Reviews for Rechargeable Battery - 13-inch MacBook (aluminum)

I bought my MacBook in early 2009, and started having trouble with the battery in less than a year--it ran out to quickly, didn't charge fully, etc.--and things got progressively worse from there on. Unfortunately I waited until after I had clocked 300 cycles on it before I called about a replacement... Once you pass that, you're out of warranty, and out of luck! Not satisfied.

I too, had my MacBook 13 months and the battery just up and died. I've has an Apple portable for 8 years now in some generation or another and the batteries STILL hold a charge - but not this one. And I have Apple Care - but it's not covered, as batteries are expendables. But 13 months?

Disappointing.

Anyone who left a good review of this battery when they first got it should be obligated to post a second review a year or so down the road....Now I no nothing last forever, especially the charge on a notebook battery, but it should not go from working one day to completely destroyed the next. I was having problems with my white macbook and took it into the genius bar...they fixed the problem but I am being told my battery is trash now, and it worked perfectly before going in there. He pushed a few buttons, did some things and Bam,,,,broken battery...Here you go Sir, you need to buy a battery for 129.00....Lame

currently 42 months old with 2 hours 10 mins each life with max brightness and a lot of apps open, can't complain. always remove the battery when i dock it to an external screen.

Same here, everyday intense usage and after about one year computer shuts down and battery is completely down although recently charged.. New one needed!!

Dunno what's going on, but this battery just doesn't cut it anymore. I've had this second generation, or first, aluminum laptop for little under a year and now the battery is acting up. The battery can't last no longer than 45 minutes without dying. As I type this, the battery went down from 21% to 14%, which was about five minutes. I like this brand, but this is ridiculous. I don't want to have to switch over to Dell or Sony.

I have had my 13" macbook for just under two years now and I am getting the service battery light. My battery will no longer charge, nor will it last any time away from the plug. I have a pc at home that is four years old and still runs on the same battery. Also $129 for a replacement? A new pc battery only cost $80. This cobbled with the three times I have had to replace the hard drive, I will probably go with pc next time.

Mac is great, but only when it works.
