Yeah 30$ might be steep, but your getting the power adapter and, and the USB cable. The cable alone is 20$ so your really only paying 10$ I cant complain I've had my iPhone for a year and a half now, and I am just now having to replace anything on it. Apple is a very reliable company, and you most definitely get your money's worth, but if you cant afford it just call the apple support line and they will replace it just like any warranty claim. You will have to return the broken device.

Apple does it again!
This charger is compact, durable and most importantly wont fry your i-pod or i-phone.
It comes with a small usb cord (about 3 ft long) and the adaptor is so small you don't need any folding prongs.
Beware of other brands of chargers.
They are famous for only working part of the time and/or frying your i-pod/i-phone.

I have this adapter with the dock (MB484G/A) and find that I use it every day. I set my iPhone upright in the dock each night beside the bed to charge overnight while using the Night Stand application for my alarm clock. Yes, it would be nice to have a longer cord, but if I need more length I think I could use an extension cord. Not a bad fix till a longer cord is available. I even bought a second adapter and dock to keep in my travel bag. This combination is so small, easy to pack and convenient that it just makes good sense for me.

You did leave out a few vintage models that are quite happy having this charger refilling their batteries! What's missing? The iPod Mini 1G and 2 G, the iPod 4th generation, and the iPod Photo. Shame on you leaving those out. :-P

Regardless, it is a nice SMALL charger. Awfully tiny, but I have 3 so far, and all were load-tested at 1 amp or better output.

It would be awfully hard to find a smaller charger!!

(And *gasp* my non-Apple devices love it too!)

This is one of the fastest and easiest chargers I have ever used for my iphone/itouch! No batteries are required, just your usb cable! Definately the best one yet!

I think this charger is great. It's the smallest USB charger I've seen and has an advantage over most other chargers and computers: it supplies 1 amp of current as opposed to 500 mA that's standard with USB. This allows it to charge my iPhone much faster than any other charger, in about half the time. I would have to say that aside from the short cord, this is a great USB charger that works for all USB devices, not just iPods and iPhones.

This is the product to buy for anyone with an ipod. To be able to charge your pod anywhere without a computer is not only convenient, but also a necessity for those of us who frequently use our ipod.

This charging adapter may be a little expensive, but it comes with an apple usb dock cable, so when u think about it, you are really paying $10 for the adapter it's self. All in all, it works great! Buy it!

This product is great! I used to have another charger, and the thing was way to big for me. This one is really small and easy to take with you! It charges faster than my other one also. I would recommend any one who wants an iPod/iPhone charger GET THIS ONE!!!

This was included with my iPhone 3GS, but this power adapter is so great, I had to write a review for it.
Trust me, for those of you people that want this, get it. It charges my iphone 3GS fast, it's compact, durable, and the best. I don't know where I would be without this. It takes like 1-3 hours to charge my iPhone where it would take longer to charge my iPhone on my laptop.

This unit does one thing, does it without complaint and is well priced. As a bonus it covers no more space on the outlet that a regular plug, unlike huge wall wart transformers.
