If it is broke, RETURN IT!

    • Written by from The Woodlands

For those with the 1 star review, did any of you brainiacs think of returning it for a replacement? I had the colored lines interference, and this may be a surprise to some, but I packed it up and went to the store to exchange it for another one. The "Genius" tested out the broken unit to verify that it was the cause, and then brought out a new one and verified that it worked properly in store. Yet another great example of good customer service from Apple.

    works for me

    • Written by from Den Haag

I just got this adapter delivered a few hours ago and its working fine so far. I'm using it with a 30" apple cinema display and a month-old macbook.

I was worried about whether it would work ok after the negative reviews here and elsewhere, but it seems to be just fine for me - I can not tell the difference between connecting up to my previous-model macbook pro (which has a dual DVI port built in) and my new macbook.

Of course the price is still rather outrageous, hence no 5 stars.

    Great connector

I like this so I can connect my mac book pro to the 30 in screen. It is nice because it keeps most of the cords out of the way. I recommend this to anyone who wants to hook their 30-inch to their macbook or macbook pro.

Seems to work well with the Mac Book Air and Apple 30 In display

    • Written by from Los Alamos

I have been using this for the last several weeks and have not had any difficulty with the quality or the connection using a new Mac Book Air. I do not experience any flickering with extended use.

The only gripe that I have is that each time I connect it up again it asks me to verify my keyboard (Microsoft Natural 4000).

I use this side by side with my Mac Pro desktop and I honestly can not tell any difference in color quality or performance.

    Works great for me!

I have the Apple 30" HD Display hooked up to my unibody Macbook Pro. It works perfectly. The only issues I ever have is once ever few hours the screen will flicker, but it lasts a millisecond so it's easy to ignore! This product has been fantastic!

    Works as promised

    • Written by from Mountain View

I admit it, I was worried. I waited a long time to buy an Air that would drive my 30" Cinema Display. I bought my new 'puter knowing that Apple was promising to deliver an adapter. So I was a despondent when I saw the price and read all the negative reviews. However, I'm very, very happy to say- it worked perfectly the first time. No weird artifacts, scan lines, etc. It was a bit expensive, but I'm a happy camper. Thanks Apple!

Works fine with Apple 30' Screen

    • Written by from SCOTTSDALE

I read the reviews and almost bought the new 24 inch screen made especially for the new MBP but after plugging it in it works just fine. I don't like the fact that I had to spend another $99.00 after buying the new MBP but it was better than spending $899. Color is correct, there is no stripping, banding or sleep problems. Connects easily and works as advertised.

    so far so good

Using this to connect to my Apple 30" from the latest model MacBook. No issues so far. In the mix is a hub w/ 2 hard drive enclosures.

Cable is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE considering what it is.

Works with new MacBook Pro (Sort of)

    • Written by from San Diego

I just got this today and hooked it up to my Dell 30" 3007WFP-HC monitor. When my MacBook Pro (2.4GHz 2GB RAM) is in better battery life mode it has a terribly flicker issue, but when in higher performance mode it works fine with a flicker maybe once every 30 minutes that I almost never notice. I figure the lower end graphics card accounts for the issue (it might not have the ability to drive at full resolution).

The adapter's USB port is hooked up to the one further away from the mini display port. I have only powered USB hubs plugged into the adapter.

So far I'm happy with this adapter and I do recommend it for MacBook Pro users.

    This adapter works great!

    • Written by from IRVINE

I have an 30" Apple Cinema Display and this adapter works great for my Macbook Pro. It does provide a pass-through USB plug to activate the USB hub built into the ACD. Very happy to use my MBP at full resolution finally.
