Found Them Extremely Fragile

These headphones have very good quality sound and a great form factor. But despite how gently I've treated them, those tiny white wires on two pairs have just snapped with normal usage. At $80, I can't afford for them to only last a couple of weeks. And I've been very, VERY careful--especially with the second pair--and have not had this problem with any other headphones before. I'm a devoted Mac fan for 25 years and this is the first hardware quality problem I've ever encountered that seems due to design.

Amazing sound, but left tweeter broke.

I absolutely love these headphones, but the tweeter died after a month of use in the left ear. I upgraded from Skullcandy Ink'd, which sound good, but pale in comparison to these. But, after a year and a half, my Skullcandy's are still working.

Guys they are $80, get over it...

For $80 they're fine, decent sound, good isolation, and controls. I bought these because my standard headphones kept falling out during workouts. I have a pair of custom molded triple driver alien ears, but my ears get too sweaty during hard workouts for the alien ears. The bass response is ok for a dual driver(my triple drivers are amazing) but again they're only $80 for something apple branded that's not bad. If you're looking for value then apple is not the way to go. If you're looking for sound quality then MP3 players in general are not the way to go. But this is a good medium.

it is porlly the best sounding in ear phones but it broke after 1 use, one of the earpieces stoppped workin now im stuck with only 1 earpiece

Increadible sounding headphones, works (mostly) with iphone 3G

I bought these headphones as upgrade by an excellent pair of sony headphones (can't remember the model but they're also in ear and priced similarly), I also have a big pair of $200 noise cancelling over the ear sony headphones and I definitely prefer the sound quality of these headphones the most. As the experienced audio engineer in another review explained, in much better detail, you get a very honest sound from these headphones.

You put these headphones on and you quickly remember how 'clear' audio sounds. The highs and low you expect to muffle like they would in other headphones come through so crisp its wonderful. Another reviewer commented on getting the fit just right and you should certainly take that persons advice. Play around with different ear piece sizes and the angle at which you place the ear buds in your ear. Once you get it right you'll know, otherwise you'll feel like there is zero bass. Its certainly worth the effort.

Finally for you iphone users looking for some good headphones with a remote, look no further. It works just fine with my iphone 3G, all except for the volume buttons. Probably the most manageable loss since the controls are on the phone anyway. Incase you think you've got a lemon and the remotes not working check the jack for lint (I used a needle but be careful and do it at your own risk). I fished out a couple nice pieces and the remotes worked perfect since.

I'm mostly very pleased with these headphones. They're plenty loud, sound very good, and pick up all sorts of subtleties in the audio. I do however have two nagging problems. The rubber earpieces are CONSTANTLY being separated from the headphones. They are thus very easily lost. I chalk it up to sheer luck that i am still in possession of them. The other issue is that there is no mechanism for securing them to your person during listening. This means they get snagged and come out easily and they are also prone to slipping out of ideal position during excersice or heavy activity.

I've had a few pairs of in-ear buds and these are very good overall. I am not an audiophile, but if I was, I wouldn't be listening to most of my music from my iPhone, either, so the arguments about there being better (albeit more expensive) options really didn't hold water with me when I was making my choice. The sound is good.

My iPhone is a 3G and does not support the volume function. My Macbook Pro does support this feature. As a result, I can tell you that all of the controls work well and responsively.

The muting effect of the buds is pretty darn good. As a result, my wife HATES these earphones. When I'm working with them in, I never hear anything she says to me. You can make your own decision as to whether is this a plus or a minus.

I have two complaints about them. The first is the form fit connection between the metal and the rubber ear piece. It is very good initially, but weakens a little as time goes on. In normal use, this has no relevance. In my life, it is very frustrating. I carry these, out of case, in my pocket. A lot. I don't carry the case because it is too bulky for my pocket and because it takes a little too much effort to wind the phones into it and pull them out as often as I do (5-10 times a day). When I pull them from my pocket, the ear pieces come off and roll around on the floor. I have lost one of the pieces this way. Fortunately, my ears are different sizes, so I had a back-up.

