    Pretty Decent

Written by GC from West covina

    Nov 12, 2009

The idea is great. The remote and mic, perfect for the touch since you can't control it when it's in your pocket. No problems for me yet, still work fine... sound is pretty good. I had it for almost a month more or less.
I really wish Bose could follow along this idea adding VOLUME-CONTROL buttons etc to their remote and mic headphones. I don't plan to use these much longer because I'm getting the Bose mobile in-ears. Bose is honestly unbeatable in sound, so the trade-off for the volume control buttons is worth it to me.

why can't apple make a headset that doesn't fall apart?

Written by ZP from Old Lyme

    Nov 12, 2009

Two stars because the sound quality is decent. But I have had 2 of these break in less than a year and I am by no means rough on them! An on going joke in our house is that my husband goes thru headsets like underwear and thanks to the lousy construction of this headset I might catch up with him soon! Seriously Apple, why can't you make the standard headset with the iPhone last longer??

    Short in Right Earbud

    Written by BB from Crosby

    Nov 11, 2009

There is a short in the right ear bud. The unit was less than a week old when the glitch appeared. They had not been dropped, kinked, pulled, or exposed to moisture. So just simply a horrible product. I do not recommend purchasing a second set!

The first set of these earphones I purchased didnt work. The second pair are two months old and are malfunctioning. Poor Quality, unusual for an apple product.

    VERY Disappointing

    Written by BS from Mesquite

They started off great...then the right one stopped working after a month. For an Apple product I was highly disappointed in these headphones. Come on Apple! :(
You should definitely not buy the earphones with the mic and remote. Spend your $30 on something that will last longer than a month.

The remote broke for no appearent reason

    Written by KY from Decatur

    Nov 10, 2009

Loving my iPod touch 32gig not loving the ear buds with the broken mic and remote. I can hear through the buds fine, so no probs there the remote just doesn't work all of a sudden. I shouldn't have to pay 30 bucks to replace something that should still be under waranty

    Seriously?

    Written by AG from Nashville

    Nov 10, 2009

After all these years of Apple doing amazing things the one thing that lags,,,these headphones. There terrible. I was really bummed out that I dropped 400 bucks on a Ipod Touch and got this lousy buds with them? It's like going to some far away tourist trap and walking out with empty pockets and a shirt that says I went to Vegas and all I got was this lousy t shirt.

For the price we pay for great innovations in tech, they lack in the final details of something that can complete the deal and represent there product in a much better light. Like buying a Porsche and getting cardboard floormats.........

    Uhm, it died ?

    Written by KW from Brooklyn

So, the other day, I was listening to my music and one of the poor earphones got caught in my clothing. Suffice to say, before it got caught in my clothing, getting jerked along the way, both earphones worked perfectly. Afterwards, the right side did a total let down and stopped working. I have no idea what happened. I'm really annoyed with the new headphones because they seem so fragile. The side that doesn't house the remote is super stretchy and gives the impression of popping under little tugging. I suppose that's what happened when it got caught in my jacket.
While I love the idea of the new nano and headphones, sometimes I have to wonder because, what if you manage to accidentally mess up your headphones (and no one likes walking around with music in one ear, like me), you can't use another set of normal headphones because it will not work. So, where does that leave you ? Buying a new pair of expensive headphones all the time ?

    Please!

Written by AO from West Hollywood

These came with my new Iphone G3. They blew out in right ear after 3 days. The volume control on the wire does some crazy things. Cheap and the sound is obviously bad. I have been let down recently with Apple. Never thought I'd say that as I have been a solo Apple user since the mid 90's!

Great idea, but not moisture proof!

Written by RW from Santa Cruz

I love the ease of changing songs, the control on the chord is so nice. But if you workout with them and any moisture gets near the control- the head phones will be toast. Please fix this issue!

    Hey Guys,

I've purchased these headphones 3 weeks ago. only one word to describe how they are..

AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are the best earphones ive ever ever ever ever ever ever had!
Recommend them to anyone. Smooth bass, crystal clear, handy when running with iPod (easy volume control skipping songs reversing songs pausing songs and good audio recordings)
GET THE MONEY AND GET THE HEADPHONES!!!! Great JOB APPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had the 3Gs for two months now and for the past two weeks one ear phone doesn't work, and people say they hear me like if Im far away. These things break very easily without even doing anything to it.

    Flimsy freebie

    Written by RD from Atlanta

    Nov 6, 2009

The playback is ok, and the earbuds don't bother me. The mic funciton is great for operating the phone, especially at the gym.

The remote is frustrating. In theory: squeeze once to pause, twice to advance on song. In practice: does not work. Squeezes are not read consistently, so that I will pause instead of advance or nothing will happen at all.

Cord is also sort for tall folks. The earbuds get pulled out easily, especially if turning my head far to once side or stretching. They will not reach my back pocket.

    Terrible design flaw

Written by BS from barry's bay

    Nov 5, 2009

The new headphones are a great innovation especially for working out, but get the tiniest bit of moisture near the remote and it breaks. Terrible design flaw that needs to be fixed immediately. Mine lasted 3 medium intensity workouts before I had to get them replaced.

not as good as the original earbuds that came with my iPod in 2005

Written by JL from East Lansing

    Nov 5, 2009

The cord is made out of a different material or something and it bounces around when I workout on the elliptical in a way that my old cord that came with my iPod in 2005 never did. Due to the way the cord is connected to the earphones, it rubs on my face as well. It's very irritating when I'm trying to workout and the cord is rubbing on my cheeks and bouncing around on the machine.
