Essentially, if you use this widget to play your itunes movies / hulu / youtube / DVDs on a regular TV, you'll be blown away by the quality. Further, the crummy AVI movies our digital camera takes look awesome on the TV!
It's much more pleasant to watch programming on our TV while sitting on the couch than watch on the smallish laptop screen.
I was a bit hesitant to try this because the last video card with composite out I had lacked in quality. IT's totally not the case with my macbook's DVI out.11 of 12 people found this useful

This is a very handy product perfectly designed that allows you to do things much easier than before. Mine has been stepped on, and taken a bit of a beating and still works perfectly so it is durable too. You will love having this device and for only $20, why not?

My wife and I purchased this adapter about two months ago so we could watch movies that we had on iTunes on out TV, and it has worked perfectly. Very good quality of video using an S-video cable. Also works out great to rent movies over iTunes. With the Apple remote, I can sit on the couch and watch movies or TV shows through my Macbook on the tv without getting up. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Bootcamp

Works almost flawlessly under OSX 10.5. Did not recognise the PAL 50 Hrtz setting we have here rather then the NTSC 60 Hrtz. Was easily corrected. However, does not seem to work with Vista on Bootcamp. I got a flashing screen on the iMac and nothing on the tube. The flashing screen only could be stopped by a reboot. Would have liked to use windows media centre as windows is compatible with so much more TV-cards. As said, did not work.

I recently tried to hook up my MacBook Air to my t.v. with the standard headphone jack to three '2 audio' one yellow video cord. Well, that did not work. I also realized that there was an s video plug on my tv. this product works great!! I get a clar view of my desktop right on my tv!! cheap too. just need a twin ended video or s video cord to go from adapter to tv
