    Cycle count: 735
    Condition: Normal
    Health: 93%

This battery lasts about 3.5 hours under normal use (internet browsing, e-mail, etc.) and just long enough to watch most movies in HD. People that are complaining about their batteries dying prematurely need to learn how to take care of them.

Two years old now with approx 100 cycles and battery holds a good 4-5 hours charge depending on the programs running and brightness of the screen. I found that it helps to calibrate the battery when you first use it, then occasionally (some say once a week, I do it more like once every 2-3 months). According to specialists it is recommended that the laptop stays plugged in when possible, this way you prolong the life of the battery.
Some people experience over heating of the battery, this will happen especially when running on battery power, and when several programs are open. This causes the battery to warm as well as the processor. There is a tiny fan that is desperately trying to cool the laptop down but it's not easy. To help that, try keeping the laptop in a well ventilated area, preferable on a flat surface rather than on a blanket or anything that prevents the heat exchange. Hope this helps.

I have had mine 15 months and it still charges 100% and gives me a full day´s work as I don´t take my charger with me. I ALWAYS run it flat before charging as recommended. It charges to 100% and no change in the time I have had it. Lots of "short" charges WILL ruin the battery.

I've had my Macbook for 22 months now. My battery is at 275 cycles and the battery capacity is at 4006 mAh. The original capacity was 4100 mAh. Maybe there are defective batteries out there, but mine has been just fine.

500 plus cycles and you are complaining??

it's rated for 300, anymore is a bonus, I love all the people throwing up stats over 300 cycles and complaining. You'll get more use if u drain and recharge weekly, rather than rarely draining as u most do but it's only rated for 300 cycles and anymore is gravy now go buy a new battery

    It's still going on after 637 cycles @ 92%

As an owner of an October 2008 Aluminum Macbook, I have to say that I've this battery longer than most people, adding to the credibility. To the review of this date, it's been 1 year and 7 months (or 19 months) since I've had the battery, and here are the stats:

    Charge Information:
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 3781
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 637
    Condition: Normal
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): 2063
    Voltage (mV): 11290

It was only suppose to work after 300 cycles (which are full charge/discharges). 300 cycles is approximately 3 YEARS for the average user. As a college student & a techie, I use my battery alot and very well. I expected a dropoff of battery life right after 300 cycles, but nope! To this day, I still get approximately 3-4 hours, which I have the display on FULL BRIGHTNESS.

In comparison, my original battery life was 4 hours to 4 hours and 45mins. If we do the math in terms of cycle count and time for the average user, my battery is AFTER 6+ YEARS (300 cycles = 3 years, so 637 cycles = 6+ years) only lost about 45 minutes of battery life.

I can only imagine what the newer batteries of the Macbooks must be like. Apple produced quality products. Slightly pricy, but VERY WELL worth it.

Ya! I love the battery life that Apple created for this computer. I now enjoying more time with my computer without the worry of loosing battery life..... soon. I hope you guys in Apple could make a battery that could last for 7hrs for my 13" MacBook Pro Aluminum 6th Gen 2.4GHz.

For many computer users, Apple pricing over its products really sets them back to purchasing this brand of computer. But I believe, like many of us do, Apple presents reasonable pricing in consideration to the quality of the product they offer. And yes! I'm now a proud and will always be a proud owner (of a MacBook Pro 13" 6th Gen).

I just came back from my vacation in Europe. I was there for 2 ½ weeks - reason why I purchased my first 13” Aluminum Macbook (which by the way it’s awesome!) - Anyway, after I purchased my Macbook, I realized that one battery will probably not be enough as the plane ride was pretty long. I decided to order another battery and let me tell you, I am glad I did! It was perfect for my trip, I got to see a couple of movies and work with pictures while in the plane and train rides of the trip. Changing the battery is a breeze, takes me about a minute to do it… very easy!

I totally recommend it, especially if you have to travel often. About the charge life, I experienced 4 hrs, but this is watching movies and with airport on (Blue tooth off). You may be able to get 5 hrs out of these batteries if all that you are doing is word processing.

    Enjoy!

After getting my aluminum macbook I decided that i would need a secondary battery because often I am away from a plug all day doing work. These batteries are great let me tell you. I average 4 hours per charge with brightness and keyboard backlighting at 25% and with airport connected. With 2 of these batteries I almost never have to plug in my laptop during the day, only once I get home for the night and put my laptop away to use my MacPro

The battery lasts a long while.
If it's used correctly, it will last for around 3-4 hours.

Just open a few applications and don't brighten the screen to much.
Connecting to the internet won't help, but it will still last enough.

Buying it will help on long trips.
