A wonderful mouse - don't believe all of the reviews!

    • Written by from San Bernardino

I have owned this mouse for 3 years and I am just now experiencing what several of the reviewers said happened to them after a few months-the mouse roller stopped rolling up and down. I absolutely love this mouse. I hate track pads and love all of the features - especially the 360 degree scrolling. I came to the site to buy another one. I read the reviews and learned I could clean the roller ball! I used a tissue and rubbing alcohol - it fixed the problem. Thanks to the reviewer that shared this information. Sorry Apple! I don't need to order another Mighty Mouse!

    Great mouse compared to others

    • Written by from Fords

I bought the wireless mighty mouse for my macbook pro, and i recently wanted to make my macbook pro into a desktop just when i'm in my room. so i bought a wired mighty mouse and an apple keyboard. the mighty mouse is great, i love the design, and the structre and overall look of it. it looks so sleek than other mouses, and looks so simple but so intuitive. the buttons feel great to click and i just love it. the scroll ball could be improved and looks like it might wear off when used a lot, like the other reviews said. i've had my wireless mighty mouse for awhile and the scroll ball is still working fine, and i've had it since november of 2007. and i expect the wired mouse to work just as fine. the only thing is that they should make the wire a little longer, it's not a problem for me because i plug it in to my keyboard, but for some people who need a little more distance, this might be too short. but overall a great mouse.

I bought this mouse about 2 years ago and love it to death. Whenever I work on another mac I realize how useful this little guy really is. One minor downfall the scroll wheel after using this thing for two years has now given out on me. I'm off to buy another...

I've used this mouse before and I loved it! I really like the right-click option so you don't have to control-click everything. What's also really cool is that the scroll wheel has always worked for me and it has never frozen, no matter how dirty it's gotten! It's smooth and fast and doesn't jerk you around like those Microsoft mice do.

the mighty mouse is by far the best mouse on the market.

all of you people complaining about the scroll not working because it gets so dirty should seriously consider washing your hands before you use your computer. dont blame apple for the copious ammounts of grease from your local take aways clogging up your mouse

    thank you

    like it alot

I bought a logitech mouse YEARS ago and love it. It's seen better days though, and I've been in the market for a new mouse. I've read the might mouse reviews on here and it's gotten it's fair share of negative remarks.

Our local best buy has a 'apple store' in it, and I just decided to impulse buy the mighty mouse.

It's been about 3 weeks, and so far, I've had no problems with it.

    Very good product.

I use this product with all of my Apple Computers (PowerMac G5, PowerMac G4, PowerBook 1.67Ghz 17", Intel iMac Core 2 Duo) & All my Windows Boxes (Dell Dimension 8400, XP Custom Built, & a Vista homebuilt) it works fantastic. I recommend this to ANYONE who wants a reliable mouse for any Mac or PC. Also, with my PowerMac G5 I use the Wireless one which is awesome as well. Again, this is for ANYONE who wants a reliable mouse for any Mac or PC.

As long as you keep your scrolling finger free of "debris," you will have years of trouble free use from this wonderful product.

Treat it carefully, and it'll be your favorite mouse.

This is the most innovative mouse that I've ever used. It's very responsive, and in my experience it has also been quite durable. For the people who have complained of the scroll ball not working, I haven't had any similar experiences. I've used it for over a year and it still works flawlessly. I would guess that those who have experienced problems have simply been a little rough on it. I don't need to tell about all of the amazing uses, but I'll affirm all of Apple's claims regarding the mouse's useful features. The ability to reassign what each of the buttons does is also really cool. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

    Destroying Misconceptions

    • Written by from El Monte

I'm hearing about a lot of scrolling problems with all of your mice. Maybe you've been treating it a little too roughly– admit it, for those who've harshly pressed the buttons and scroll to get them to work, or accidentally dropped your mouse off the desk. I've done those things, and my mouse is still working fine. Yes, I've had scrolling problems like many people here are describing, but after days of frustration, I did this: according to a WikiHow article, I turned the mouse upside down and gently rubbed it all over a handkerchief, the delicate kind used for glasses. Literally right there, I scrolled it and it absolutely worked. Possibly you've tried all of these things without success, and maybe your mouse is truly faulty. After buying my mouse from the thrift store (wonder why someone donated a 50 dollar mouse- it didn't look brand new either), I've had it for more than 4-6 months and it works fantastic. I especially love how the scroll allows you to go sideways, since I've always grudgingly scrolled my mouse to the bottom scroll bar of a window while using a normal mouse. The side buttons work fine, too.

P.S. For those you get dead skin cells and all of the gross dust in the side buttons, simply get in there with one of those sample mascara testers you get at Sephora, and all of it goes bye-bye.

I HIGHLY recommend this for GAMERS, but the magic mouse kinda doesn't fit me that much because it will scroll sometimes when I am just clicking the magic mouse.

So I purchased this mouse because I have two PowerPc G3 imacs (one slot one tray). My problem was I needed a mouse for my slot loading model because my tray loading was using my puck mouse. I went to best buy and picked it up for $49 and six months later still works. Great product. Good value.

Like all the multitude of functions in this small product, as well as the look/feel.

Had been working just fine for a couple of months until recently when the infamous scrolling ball got stuck. Thanks for the tip on how to clean it. The upside down rolling motion on printer paper did the job.

3 years daily usage; never a problem

    • Written by from oklahoma City

I'm writing this review primarily because I wanted to offer a different perspective from some of the other reviews I see here.

I've been using the cordless version of this mouse for 3 years, ever since I purchased my iMac. I use it for several hours a day, doing a lot of work that requires me to move things around the screen. It hasn't caused a single problem. I must have the world's cleanest hands because the roller ball hasn't even clogged up.

I don't know if I'm lucky or what. But my ONLY complaint about this mouse is that it won't wear out, so I never have an excuse to try some of the new ones.
