    Comfortable, Practical, WONDERFUL!

This is the most wonderful keyboard I have ever typed on! The USB 2.0 ports will let me connect anything I like, including my external hard-drive. The function buttons on the top row work perfect with any newer mac computer. The only thin i have to say is that I regret getting this one and not the bluetooth one... Just because I never use the numeric keypad. But that was a mistake on MY part. Apple has done a wonderful job designing this keyboard. The keys give me that familiar MacBook feel which I'm used to when I'm on the go. This is the first keyboard I have seen that the function keys actually work good, like the "media" keys (play/pause, back and forward) are very handy when listening to itunes music. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone with a mac.

    Not just another pretty face...

This keyboard does more than make people go "Ooooooh!" I was able to "test drive" this keyboard for a week about a year ago an fell in love with it after about an hour of use. I'm no speed typist, but adjusting to the lower profile made typing easier. As a PC user it's refreshing to have something that so slim compared to most standard factory issued keyboards. After my brief trial I switched back to my conventional keyboard and was quickly disappointed by how clunky it felt. Most importantly, however, I noticed that I was experiencing increased amounts of discomfort in my wrist, which eventually became quite severe, especially after a particularly busy summer. I made the decision to switch to Mac keyboard and over the course of a week my pain lessened considerably and now, two months later, I am pain free and as comfortable as ever.
There is a downside to using this on a PC, however, as some of my more frequently used keyboard shortcuts don't translate, but this is more an issue of me learning to use it properly than Apple not providing these features. It's a slight learning curve, but shouldn't be enough to deter anyone looking to make the switch. Help can easily be found on-line for users facing the same issue.

    Great Keyboard but want Wireless

    Written by KL from VICTORIA

Great Keyboard, i bought one for all my computers, PC and Mac's in the studio, love them so much but wish i could have a wireless option with numeric keypad, the wireless options are useless to me with out the keypad so i sent it back and bought another wired keyboard with numeric keypad. In the Audio recording i need the options of markers and edits and having the keypad makes that much simpler.

I have a Alienware desktop and i took my parents mac keyboard, and tried to see if it would work with my computer and it turns out it does.
So i am going to buy myself one tomorrow. Just thought i would say this for everyone who wants one that has a PC.

Great Keyboard .. Awesome Aesthetics .. Excellent Feel

Coming from a PC user who loves his Logitech wave keyboards, this Apple Keyboard with keypad was a quick and easy transition.

The look of it is what got me thinking. I returned the wireless keyboard in favor of the numbers as I use spreadsheets quite a bit and the keypad comes in hand.

The keys feel great as i type along with my clackety clack style of knowing where the keys are. I am not a 'typist', but once I know the layout, I can type really fast. This keyboard makes that process so much more easier for me. All the function keys work great, and I would have missed the extra USB ports without this keyboard.

This is good for anyone who has a little space to spare of their uncluttered desks!!

    Numeric Keypad: critical

Written by TS from Spanish Fork

The full keyboard, with the traditional numeric keypad is a gotta have. I paid the extra $49 and stored the in-the-box shorter version when I bought my new iMac early September. I tell ya, I need the full board for two reasons. 1) For minor on-line computations the across the top layout just doesn't get it. I need the "numeric keypad" to complete my work. 2) The new keyboard is painfully small as a useful layout; may be my hands but it's too cramped to be functional. Tom

Overall this is a slick keyboard. Though the keys require a firm stroke, no more force is required than with any other keyboard, and the typing feels nice. Wireless and back lit keys would be a sweet option for this keyboard.

Using this keyboard on a PC, bring it back and forth to work and home. Love it! the only problem i have is not having a print screen key or an insert key but otherwise it is a very nice keyboard for use with a PC.

As mentioned before the two usb ports can not be used to power much of anything. They wont run my iPhone. I have my wireless stick for a mouse plugged in and one device seems to be all it can do. If it plug in a flash drive or camera it says power exceeded.

Sometimes an extra six inches is undesirable

    Written by DG from PHOENIX

After using an Apple wireless keyboard for two years, I decided to move the wireless keyboard into the living room to control another Mac in my home entertainment system. So I went to the Apple Store to get a new keyboard for my desktop. They were out of the wireless keyboards, and all they had were this extended wired keyboard and the smaller wired keyboard that mimics the wireless keyboard. I thought, "Once in a while I miss the number pad. I'll get the extended wired keyboard." It was a mistake. I now have to move my mouse six inches farther over to the right, which is uncomfortable. I still hardly ever use the numpad. And the USB ports on the side are useless. No matter how small a device I plug into them, I get the message, "A USB device needs more power." Even when I just plug in a little SD or CF card reader or a jump drive. It's ridiculous. It seems that the only thing the two USB ports might be good for is a mouse. And I already have a wireless mouse.

Let me clarify that I love the looks of it and the ease of typing and cleaning. But these qualities are present in the smaller wired and wireless keyboards, so I recommend those instead, unless you *really* need the extra six inches for 10-keying.
