    Wow! Very nice!

Best headphones I have ever owned. Amazing sound quality. Just a little too, big sometimes slip out, rarely. If you plan to use them for workouts, forget it. they work great for bus rides or any noisy place that you just want to sit and listen to music. I would recommend them to anybody for this purpose. I use them for push mowing and they cut the noise down and work great. You don't have to turn up the music very much at all.

    GREAT SOUND... but

Written by CM from NEW WESTMINSTER

These have AMAZING sound quality, and with hardware comparable to very high end $200+ phones, these are actually a pretty wicked deal. There is one huge downside though, and it's the silicon tips. I'm not sure if anyone has experienced the same problem as me, but putting these in and out of your pockets causes the tips to get pulled off once and stretch (i think) and they ALWAYS fall off after that. I've lost almost 3 now and it isn't cool because you have to call up apple and have the units exchanged (only within the 1st year will they do that btw). I haven't really figured out a permanent solution to this problem, but i'm considering glue. Even with that problem these headphones are well worth it and you will never want to listen to music without these, especially when you realize how bad those stock iPod headphones are!! Great product, just be careful with it!

Overall i am happy with these headphones.
Great design, great sound quality and i love the packaging.
But some people are saying that they break after a while, i have only had these for a month, and no problems, yet.

    GREAT! yet kinda stinks

okay so they rock....except for the fact ive had them for less then a year and they kinda fell apart. the little ruber things at the bottom of the buds came off in the first 3 months, and just today the right ear bud just....died....but other than that they rock and i would tottaly recomend them! some suggestions for apple though:

make a pair of headphones that dont tangle or twist around themselves!
somehow make it so the soft attachment of the headphone dosent come of INSANELY EASY!

    other than that they rule!

I want to listen to my whole jazz collection again!

Written by AJ from San Diego

    Nov 30, 2009

My brother gave them to me as an early xmas gift, and these headphones are making me rediscover one of my favorite jazz albums: Kind of Blue... I have been listening to it for many years (never on vinyl, sadly) and I have to say it sounds all the more exquisite through these headphones. The double bass now has texture! It feels like the drummer is right next to me, caressing the snare drum with the metal brushes...

The only reason I didn't give these a 5 star rating is because they don't seem like they are going to last too long unless I treat them with lots of TLC. My recommendations: get a cable extension if you can so you won't be yanking on them too much, hold on to the included case, and don't wind them up too tight.

    Peace.

    Really Great earbuds

    Written by RM from Whittier

    Nov 29, 2009

At $79 these are really the best at that price point. Some people may have disappointment in hearing music as it was recorded. I think we are all used to speakers and headsets tuned to set a particualr range of sound. These are neutral. They produce bass when it is really there not just to create it. The separation of instruments is excellent. Overall tonal quality from low to high is the best I have heard at this price range. I do have SE420s and about 8 other types of earbuds, but for the money these really do a great job. Great sounding earbuds and controls that work with my iPhone 3GS is the best I could have hoped for. Try listening to the sound track to the movie 2001: Also Sprach Zarathustra; you won't say they don't go down to subwoofer frequencies after that. One thing about these is really true; they reproduce the sound quality of the mp3 recording. If the recording is not high qualtiy the phones sound bad. These work best with mp3 recorded at higher rates than 120. Try using 250 or 320hz.

    Perfect sound... unfrtunatly

Written by MK from Glen Williams

These must be the best head phones I have ever used! They have amazing sound and i must say the remote was very useful. i bought them for my 120 gb classic and loved them till the left one started buzzing persistantly. thi was so annoying i bought a pair of Skullcandy FMJ's and they were almost as good not as comfotable but still souded ok, after having them completely die on me i went back to these. the left headphone had stopped it's annoying buzzing noise, or so it seemed as it started again around a week ago. as of now the left is completely dead and the right is starting to do the same i bought them last Feb and got the sk's in june, went back to these midway through september. I will be buying another pair for the amazing sound and hoping they last longer then my first did.

pro's : beautiful rich full sound, amazing fit and comfort, handy remote, surprisingly high quality mic, spare mesh caps

con's : didn't last long sounding the way they were supposed to, and the ear tips are smooth not grooved underneath so they easily fall off the unit if yanked or pulled hard.

    Silicone ear pieces go missing...

    Written by GL from Worthington

    Nov 24, 2009

I love these in-ear head phones & remote mic... but they do constantly fall out of my ears and then the worst thing happens... a siiicone ear piece goes missing. Many times we've been lucky & found them in the washer, on the gravel, under the car seat, & even on our much treaded path in our woods. I've already lost both size small ear pieces, so now my ear buds probably fall out because the medium size is too big? Point is: it is too easy for the ear pieces to come off, and get lost and there does not seem to be an easy way to replace them.

    Crisp!

    Written by AR from Ogden

    Nov 19, 2009

I have never had a set of In-Ear headphones that have stayed in so my expectation was low. After I realized that these ones actually do fit I was even more surprised at how clean the sound is! The seal is so tight in your ear however that it does sound a little odd when using them for speaking on the phone. (sorta hard to gage how loud you are speaking). I would recommend these if you have the money to do so. Great for listening to music, Odd for speaking on the phone.

