    macbook 2008 battery

    Battery has very good life to it, mine is on 1,503 cycles currently and still in good condition. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the price.

    Battery Life Decent/Cost is silly

    I am about to replace the battery on my 13" Macbook after 1390 cycles, I guess that is pretty decent from what I read. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the cost.

    i have had this laptop for about two years, and my battery is at 54% after 568 cycles. Batteries die so it makes sense that its time to replace it, The only problem is the price but its been two years so I should have the money laying around somewhere by now.

    I've had my Macbook for 2 years now and the battery is nearly as good as the day I bought it, as shown below. Original full charge capacity was 4100mAh, now 4080mAh... no complaints from me! Beats any PC I've ever owned!

    I think the key is to make sure you use the battery appropriately - don't just leave it plugged in. Let the battery run down before recharging and you will extend it's life and usefulness.

    Battery life

    To bring some balance to these reviews I've had my aluminum MacBook since they were first released. The battery is currently at 98% health after 340 cycles.

    Clearly the battery life will depend on how you use/treat it. I always let it die before plugging in and always let it fully recharge.

    Don't negatively rate a product due to its inherent limitations. These problems you're experiencing will happen to all batteries given the same treatment

    Honestly the battery life in these things depends on how you treat it. If you let it die completely before charging it and then taking it off the charger when its done then the battery will last you minimum of two years. Mine is almost two years old and i still have 3873 mAh left with over 891 cycles. People tell me that is amazing but that's how it should be. Apple makes quality products you just have to treat them right.

    Good battery, I had my MacBook for about 2 years and the computer says "Service Battery." I've had about 400 charge cycles.

    I never got a second battery before, but i'll get another one!

    After 3 years of using, my laptop's battery is going down of it capacity. It's always shut my computer down automatically even it's full charged.

    I checked the Power information: Cycle count is 213 and Condition is Check battery.

    I'm at 94% after 449 cycles. I kinda wish it was one of the 8-hour batteries, but no complaints for its stellar performance as the type of battery it is.

    I was very pleased with the battery when new. I wasn't surprised when the battery life declined over time. At the one-year mark, however, it would suddenly shut off, without saving, even though it was showing 30% or more charge. Moral of the story: plan on replacing it every so often.