Now, about 10 months after purchasing them, the connection at the audio jack is messed up. It is definitely the earphones and not the device because the problems occur with all devices I plug them into. A TINY bump or wiggle at the connector causes music to stop, skip to the next song, or volume changes.

I REALLY liked these earphones until this last bit. I know I am rough on my ear phones, so I have taken that into account when rating these.

Ive had these headphones for 5 months now, got them as a gift. But if I didnt I would have bought them myself! They're worth every penny. Light weight, literally blocks out any noise without music being on. I get us iPhone users cant use the volume control but thats why they're "apple in ear headphones" rather than " iPhone in ear headphones" like the ones made compatible for the iPhone. I personally love these headphones, as someone that takes the noisy NYC subway every morning and every evening, these are great! Not to mention the convenient case!

Best Headphones I've Ever Had

Just recently bought them online and these are the best headphones i've used to this date. They do isolate most sounds, but unlike sennherisers when people talk to you, you can actually hear something instead of people having to yell at you to get your attention. They sit nicely in your ear and don't move around. The sound quality is amazing, there is enough bass, but not to much to hurt your ears, but still has that kick. Highly recommended.

After one month of light use (2 hours per day, max.) the right earphone DIED. Did my research before buying and understand nothing's built to last forever. But if these are the best in-ear headphones with an iPhone remote out there... not good.

This is sooo terrible!!!
Those headphones are so expensive and I have bought new ones - and they are broken!!!
I cannot ajust any volume. This remote is so fragile that it will get broken after few months of using it. I do not recommend it. As for Apple - I'm very dissapointed. Those headphones sure look fancy - but do not deceive urself - they are no good :(

Comfortable But . . .

•Love the + and - volume that was added to the clicker and mic.
•They also sound terrible.
Tinny with no base. Like listing to a cheap AM radio speaker. Apple's $30 earbuds sound much better, but don't feel as good. (I still gave it two stars for the feel)
I was very surprised, I usually love everything Apple makes. I had my friends listen to them, (to make sure I wasn't crazy) they all said the same thing. I took them back to the Apple store and had the Apple guy listen to them, he agreed with me. We opened two other packages with the same result. At his suggesting, I came back a month later and bought another pair, same sound. A different Apple person this time suggested changing the EQ and pushing deeper into my ear but It wasn't going to change the way these earbuds were designed and sounded.
Apple did honor their satisfaction guarantee and gave me my money back. Apple gets credit for that.
I do like Apple's $30 iPhone earbuds, they fit good but I use them sooooo much I wanted something softer.
For now I'm now using SnuggBuds for the iPhone. Good sound at half the price. (and no volume control)
I guess I'll wait to see what Apple comes up with for their next version of their soft iPhone earbuds. Till then, I'm off to try out Apple's new Magic Mouse.

Lacking in bass and refuse to stay in my ears

I was excited for my first pair of dual-driver headphones, and overall the sound quality is very good, most noticeably in the mid-high range. The low range however, is disappointingly absent. The sound is mostly in the higher range, with very little bass response. This leaves the sound feeling somewhat cold. Other than this, sound quality is excellent. The only other issue with these headphones I've encountered is that they refuse to stay in my ears. I've tried every size of the silicone ear tips, and every single one pops out after only minutes of listening, and even faster if I'm moving. The only solution I've found to this is to DRY my ears with kleenex before using these headphones.

These headphones are absolutely pathetic in terms of sound quality, which is what the $80 cost should buy you. Yeah they fit very well in the ear and look cool, but sound quality is flat out terrible. Do not buy these if you care about sound quality.

i had a pair of Bose in ear headphones until they broke i thought they were the best, i was thinking about buying a new pair but instead i bought these and i am very satisfied. they cancel out noise way better then the Bose pair i had. very good if you are one a plane or bus you can't anything besides your music.

People!!!! You guys didn't adjust the EQ of your liking! Go to settings>Music>EQ>Select the EQ you want. It changes everything and gives an immense bass in hip/hop or Bass Booster. That'll get rid of the buzzing noise you get sometimes.
