RIP OFF!
Written by CE from Tulsa

I was so excited about getting these headphones! All of the people working in the apple retail
store told me they were the best earphones. They sound exactly the same as the headphones
that come with the iphone. Worst 80 dollars I ever spent. I took them back and got the shure
headphones for 129.99. they are so much better! DO NOT BUY THE APPLE IN-EAR HEADPHONES!14 of 22 people found this useful

The best for the price
Written by DW from Mesa

Compared to a dozen or so others, this is probably the best I've owned.
4+ months and still satisfied.
+ Very comfortable in-ear headphones.
+ Light weight tangle resistent cord
+ Clear accurate sound reproduction
+ Integrated microphone and switch work as expected
+ Comes with convenient hard plastic shell case
- Price seems a little high.
- Not atypical of earbuds in general, lacking some bass response6 of 14 people found this useful

Needs a lower price, hold onto your receipt - very good product.

I bought my pair from apple.com about three months ago and am very impressed with the sound quality - I too experienced the low bass response others mention in these reviews, but then I pushed them into my ears more tightly and that pretty much solved the problem. What's better is that people I call on my iPhone 3GS understand me better and also praise the sound quality they hear. Yesterday the sound from one of the buds started to die, so I called AppleCare (since this is an Apple part, it has a 1 year warranty) and they're sending me a new one, no problem. Worth $80? Yes, assuming my replacement pair arrives and lasts longer than the first one.

horrible!

I would've given these zero stars. not only do the ear buds outer part fall off constantly the ear buds have to be cleaned every few days or the sound becomes distorted. worse $80 ever. actually had a apple salesperson tell me recently he doesn't recommend them because apple doesn't specialize in headphones.

It could be better

Most people agree that headphones come with package is not really good. I choosed to buy these, because I trust Apple. I believe it worths every penny I pay to Apple. But this was a little bit dissapointing.
I was expecting much much more sound quality. Especially for basses. It was the real dissapointment to me.
But i like the controls, quality of the product and packaging, design. Since I like the controls of my 3G ipod touch, I am kinda stuck with this headphones. My new headphones should suppot remote and voice conttoling.

No Bass and bad sound
Written by EJ from Puebla

Forget about Bass, the sound is soooo much better on the original ones, not worth the price.
Totally dissapointed, this is NOT a quality product, go for the BOSE headphones, much better and only 10 bucks more.
Believe me, I'm totally honest with you, don't waste money.1 of 4 people found this useful

Weak bass if wrong size of ear tips
Written by AR from Västerås
Nov 4, 2009
To start with I used the mid-size ear tips and found a very clear sound but no bass at all. After browsing the reviews I saw a suggestion to try different sizes of ear tips. When switching to the smallest tips the bass also become as expected. Though I think they have to be a little too deep inside my ears to be really comfortable.
Love the volume control below the right ear plug. I have added a small clip from another headphone to fasten the wires into my clothing.
Very clear sound compared to the standard earphones the come with my iPhone 3 GS.0 of 1 people found this useful

Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic
not on par
Written by MM from STATEN ISLAND

This is my second pair of in-ear headphones, and once again the product has failed to work.
My first in-ear headphones were used once before they stopped working on my second use. The right headphone stopped working-no volume. I returned the in-ear headphones to my local apple store and was given a new pair, since I was covered under the warranty,
The second pair of in-ear headphones performance is spotty at best. The volume often fades out or stops all together on the right side. On the left side, no volume can be heard.
In a nut shell-this product is not worth the money.1 of 2 people found this useful

Worked poorly for only 3 days - Don't buy
Written by TS from Spokane Valley

Purchased this product on Saturday to replace the poorly designed stock headphones that came with my new Touch. Disappointed right off the bat. Wearing these head phones is like trying to listen to music through a doctor's stethoscope. Every bump and movement is picked up through the wire and transmitted directly to your ear. My $29 Sony ear buds have a similar problem but much much less than these $69 Apple buds. Now it is Tuesday and they have completely stopped working. They have not gotten wet or exposed to any moisture - they have just stopped. 3 days - thats it! I hate being an unpaid beta tester for Apple.

I also own the old model of in ear headphones. They did not fit in my ears. These ones do. The sound is great. Enough said.
