    Sleek, stylish... professional

    • Written by from UPPER COOMERA

This is an amazing keyboard. The design is excellent as you would expect from any Apple product. The two USB 2.0 peripherals are very useful for plugging in USB thumb drives and headphones without having to reach behind my iMac. The short travel keys are excellent and have a good, crisp feel. My keyboard does not have the launchpad icon on F4 but using keyboard preferences, I have made F5 open launchpad. I then printed out a launchpad icon and stuck it on F5.

The full size numeric keypad is excellent and works amazingly well with Calculator.app, "/" pressing the divide button, "clear" pressing the C button etc. One problem is that the numeric keypad does not work with Bootcamp. probably because I haven't pressed Number Lock but I don't know which button is the equivalent of that on this keyboard.

As always… backlit keys would have been amazing especially since you don't have the limit of battery life on a wired keyboard.

    Great keyboard!

This keyboard is amazing...every key you need is here...unlike on the wireless keyboard. Also, this wired keyboard has larger arrow keys, a number pad, and NEVER runs out of power ( no batteries! ).

    Love this keyboard

    • Written by from Manhattan Beach

I'm loving this keyboard much more than the wireless one, which I also own. I especially like the additional navigation keys and numeric key pad which is a great advantage if you type numbers frequently, like I do. I also find the two USB ports on the keyboard extremely useful. It allows me to attached my portable scanner and other items right on the keyboard. Highly recommend.

Why didn't I buy this before?

    • Written by from Proton Station

In early 2010 I bought a new iMac to replace my old G5. I had bought the G5 with the extended keyboard. The iMac came with the smaller, wireless keyboard. I really missed the numeric keypad, especially with spreadsheets.

Two things happened recently. I had wireless problems (solved, but requiring the temporary use of a wired keyboard and mouse) and I bought an iPad. I figured that if I bought a wired keyboard, the wireless one could be used with the iPad and the wired one could stay with the iMac (and I would still have the wireless one if preferred). Plus, I would have a wired keyboard (and I also bought the Apple wired Mouse) as a backup in case of future wireless problems.

Well, I was very pleased to find that not only could I buy a reasonably priced wired Apple keyboard, but it had the numeric keypad, too! Perfect. Should have bought it months ago.

    The best keyboard I've used

    • Written by from Hormigueros

It may look simple but it works. I love this keyboard. The keys respond super fast and at the lightest touch, making it easy to type fast. It's sleek, compact and looks great. It also has two usb connectors on the sides and for some people this may be convenient. This is truly the best thing that has happened to me in hardware since my 2009 MacBook Pro

    Best there is

    • Written by from Eugene

This keyboard is by far the best I've seen for any system. I wish there was a ergonomic version so I could raise the front slightly higher than the back though. I don't know that hasn't been visualized by the experts yet.

    Sorely Missed

A wonderful product. I was a little put off by it when I first received it, since I had the old white plastic Apple keyboard previously, and it was much higher, but it is lovely and stays cleaner much better than the old one.
However, it does not stand up to having a glass of milk poured on it by a toddler, so I am typing this review from a horrible cheap keyboard while I wait for my new Apple keyboard.

    So Quiet and Elegant

    • Written by from Cranston

When I spilled coffee on my original Apple wireless keyword I suffered for a few days with a generic keyboard someone had passed on to me. It was so noisy and clunky. It is with pleasure I write this review on my new quiet and elegant Apple keyboard.

One suggestion- I hope Apple brings back a wireless with a numeric keypad.

Wired Keyboard, numeric keypad, 2 USB ports

    • Written by from Denver

I have a wire, but along with that comes two (2) extra USB Ports up close and easy to use. Also, a numeric keypad to make my life much easier when entering numbers. No batteries to change and recharge. That's good for me. As well as no bluetooth dropping problems I had with the wireless one.

The keys in the seamless housing are so smooth to type. What an improvement over the older plastic models! So much easier to keep clean. This was a great choice.

    Best keyboard ever

    • Written by from Needville

I have never owned a Mac but after typing on one at my school's resource center, the keyboard sold me! I have always been a keyboard person and this keyboard is magnificent. It is even better than my old IBM click keyboard and I didn't think that was possible.

By the way, I am loving my new iMac with this keyboard. Looking forward to a wireless version.

    wireless keyboards,routers......

    • Written by from boston

I have found that Airport Express is very un- reliable.Within a few months,it has stopped working many times.Sometimes it would stop working, then several hours later ,without trying to solve the problem it would resume working.I have contacted Apple Care a # of times. They got it working, but after a while I would have the problem again.
So, I would advise anyone that wants a wireless keyboard etc. to consider it carefully.

    Great Keyboard but....

    • Written by from Fareham

This is a fantastic keyboard, most comfortable i've ever used. I have 3 of them. But.. please produce a wireless version! The smaller wireless one is fine for casual typing, but not so great for when using Pro apps or for number crunching.

Make a Wireless one and you'll have more of my money!

    Evolution

    • Written by from Brooklyn

This is absolutely the most impressive typing tool I've ever used. The effort required to depress a key is cut by more than half, allowing the user to double their typing speed. As odd as it sounds, I feel honored to have unlimited access to this keyboard. The price isn't bad either! Get some compressed air if you're going to buy this.

    A Suggestion for Apple

    • Written by from Noblesville

The keys are very responsive and I prefer it over my old and huge Microsoft keyboard I used with my MacBook. It is slim and even though it is wired is portable to fit in a backpack. The only suggestion I have to Apple is to completely eliminate the USB cable like they have done with the smaller one. That way I can free up an extra USB slot on my MacBook (there are only two). If you plan on doing mostly desk work, this is the keyboard for you. Not only will it save you $20.00, but it also has the numeric pad. Do not hesitate buying a wired keyboard in anticipation for this one to be updated as BlueTooth because Apple wants to sell the smaller one at the same time. I know this is the simple accessory everyone quietly hopes for!!!

    Wireless 10 key keyboard please

    • Written by from Saint Augustine

I have the wireless keyboard with my iMac quad core i5, but needed the 10 key functions, so I pennied up and purchased the wired 10 key keyboard. It feels great and is super quiet. It looks awesome with the iMac [if you don't look at the wire :-) ]
OKAY APPLE, make a wireless 10 keyboard so I can be one of the millions with a wireless keyboard without 10 key, a wired 10 key keyboard, and (hopefully) a wireless 10 key keyboard. How cool would all three keyboards next to each other on my desk? If you build it, they will buy it.
