3 years daily usage; never a problem

    • Written by from oklahoma City

I'm writing this review primarily because I wanted to offer a different perspective from some of the other reviews I see here.

I've been using the cordless version of this mouse for 3 years, ever since I purchased my iMac. I use it for several hours a day, doing a lot of work that requires me to move things around the screen. It hasn't caused a single problem. I must have the world's cleanest hands because the roller ball hasn't even clogged up.

I don't know if I'm lucky or what. But my ONLY complaint about this mouse is that it won't wear out, so I never have an excuse to try some of the new ones.

    Great Mouse

    • Written by from State College

A lot of people say the scroll ball doesn't work, but I found it worked very well. I've had it for years and it hasn't failed. Wonderful design! It has a nice shape that is extremely comfortable in my hand. Great mouse; I definitely reccommend it.

Smooth tracking and scrolling. Great functionality.

    • Written by from Fairfax Station

This mouse was given to me as a gift. I received it used, and it was experiencing the same scrolling problems everyone writes about in the reviews. There is a simple fix for this: Take a clean white piece of paper on a hard surface, turn the mouse upside down so its resting on the ball, and move the mouse around quickly in every direction. Try going fast and slow. The dirt that has accumulated on the ball will rub off on the paper and the mouse will work good as new.

After the ball was clean, I fell in love with the mouse. Scrolling felt so effortless with the 360 degree ball. The tracking in impeccable even without a mouse pad. It's also fantastic having 4 buttons so that you can program expose and spaces for easy access.

Do not be fooled by people rating one star. Just like any product, this mouse will need to be cleaned after prolonged use. Cleaning it is fast and simple and restores the initial ease of scrolling.

I have used this mouse for 1 year and and I have not had any problems with it. I never eat at my desk/computer area though. I use a cleaning wipe about once a month to clean it. Its great and looks really nice.

    Great Mouse!

    • Written by from Roann

I've read a lot of bad reviews, so I thought I'd put in my two cents. I've been using this mouse with my Mac Mini 1.66 Core Duo purchased back in 2006. I have never had any issues with this mouse. It's gone through several studio albums using logic pro, lots of final cut hd videos, and never once had a problem with the scroll ball. I love this mouse and will probably buy another one, when the time comes.

    Best mouse ive ever used

    • Written by from WHITTIER

i got this mouse 2 years ago. I have to say, it is the best mouse ive ever used, aside from the magic mouse. i plan on getting a magic mouse for my macbook pro, i just havent been around to it. anyways, the mighty mouse is fantastic, the ball you scroll with is perfect, i havent had any problems with it. It has a solid click, right clicking is super easy, the buttons on the side are awesome. i have those set to my spaces. its so easy. the tracking is perfect, ive never had a problem with it. And i dont understand why people keep on complaining about the ball. if you wash your hands, the ball will never get sicky and dirty. it will be fine. and i clean my mouse all the time. its the best mouse ever. Get one, and wash your hands. you will never have problems.

    Great Use

    • Written by from Pleasanton

I have had the wireless version of this mouse for 2 years, using it at least four hours a day. The scroll ball has never ONCE clogged up for me. I have never had to clean it, and it still works perfectly. The side buttons are extremely useful and save me a lot of time. Everything about the mouse is extremely easy to use. 'No problems after 2 years of regular use of this mouse so I see no problems with it.

    Oily Bricks for Paws

    • Written by from Saint Paul

I 've seen some bad reviews on this Mouse. I have been satisfied with mine. it was a little tricky getting used to now i love it. Some people must have poor touch or really oily fingers. or are eating too much around the Mouse. Both of the mice that i have work just as they are supposed to. Love the little scroll ball for Surfing. just have to get used to it. Some of us don't like to change. I call those folks Stuck in the 20th Century.

    Apple Mouse

    • Written by from CHICAGO

My experience with the Apple Mouse has been a pleasure although. I haven't mastered all its features.

I bought my computer in 2006 and on April 3, 2010 my nephew broke the mouse. I am reordering a replacement today

    I love this mouse

    • Written by from Bluffton

So far, I really do love the mouse although I did debate a lot about getting it after all the negative reviews I read on here. The mouse is beautifully designed and beautifully made. It has worked very well for me. I have the Magic Mouse for my MacBook Pro and use that most of the time. I got the wired mouse to use with the Windows partition on the MacBook since I couldn't get the Magic Mouse to work with that. I do prefer the Magic Mouse but am very happy with the wired mouse. The scroll button works very well although I don't do a great amount of scrolling. It fits my hand well. For the button to get really dirty, as so many people complain here, and for a lot of black gunk to be in it, seems really strange to me. Do all those people live in really dirty houses or do they ever wash their hands? Things, including mice, do need to be cleaned and Apple described in the booklet accompanying the mouse how to clean the mouse and the scroll ball.

I have loved this mouse for years

    • Written by from THE VILLAGES

I have had this mouse for two years. I have had only one problem with dirt that was easily fixed. Other than that it is so easy to use and much more reliable and comfortable than the Magic Mouse. It also has more functions.

Stop complaining about the roller ball and fix it!

    • Written by from Rochester

Love the mouse. Fortunately I read the "cure" for the "non functioning" roller ball. IT WORKS. Now my mouse it perfect again. So before you trash it, read the entries about fixing it – so simple it's ridiculous I couldn't have thought of it.
Definitely NOT a reason to not buy the mouse.

    Scroll wheel fix...

Don't surf the interweb while eating fried chicken. The scroll ball gets gooey and needs to be cleaned, (I use Windex on a napkin). Hygiene people.

    Exactly What it says

    • Written by from Savage

This is a great product and does exactly what it says it does, it has a lift and right click you just need to go into settings to change it from a single click to a double click, so people think it is only a single click, also it is very durable, unless you have a defected product or you just don't take care of it

Flawless, dont listen to poor reviews

    • Written by from boynton beach

I had to write this review in response to some of the poor reviews I have seen. I have owned this mouse since the first year of production. I have never had a problem with stray clicks, the mouse always works properly. As long as you understand how the mouse works, there is a tutorial, it is simple and easy. I like it far better than a single button mouse or even a multi button mouse. As far as the trackball getting dirty, which only shows up as an issue every several months, just push down on the trackball and roll it. It cleans the sensor and works fine, this process only takes several seconds.

Very good mouse, Wireless version better, Magic Mouse best.

    • Written by from DF

This mouse is very good, I had it for about 4 months, then it was replaced with it's wireless version. A couple of weeks ago I got the new Magic Mouse and it is definitely the best option, although it is quite expensive ($69)
