Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic
Piece of Garbage
Written by ES from MIAMI
Nov 6, 2009
I've had the 3Gs for two months now and for the past two weeks one ear phone doesn't work, and people say they hear me like if Im far away. These things break very easily without even doing anything to it.

Flimsy freebie
Written by RD from Atlanta

The playback is ok, and the earbuds don't bother me. The mic funciton is great for operating the phone, especially at the gym.
The remote is frustrating. In theory: squeeze once to pause, twice to advance on song. In practice: does not work. Squeezes are not read consistently, so that I will pause instead of advance or nothing will happen at all.
Cord is also sort for tall folks. The earbuds get pulled out easily, especially if turning my head far to once side or stretching. They will not reach my back pocket.4 of 8 people found this useful

Terrible design flaw
Written by BS from barry's bay

The new headphones are a great innovation especially for working out, but get the tiniest bit of moisture near the remote and it breaks. Terrible design flaw that needs to be fixed immediately. Mine lasted 3 medium intensity workouts before I had to get them replaced.

not as good as the original earbuds that came with my iPod in 2005
Written by JL from East Lansing

The cord is made out of a different material or something and it bounces around when I workout on the elliptical in a way that my old cord that came with my iPod in 2005 never did. Due to the way the cord is connected to the earphones, it rubs on my face as well. It's very irritating when I'm trying to workout and the cord is rubbing on my cheeks and bouncing around on the machine.

Product does not work with the iPod nano
Written by SM from Washington
Nov 4, 2009
After about an hour of use, the clicker controls stopped working with my iPod nano 4th generation – pause/play was spotty and erratic, and the volume controls didn't work. Worse still, when the earphones were plugged in, music would randomly stop and start. The product was horrible.
I sent the earphones back to amazon and got a replacement pair. Same problems.
I assumed I had a lemon iPod 4th gen.
Now, I just got a new iPod nano 5th gen, and after about 30 seconds of using the Earphones with Remote and Mic, the volume rocker stopped working.2 of 2 people found this useful

Horrible Crackling Sound!
Written by VP from Woodford Green

Fine for about 2/3 weeks then suddenly the left earphone's sound kind of 'exploded' and has been crackling ever since. Totally not worth the money, a rip-off for such a poor product. Save your money!
