I am using these on the touch for Skype, they work awesome. Is there a two prong adapter for these so I can use them with my PC?

Microphone Earbuds
Written by JL from Blaine
Dec 13, 2009
The controls for the volume, playback, the microphone works great, and the music quality is a little bit above average. The earbuds do not want to stay in my ears so I might go back to the earbuds I got with my 3rd generation nano cause I am getting fed up with them falling out.

Earbuds for 3GS
Written by TS from SHOW LOW

These are terrific earbuds, except......
The sound is good, the fit is good, the remote buttons work flawlessly, but they simply don't last. I wear my iPhone for about 15 hours a day and the earbuds last for a month or so. Typically one earpiece starts sounding distorted or quits altogether. Good thing I bought the Apple Care Extended Plan as Apple happily sends me a new set overnight FedEx every time they go bad. When they work, they work great, but they just don't work for long. If it weren't for the fact that Apple replaces them instantly, I would rate them far lower.34 of 39 people found this useful

Amazing, except the right earphone!
Written by MW from Winfiled

These wonderful earphones are the only type of earphone that actually stay in my ears! The only problem is that after about 3/4 of a year, the right earphone stopped working, not completely, but you have to crank it up to hear! I hardly ever have both in anyways because i'm always talking to friends. Besides this minor difficulty, the earphones are superb sound quality and I would suggest them to everyone!

Earphone comments and how to fix the volume control
Written by RM from rancho cucamonga
Nov 21, 2009
I like the sound of the earphones, they have the best bass for non-sealing earbuds that I have found, but the volume control quit working the other day. It appears the control is not sealed and sweat gets in it. Someone else mentioned it has to dry out, but I must have particularly pernicious sweat, because it did not heal itself. The solution was to spray a light oil on the inline control, in this case I used WD-40. I generously sprayed it, clicked the controls a few times, and it started working almost immediately, the only problem is now I smell like sweat and WD-40. As with any technical opinion you do this at your own risk, I am just relating what I did. This is for a touch, and I do not use the microphone, so I have no idea if it is affected.

Durable, sleek and a must for Voip on iTouches

If you want to do telephony with an iTouch as of now (Nov 2009) no Bluetooth headsets are supported (only a2dp for stereo streaming, no BT mikes) - so these earphones are blessings in disguise for crystal clear telephony - skypeout's my landline.
All other pros and cons are as mentioned by others.3 of 6 people found this useful

Pretty Decent

The idea is great. The remote and mic, perfect for the touch since you can't control it when it's in your pocket. No problems for me yet, still work fine... sound is pretty good. I had it for almost a month more or less.
I really wish Bose could follow along this idea adding VOLUME-CONTROL buttons etc to their remote and mic headphones. I don't plan to use these much longer because I'm getting the Bose mobile in-ears. Bose is honestly unbeatable in sound, so the trade-off for the volume control buttons is worth it to me.

Great features, bad fit.

These headphones came with my iPhone 3Gs.
I'm very happy with the functioning of the headphones and how well they integrate with Voice Control on the iPhone. I use the volume buttons and the play/pause/skip functions all the time when listening to music.
The sound quality is standard to what anyone could expect from ear buds.
The fit of these ear buds is subjective to the shape of your ear, so I would try them in store before buying them separately. They did not fit my ear well at all, and so the sound wasn't very complete.
Also, Apple seems to have adjusted the rubber insulation around the wires because they do not get AS tangled as the old ear buds.1 of 2 people found this useful

Nice fit, nice sound
Written by TJ from Bartlesville

Bought these for my iPhone since I bought it used without headphones - sound quality is as expected as I've had other Apple headphones for my old iPod, and they fit very well, though I have heard that some people have trouble with keeping them in their ears.
I thought it was a bonus that I would have a mic and remote, but was disappointed that Apple decided to keep that feature exclusive to the 3GS, but that's a complaint to take up with the iPhone 3GS, not the headphones themselves, as I'm still happy with the music quality. It's clear and balanced, and the bass is adequate.8 of 15 people found this useful

great headphones
Written by PG from Union

the earphones i bought for my ipod nano 4th gen are very useful because i am able to record college lectures. I bought these to replace my original pair that came with the ipod since my naughty cat decided to chew on them as a toy. The sound quality is excelent and beats previous recorders like the Soni ICD p210 series.
The only suggestion would be if an included earphone case is designed to store them safely rather than having them all tangled.
thank you apple for including very high quality microphones into the; set of original ipod headphones without bulky controls.
Also, they should be more durable and rubery like the JVC headphones for future designs, but otherwise, they are great.
Another suggestion would be a more affordable price for those headphones based on durability.8 of 16 people found this useful

Ok, these headphones are actually quite decent! the sound quality is DECENT but do have somewhat of a weak bass. I think that the fact that you can control your ipod just from the headphones is a HUGE benefit. I would recommend these headphones.

Very Good For Now - Great if it lasts!
Written by PM from Peterborough

Impressed with the quality of recording with the mic - voice memos and Skype - considering the price. Ear buds are usual Apple - very acceptable. The controls on the inline switch take a little getting used to especially going to the next/previous song in iTunes, and the switch itself feels a bit flimsy. Only time will tell if it stands up to normal wear and tear. Overall - this meets my expectations for an inexpensive headset for use with Skype on my iPod Touch.

why did they stop selling normal earbuds?

These are good, other than the fact there's more delicate things to break (like the volume control) Why did they stop selling the normal earbuds witout all the bells and whistles?

It solved my necessity
Written by JA from SAO PAULO

I own a Classic 120. I use it in my pants' front pocket, inside a neoprene cover (originally for cell phones - BUILT NY). It was a paint to control it with the clickwheel, had to press it hard and with no precision, and I was afraid this'd end up damaging it.
When I saw this earphone set I believed it could be a nice answer to my problem. So far, so nice. I've been using it for a month with no problems. It just works, like most things Apple. I'm not a runner, I can't speak for that sweat problem some found.
Concerning sound quality, these are the same that came with your iPod plus the remote. Ah, and the mic. Fine for general use.
I'm happy with this product. It solved my problem.6 of 7 people found this useful

The headphones sound not really bad, that depend how you settings on your iphone or your ipod EQ. I found that this item still better the other i have likes sony or nokia headphones, i still can get the high frequency and low frequency and the bass are tight. i used to listen the tube amplifier are made in 1960-1970 from USA and speaker are from english.....this not a bad headphones, it depend how you download your songs and setting.....hehe

Great buds, but they FORGOT!!!
Written by JO from des plaines

i really give 4 1/2 stars, but apple used to give you these foam like covers to go on the ear buds, you may remember if you have an older pod, i got them with my ipod video, just black foam covers, they were great, they make the buds stay in your ears easy, EVEN WHEN YOUR SWEATING!!! apple for some reason (probably because they can sell the separate) have stopped giving them with the head phones...
control works great, double click the middle for next song, triple click for last, mic works awesome for shazam and skype...
the sound quality is much better than old apple ear buds you used to get, yes, it is kind of like a tin can, but they are ear buds, what do people expect?
if apple gave me the little foam things i would say 5 stars!! great buy for $30!!4 of 5 people found this useful
