Bought this keyboard the other day when I couldn't find any Logitech/other keyboards that met my fancy. I wasn't sure if it worked with windows but it certainly does! For you Closet Mac lovers who still need to use Windows OS, you can have can still have a little part of mac! Amazing keyboard. Feels like each of my fingers is sitting on little clouds.

Love this keyboard

Love the feel of it... the touch, the look, the shallow depth. Vert comfortable... writsts can rest on desktop with just having to slightly lift hands to use. And the price was right. I would have opted for the wireless version but I wanted the numeric keypad.

Totally great keyboard.... but...

This keyboard is truly great if you're a typist, but there is one thing I don't like about this keyboard. You can't dis-assemble it. It's glued together.

I've enjoyed my Apple aluminum keyboard for six months now, but today one of the keys had stopped functioning and I hadn't spilled anything on it. My best advice to anyone interested to buy this keyboard is - SAVE YOUR RECEIPT! Keys shouldn't stop working after only six months. I hope this piece of aluminum might still be under warranty.

Totally new typing experience

I bought one today to use on my MacBook Pro. Actually I'm used to Dell and Logitech Keyboards and the one from the MacBook of course.

Using the Apple Keyboard is an interesting new feeling while typing. It's like sliding over the keyboard, which is a little confusing first, but gets cooler every minute. And I've got to say, that I'm typing noticeable faster with the new Keyboard.

Mac slow to adopt numeric key pad

As a relatively new Mac user I'm shocked to discover that a wireless extended keyboard having a numeric key pad is not available. I'm a scientist that crunches numbers. If Mac wants to be considered seriously by serious users, they had better design keyboards for serious users. It's no surprise that Mac is considered a toy by most of the number crunching set. Maybe Mac wants it that way. If you are new to Mac - BEWARE; the 'delete' key is a really a 'backspace' key. Very strange indeed.

I have this keyboard at my house. Even though I use a Macbook instead of an iMac I still switch keyboards when at home. The only reason I'm giving this review 4/5 stars is because I think that Apple should incorporate the backlight technology into these keyboards! I would definitely buy another

I'm a full-time student and writer. As such, I often get caught in the electronics stores "typing" on their keyboard displays, as I have not found one that I really liked in years. Until I got my MacBook. I really liked the internal keyboard on it, and when I decided to set up a "docking station" for it with a larger monitor, I went out and bought one of these.

My only complaint is that you can't change the tilt of the keyboard - there are no "legs", so unless it's at your ideal angle already, you're just going to have to live with it - or put some of those self-adhesive rubber dots on the back to raise it a bit. That being said, this keyboard is ideal. I did notice that, since the USB ports aren't powered, you really do need this plugged directly into your Mac, not into a hub, if you want to use the USB ports for anything (very handy for flash drives).

I love my macs. I even like the keyboard on my iBook G4, but I really love this keyboard!! The mighty mouse, in my opinion, is a piece of junk, but the Apple Keyboard hit a bulls eye! If Apple ever decides to change this design, I might end up buying several of these as spares.

I thought Apple had gone crazy when they introduced this keyboard. "A chiclet keyboard in this day and age!" I exclaimed. I fully expected to hate it.

However, I can type faster on this keyboard than on any other, and it has an excellent feel. It is also small and looks great. If only this one came in wireless...

I have been working with computers for over 27 years and this is, without a doubt, the best keyboard I've ever used.

hate it hate it!!! very pretty but i can't feel where the keys are.
hate it. stupid. it is supposed to be an input device, not an object d'art
we should at least have a choice. 6,000 worth of workstation and a keyboard i can't type on without making mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!! BAH BAH

I've been an executive assistant for 20 years... let me tell you... I have tried them all! The straight, the curved, the ergonomically sound, flat keys, raised keys... you name it, I've tried it. This keyboard is by far the smoothest and slickest that I've ever used. After getting one at home and using it for a week, I insisted on getting one for work as well. I wouldn't use anything else. The number pad is a very nice touch, as well. If you type for a living... look no further. This is the keyboard for you, whether you're an Apple freak (like me) or not. ;)

I just built a new rig running windows 7 and I was looking for a low profile keyboard. Needless to say, I couldn't resist the sex appeal of the apple aluminum keyboard. I'm happy to report that I plugged it into my PC and it worked flawlessly.

Wonderful keyboard. Have had this keyboard for a few months now and it hasn't failed me yet!! It works seamlessly with my iMac. No problems what so ever. I absolutely love it!! I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who wants a fantastic keyboard. Like always Apple has made the best! Get one of the great keyboards, you WILL be satisfied.

Numeric Keypad in Bootcamp Vista

I've read a few reviews complaining that the numeric keypad doesn't work in Bootcamp because there is no "num-lock" key... All you have to do is navigate through windows' clumsy start menu to find the "on screen keyboard" and click on the num-lock key on that.

With this little annoyance out of the way this keyboard is fantastic. I love the low profile keys because it feels the same as my macbook air keyboard.

This is by far the best keyboard I have ever typed on... Sure it has a few extra "F" keys but they don't really get in the way. I love everything about it, the construction, the look, and its a lot quieter to type on than a lot of other keyboards. Thank You Apple!

There is no doubt that this keyboard is a work of art. However, there is a major problem with the space bar. You must strike it along the top edge or it will not properly insert a space. Mixed feelings.

I really like the touch, the look, etc. But there are a couple of minor shortfalls:

1. The specialized function keys now being combined with regular "Function" keys. I hate this. It's messed with my mind in all kinds of ways. To me, keyboard shortcuts are sacrosanct. I really liked having specific Volume keys - it was easy to understand and I don't know a human alive who has ever used an "F19" key - way too many "F" keys, there's no reason for crowding the volume keys together with F10-F12. Overriding this behavior (however you have it set) with a laptop-style "fn" key is inconvenient, to say the least.

2. It feels like the spacing has changed significantly. I'm having to retrain my hands (again) - gettin' tired of doing that! Not a huge gripe, because most keyboards are different, but still...
