    Earbuds always blow out.

    Written by HW from Venice

    Oct 26, 2009

Every single pair of these I have had (about 6) have always had one of the
buds blow out after just a few months. Come on APPLE !!! - spend some more
time on quality of your earbud headphones!

    Bad ear buds

Written by PH from Pleasant Grove

    Oct 25, 2009

If these are the same as the original ebs that come with the I phone, they are very shotty. When I first got the iPhone the headphones didn't work at all. After about two or three weeks I thought I'd broken them b/c they made a cracking noise but that's when they actually started working. Now they only work for the iPod. When I get a call no one can hear me when I answer with the ebs. I can no longer adjust volume with them either. Like the last reviewer, they haven't lasted a good three months. Could be much better.

    Very convenient, well made

    Written by JE from Brooklyn

    Oct 24, 2009

I have had these for months and there haven't been any problems with the quality of the buttons/headphones. They are very convenient for use with the ipod Touch; there is no easy way to adjust volume or pause/play if you're on the go with it.

    Not a good product

    Written by TJ from Chicago

    Oct 24, 2009

These earphones are not good as far as the fit. Initially I thought it was my ears, but I gave them away to someone else and they are having the very same problem. They continuously fall out of the ears even if you are sitting still. With all the technology that apple has, I am sure they can come up with better earphones for their Ipods. The microphone and remote work perfectly, but the fit is awful!!!

    good product, lousy earphones

    Written by AM from Raleigh

    Oct 24, 2009

I like the way it can handle your playlists, but those earphones are awful. They wont stay in my ears. I prefer in the in-ear type and I see you do have it in the accessories, but that price (79.00) is way too high. I hate the way I am so limted as to how to listen to my tunes because of these earphones. The remote should have been a little lower in placement too.

    garbage

    Written by DD from Genoa

    Oct 24, 2009

If you do any kind of working out with these, they will fail... I'm guessing the sweat damages the remote. I've been through 2 pairs now and each one didnt make it through a single workout. Absolute garbage

Poorly designed headset for iPod shuffle

    Written by TY from Sanger

    Oct 24, 2009

The headset that came with my iPod shuffle has the most poorly designed earpieces I've ever seen. Whoever Apple hired to design those should be made to wear them. Although I was truly impressed with the desigh of the iPod itself (small, practically weightless, cllips conveniently to your clothing), the only way I'll be able to enjoy music-on-the-go is to now invest in a more expensive headset that should have come with the iPod shuffle in the first place. iPod shuffle - state-of-the-art. Headset - Soooo caveman

    Do not sweat!

    Written by MY from FPO

    Oct 23, 2009

Love my new 3G shuffle but have replaced these weak headphones three times. Obviously the shuffle is for exercise and most of us sweat. Apple should waterproof the remote. The next set I get I'm going to do just that. Maybe they'll last longer than two weeks.

    Drop out ear plug

Written by JR from SOUTH GRAFTON

    Oct 22, 2009

One thing I cannot stand about my ipod head phone is that it constantly falls out of my ear. I do not wear them hardly at all because I have to keep reinserting the plug into my ear. If I don't, they fall out. I have another set of plugs with a better fit and I have little problem with that set. Apple should do something to make sure their head phone earplugs fit more securely.

They work great for about 3 months

    Written by KL from Austin

    Oct 21, 2009

I love the functionality of these headphones, but they don't last at all. I use my headphones all the time to listen to itunes and talk on the phone. I love that you can mute or end a call by clicking the button. However, after a few months one earphone always stops working. I do not abuse the headphones, just use them a lot and keep them in my purse sometimes, but they are just not durable. I am getting very tired of shelling out $30 every few months for a new pair. Please Apple...make these more durable!!

    Good sound,faulty earphones

    Written by EP from Hanover

    Oct 20, 2009

I bought an iTouch about 5 months ago and have already been through 2 sets of earphones from Apple. The second pair I bought had the mic on it and the sound was great. I don't do any heavy working out with this iTouch since I have a shuffle for that. I use this one to go to and from work with and occasionally I'll bring it when I walk. I used the iTouch this morning with no issue at all with the earphones. Everything sounded clear and great. this afternoon when I got in from work I took it with me to walk the dog and there was no sound at all coming from the right earphone! I never droppped it in water or any liquid for that matter. It just stopped working for no reason! Ugh! Love the sound when they work but clearly Apple needs to find a more durable design.

6 pairs all have a blown left speaker?

    Written by RH from Ronkonkoma

    Oct 20, 2009

I got a pair of these each with my shuffle and my Iphone 3GS, I like the way they fit, I like the way they sound, I like the inline controls near my head. I use them at the gym, on my bike and all day at work. Ive never had a wire break or anything mechanically go wrong with them, but I've replaced both pairs three times each. Every time it's because the left speaker has blown. I generally use the right ear while im at work so people can still ask me questions and i can hear whats going on around and i tuck the left speaker into my shirt.
All pairs were replaced at no charge through the apple store, however its still a real pain having to drive there once a month.

Love the concept but didnt pull through

    Written by MH from Martinez

    Oct 19, 2009

When i heard about these headphones i had to have them i got them a week after they came out and the day i got them i had put them
in my EMPTY pocket and they had a slit in the wire which made that side get fuzzy and then about 9 monthes later the side withremote got fuzzy and the other side was fine after a
few weeks. im probably gonna get a new pair but they need to make them more resistant like water and when u bounce around or the wind blows they get fuzzy! Please fix this Apple!

    Dissapointed

Written by MP from Wappingers Falls

    Oct 17, 2009

I bought the 3rd gen ipod shuffle with these headphones included. Not even a week went by and the right headphone just crumbled. Apple should know that people are going to bring these devices on a jog, to work, anywhere. And i didn't even really jog just went a few yards to my car. These headphones are just too fragile. Need a more durable design guys.

    Broke

    Written by GP from Pittsburgh

    Oct 17, 2009

I've gone through so many for these, only to have them break. Sound gets tinny, button stops working, one headphone goes out. I think this is my third. Great if it works, bad when it eventually doesn't.

    Too fragile

    Written by LK from Madrid

    Oct 17, 2009

Very useful, but must have used it 3 times for a running and the remote must have shorted. It constantly sends a signal to my iPhone that the button is pressed and it keeps activating voice control on the phone always interrupting music play!

Good concept but useless in the real world.

Solution, Broke the remote casing and ripped the microchip off... They are not fully functional normal headphones.

    remote needs to be redesigned

    Written by CW from Palmdale

I went on one run with my new shuffle headphones and the remote no longer works, the same thing happened to my iphone headphones, more than once. Its a huge headache. There should be at least some water resistance.
