far, the most uncomfortable mouse I have ever used! I like the concept, but would love it if it followed the same form and structure of Apple's regular mouse. The old style, with it's curved design, just fits better.

    Great Mouse

    • Written by from Highlands Ranch

At first I have to admit that I didn't like this mouse., but after doing so, it has become my favorite mouse ever. I think that it simply requires a little relearning and muscle memory to become comfortable with it. Once you do, it grows on you.

    Best mouse I ever owned!

    • Written by from SEVERN

the multitouch is very nice to have, no more mechanical parts to fail with scroll. Connection is quick and easy. even will work if you have to boot off your OS X Install disc. Battery life is long. I have owned this from about a month from when it was released and I am on my third set of batteries! Also replaced them 3 or 4 weeks ago and battery level is still at 100% with it being used up to 7 hours a day and never turning it off, auto sleep is a good feature.

power consumption is very large .....

    • Written by from Hillsborough

I've used this mice for over 6 months. The shape and function is better than previous version, but the power consumption is very bad. I need to change twice per month. I hope Apple can improve this point in the next version???

    Awesome.

    • Written by from Coatesville

The mouse is amazing. I have been using it with my Macbook Pro and have not had a problem yet. Any reviews stating that it does things not told to do is completely inaccurate. The user probably just doesn't understand how to use it. 5 out of 5 stars from me.

    Magic Mouse is Magical

Slick, useful piece of equipment that is big change for the better over prior iterations. Tracks nicely on any surface-really does not need a mousepad. Good energy usage.

    A lovely but slow-moving mouse

    • Written by from Hamilton

I just purchased my magic mouse and after using it for a few minutes I'm generally impressed by it. My only real qualm is that it is not a fast mouse. Unlike my Mighty Mouse, when I use the Magic Mouse (on the fastest 'tracking' setting), I'm forced to move the mouse much further than usual to get it across the screen. The other functions are great and it's visually pleasing. I guess I'll just have to get used to lifting it off my mouse pad and using inertia to get it across the screen. If only the tracking were as sensitive as the Mighty Mouse. If you need to move your cursor across the screen quickly, avoid this mouse like the plague. If you don't mind dragging the mouse around more it's an impressive tool.

A cure for lost mouse-computer connections

    • Written by from Woodlawn

My mouse began losing its connection to my iMac earlier this year. Last week it acted up so much that I put it aside and got out an older mouse. When I had time to examine the Magic Mouse, I discovered that the battery compartment was dusty. After I cleaned it by brushing out loose stuff and cleaning the contacts with a cotton swab dunked in alcohol, I put the batteries in and turned it on. The problem disappeared.

    Great mouse, but....

    • Written by from Candor

Excellent mouse, so smooth, no moving scroll parts that get clogged with dirt, but prepare to invest in MANY AA batteries. This thing eats through batteries like there is no tomorrow. If they made one with a cord, it would be the best mouse ever.

    Great piece

    • Written by from Bandon

When i started looking for a wireless mouse for my MB Pro i thought this seemed very expensive, but in looking for an alternative i saw there was not much that could connect to bluetooth. most of what i found needed you to plug a wireless receiver into the USB port, and lets face it thats not real wireless and even those were expensive, around the 50 Euro mark. so i caved and bought this, and it is the best mouse I've ever used. The pan and swipe is just fantastic, and i downloaded 'Better Touch Tool' so i can program my own custom motions on it. i'm using adobe creative suite, and i find this mouse makes it much easier to use, especially as i can use the mouse and the trackpad at the same time to for instance.. scroll and zoom together.

What the heck was I doing......

    • Written by from PORTLAND

I'd been using the regular usb mouse for two years since I first bought my computer and I'd always had trouble with the tracking ball. I cleaned and cleaned and it would work for a bit then go back to its old ways......not to mention the annoying cord that was always in the way.
This is an expensive mouse for sure - but its so awesome I'm so annoyed I used that other piece so long. This mouse is fits in my hand nicely, tracks without a hitch, clicks with authority, and has a good weight to it....you'll see what I mean. The different tracking features are great and set-up is a cinch. Its hard spending money like this on sometime like a mouse, but you'll be glad you did.