They are not build for constant use like daily commute or any intense workout. The best is the noise cancellation. I wish they were built to take a good beating.

    Written by AR from Markham

    Nov 14, 2009

i use them everyday and they stay in my pocket. overall they had a good life span compared to any other headphone. The only problem is the filters get clogged badly in 2 months for me. The problem with mine is the rubber isn't very good and i had duct tape on mine. But i will still go get another pair

(cause of death: right headphone with no audio even with out the mesh cap)

    Good headphones

    Written by PA from Ithaca

    Nov 11, 2009

These headphones have very good sound quality and decent noise canceling. I just really wish apple would make the volume buttons compatible with the iphone 3G. It should be a simple patch, and it baffles me that they haven't done it yet. Overall, very good, just need to correct the compatibility difficulty.

    Pretty Good

Written by DF from Los Gatos

    Nov 7, 2009

These are great headphones with great sound quality and noise-cancellation, but they often become dirty, so the sound is muffled. This requires removing the outer screen of the earbud and running it under water or soaking it in a cup of water. I have to do this at least once a week. Other than that they are great.

In-ear headphones with remote & mic

Written by LH from Union City

    Nov 7, 2009

For my birthday, I received a set of Bose in-ear headphones with remote -- the sound quality was scratchy and horrible. My husband returned them and purchased the apply in-ear headphones for me as a replacement. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! I followed the various recommendations about having a tight fit in the ear for the bass enhancement and that really works.

Needs a lower price, hold onto your receipt - very good product.

    Written by HL from WASHINGTON

    Nov 5, 2009

I bought my pair from apple.com about three months ago and am very impressed with the sound quality - I too experienced the low bass response others mention in these reviews, but then I pushed them into my ears more tightly and that pretty much solved the problem. What's better is that people I call on my iPhone 3GS understand me better and also praise the sound quality they hear. Yesterday the sound from one of the buds started to die, so I called AppleCare (since this is an Apple part, it has a 1 year warranty) and they're sending me a new one, no problem. Worth $80? Yes, assuming my replacement pair arrives and lasts longer than the first one.

Weak bass if wrong size of ear tips

    Written by AR from Västerås

    Nov 4, 2009

To start with I used the mid-size ear tips and found a very clear sound but no bass at all. After browsing the reviews I saw a suggestion to try different sizes of ear tips. When switching to the smallest tips the bass also become as expected. Though I think they have to be a little too deep inside my ears to be really comfortable.

Love the volume control below the right ear plug. I have added a small clip from another headphone to fasten the wires into my clothing.

Very clear sound compared to the standard earphones the come with my iPhone 3 GS.

Not audiophile , but not bad either

    Written by TF from tempe

    Nov 2, 2009

These were worth it for me since, I appreciate the better sound than that provided from the stock plugs that came with my ipod touch 2nd g. I don't think they lived up to the pre-sale hype, but whatever does? You need to provide a 'seal' to get the 'rich' bass the product tout, so basically the bass is produced artificially via the ear rather than the product itself. It you hear negative reviews about the bass, it's probably because the user is using it incorrect. I must give credit, for such a tiny product, it is amazing sound and I do notice subtleties in some parts of the audible range that are muted with inferior earbuds. I like that I can control some functions with right hand side switch, although I do forget it's there sometimes. I also like that there is a microphone included so now I can record little 'snapshots of sound' Pretty nifty for baby's first words or perhaps a reminder to pick up the milk. I almost bought the Bose product over this but opted for this for function. I may still try Bose, but have this as a spare. This product is supplied with small , medium and large buds and an extra set of these metallic thing a ma jigs that I think protect the interior of the speaker area. The highs are not bad sounding here as well since there is a individual driver for that purpose, but again it didn't over impress me as I thought it would from the hype. Not a bad product though and I recommend it.

Very good product, but only after some tweaking

    Written by PG from Saratoga

    Oct 28, 2009

Getting high quality sound from these headphones is relatively simple-- get a good fit. Although some people may be able to do this with the three sizes of silicone ear plugs that are included, I was not. But for people like me that have an oblong ear canal, or are just not able to get a good fit, I highly recommend getting several sets of T-140 foam tips (set of three pairs, $14.95) from www.complyfoam.com. Use them according to the directions, and you will get the balanced sound you expect, with excellent bass, midrange and treble. And, for those of you that workout, your headphones will not budge with these installed.

After reading several reviews about possible electronic shorts caused by sweat on the three-button switch, I sealed my switch with white electrical tape. This may or may not be practical for all users, since it covers the mic, but it worked for me because I use my headphones with a 3rd-gen iPod Shuffle.

I think you will find that the combination of this product and they Comply Foam tips are as good an answer for high fidelity as any other solution out there less than $100.

Amazing sound, but left tweeter broke.

    Written by KM from Parker

    Oct 24, 2009

I absolutely love these headphones, but the tweeter died after a month of use in the left ear. I upgraded from Skullcandy Ink'd, which sound good, but pale in comparison to these. But, after a year and a half, my Skullcandy's are still working.
