Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic
Weak Buds
Written by LC from Brooklyn
Nov 25, 2009
Apple, I was sure I was getting a superior product, I was so wrong. They were not a cheap pair of ear buds coming from apple. But they sure sound cheap. The out-put is weak. the bass is very disappointing and the trebble just sounds bad. not worth the money. Do better with a less expensive (a lot less expensive) pair of buds. Not to mention the Mic and remote didn't work on my ipod.

Not up to expectation...
Written by AB from EVANSTON

I thought In-Ear would provide the comfort I was looking for. Unfortunately, they should provide beautiful sound quality, but I didn't feel comfortable at all with them. They don't fit firmly on ear, and so I had to very frequently plug them back into my ears...I very much like the standard iPhone headphones, they're great.

Worst Apple Product I've Had
Written by TW from Keller
Nov 14, 2009
I bought this set of earphones at the beginning of the year. Within 30 days one of the rubber earbud covers came off. Luckily I found it after a few minutes of searching. However, one or the other covers comes off periodically. Since they are made of rubber they have a tendency to catch onto different things and come off. Now I lost another one have been looking for it since this morning. I am giving up. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic
Not worth the money
Written by AK from Lafayette
Nov 12, 2009
First of all the headphones do not generate much bass at all until the volume is turned way up. Secondly, the headphones have to be sitting in your ear at some "perfect" position for you to get even sounds from left and the right headphones. Otherwise one would sound louder. This task actually takes more adjusting than one would think.
The worst part of the headphones is that you can hear the rubbing noise of your headphone wire on anything very loudly over your music. If you are walking or running, you will hear all of the noise that is created by your wires being in contact with anything, even on itself. The noise gets amplified up the wires and to your snug rubbery sealed ear canal then thuds and grinds loudly in your head.
I actually returned this and, I can't believe I am saying this, I actually enjoy the headphones that came with my iPhone 3G.19 of 26 people found this useful

Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic
Very Disappointing
Written by SS from Somerset
Nov 11, 2009
Within 1 week of receiving these In-Ear headphones the right earpiece began to cut in and out. Apple replaced them with a new set which worked about a month and the remote stopped working. Apple replaced this set again and within a few weeks the right ear piece began to cut in and out until it finally stopped working altogether. I have several i-pods and the i-phone 3Gs and have always loved apple products but I believe there is either a design flaw or some problem with the manufacturer in China and I cannot recomend this product.

Much better headphones available
Written by PG from Calgary
Nov 9, 2009
I'm a huge apple fan, but this product is not apple-worthy.
The headphones have
- low bass response
- a stiff annoying cord
- and most annoyingly, don't stay in my ears regardless of the insert size or pressure
All at a price that is twice or more better quality headphones.
Look elsewhere for now ...17 of 26 people found this useful

no good

the headphones sound pretty good but try double clicking to switch songs and you'll quickly get frustrated. I volume control is awesome and the voice control works too but the double click for next songs stinks.

RIP OFF!
Written by CE from Tulsa
Nov 6, 2009
I was so excited about getting these headphones! All of the people working in the apple retail
store told me they were the best earphones. They sound exactly the same as the headphones
that come with the iphone. Worst 80 dollars I ever spent. I took them back and got the shure
headphones for 129.99. they are so much better! DO NOT BUY THE APPLE IN-EAR HEADPHONES!37 of 70 people found this useful

horrible!
Written by WV from bangor

I would've given these zero stars. not only do the ear buds outer part fall off constantly the ear buds have to be cleaned every few days or the sound becomes distorted. worse $80 ever. actually had a apple salesperson tell me recently he doesn't recommend them because apple doesn't specialize in headphones.

No Bass and bad sound
Written by EJ from Puebla
Nov 4, 2009
Forget about Bass, the sound is soooo much better on the original ones, not worth the price.
Totally dissapointed, this is NOT a quality product, go for the BOSE headphones, much better and only 10 bucks more.
Believe me, I'm totally honest with you, don't waste money.5 of 15 people found this useful

Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic
not on par
Written by MM from STATEN ISLAND
Nov 3, 2009
This is my second pair of in-ear headphones, and once again the product has failed to work.
My first in-ear headphones were used once before they stopped working on my second use. The right headphone stopped working-no volume. I returned the in-ear headphones to my local apple store and was given a new pair, since I was covered under the warranty,
The second pair of in-ear headphones performance is spotty at best. The volume often fades out or stops all together on the right side. On the left side, no volume can be heard.
In a nut shell-this product is not worth the money.4 of 7 people found this useful

Worked poorly for only 3 days - Don't buy
Written by TS from Spokane Valley
Nov 3, 2009
Purchased this product on Saturday to replace the poorly designed stock headphones that came with my new Touch. Disappointed right off the bat. Wearing these head phones is like trying to listen to music through a doctor's stethoscope. Every bump and movement is picked up through the wire and transmitted directly to your ear. My $29 Sony ear buds have a similar problem but much much less than these $69 Apple buds. Now it is Tuesday and they have completely stopped working. They have not gotten wet or exposed to any moisture - they have just stopped. 3 days - thats it! I hate being an unpaid beta tester for Apple.

Just horrible
Written by DZ from carmel

i got these headphone cause the ones that came with my iphone 3gs kept shocking my ear.. i went through three pairs of those.. then i thought that these would be better.. they werent.. after 1 day the sound came out terrible.. there was no bass and everything was fuzzy..i returned them and sprang an extra $20 of my own money and got the bose in ear headphones. THEY WERE AMAZING.. nothing can compare to them.. even with out the remote and mic they blow the apple ones out of the water.. apple might have great music products but they just cant seem to master the audio aspect.

Expect more from Apple
Written by TH from Ottawa
Oct 28, 2009
I purchased these when they first came out about a year ago, and I must say i'm disappointed in Apple. I own many Mac products and am very satisfied with all of them except for these headphones.
First off, the sound quality is nothing spectacular - it lacks bass. Also, they are not very durable - the sound is way lower in the right ear compared to the left one lately. And finally, the ear bud sizes it come with are not very comfortable and they easily fall off, I lost my small ear bud, so now I'm stuck with a medium in one ear, and small in the other.
My advice would be to skip this product, especially at the 89.99 price tag15 of 27 people found this useful

sound is great, but the build quality is horrible
Written by MH from LOS ANGELES
Oct 26, 2009
I now got my 3rd pair of these headsets. As much as want to like them, I had nothing but problems with the buttons. It's great that you can just walk into an apple store and return them without trouble, but what good is it if the new pair gives up after 2-3 uses.
I will give it one more try before I give up and order these from a different supplier15 of 31 people found this useful
