I would give 0 stars if I could

With such a stunning product as the Apple iPhone (and the stunning price of the device) it is very disappointing to see them add these huge earphones to the package instead of the newer earbuds.

The sound quality might be good, nothing compared to todays noise-canceling earbuds though. They will not stay put, constantly fall out of your ears and they will hurt after shoving them in several times.
You won't be able to move at all, it's so annoying.
I can't understand why they bother produce these things at all.

DON'T BUY THEM, NOT WORTH IT!

    Cheaply made

The clicker feature is excellent, but I have gone through three sets in 5 months. The first set the wire insulation was pulled away from the wire at the microphone--leaving a short that cause headphone and microphone static. The second and third set the ear-bud fell apart. If they made these exact headphones in the same way, but durable, they would be great, but they only last about a month for me apparently.

this ear piece keeps falling out - causing me to focus more on the ear piece than on the music/video I'm listening/watching.

    Useless in practice

    Why aren't these in-ear, noise-isolating headphones?

One star for actually being quite good apart from falling out of my ears.

    Dont fit in my ears

The headphones don't fit in my ears, AND the iphone's headphone jack is set in so that if you attempt to plug reagular headphones in it doesn't work. I wish apple would design a set of ear buds which features tapered rubber buds that are comfortable and actually fit and stay in your ears. I would buy them.

    HORRIBLY DISAPPOINTED

I have bought these headphones 3 times for my iphone and they are great UNTIL about 2 weeks later the right earbud falls out. This has happened 3 times and it has always been the right earbud never the left. After it falls out i would put it back in and it would stay but within a few days the wires ripped. I do not suggest anyone buying these. also, the play/pause button stops working under cold weather conditions.

i have enough trouble with the earbuds that came with my iPod. these are even smaller and do not stay in.
    at all.
i can't use them, and will need to get an adapter for my other regular headphones if i ever hope to use my iPhone at the gym. or even just to sit very still on a train.
no one should be buying these; either use your old 'phones and/or get a bluetooth earpiece.

These came with my super costly iPhone and now after less than a year the rubber started coming off of the right ear bud and then the glue so now it is completely worthless. Bothers me that I have to spend another $30 for a replacement since all other compatible earphones are $100 or more.

    Not Durable

Written by DV from La Jolla

    Feb 19, 2008

I'm about to go on my third set.
My iPod headphones lasted during daily use until I purchased a new iPod.

iPhone headsets do not last. Both sets I had problems with the mic side earpiece not working. In the last set, the earpiece continually separated, until the wires broke..

I am on my 7th pair. They just wear out after 3-4 months. The sound just gets dimmer over time. Usually in the mic ear first.
However, the first pair is covered under the first year warrenty.

    Not Rock'n like I used to 80(

    Written by EC from BACLIFF

    Mar 20, 2008

I liked em at first, sound quality to be expected and okay ( but DEF a far cry from SUPERB)... and then it happened the stupid RIGHT side screen fell off (seems to be an ongoing theme with this type of issue), I didn't abuse or misuse my headphones and even went out of the way to be careful with them. So now the LEFT side is all I have to listen too 80(, so much for stereo sound. It's terribly disappointing to pay THIS MUCH for a set of headphones just to have them fall apart only after a couple of weeks usage. I wanted to try and glue the screen back on BUT it was lost by the time I discovered it missing and the sound was gone.
I dig the clicker mic, VERY COOL and convenient, however it doesn't make up for the fact that I now have a less than mono sound thumping through my head....Curse You cheap headphones!

Broke in less than 1 month!

    Written by AC from Newton

This seems to be trend with Apple Earphones. It's confounding that Apple have yet to improve on the production quality of these Earphones. The rubber lining over the wires will easily crack open and consequently, expose the wires.

Among the Earphone category, I would classify this as 'disposable'.

Apple makes the worst headphones on the face of the planet

    Written by NG from Covington

I have been through 6 pairs of these headphones in about a year. The problems I have experienced with one or more headset include, but are not limited to:
    the button breaks
    the sound gets fuzzy
The plastic ring comes off and the sharp edge irritates your ear
    Sound only from one ear
I am a HUGE apple fan but these are the WORST HEADPHONES EVER.
BTW - the regular iPod headphones are no better.

    Overpriced and crummy

Written by SK from Palm Harbor

    Jul 5, 2008

I've used the Apple iPhone Stereo Headset for the past three months or so. The earbuds do not fit well, the insulation in the earbuds has already begun tearing, the wiring insulation at the top of the microphone has started separating (resulting in intermittent poor quality sound to callers), and the dadgum thing is really expensive. Why must Apple price even the most cheaply manufactured, virtually disposable-quality products at $29.95? Apple can do better than this, and it should.

DO NOT BUY!! i just got my second pair thinking it was going to last longer than the first, but i was wrong. Within the first 3 months of having them the right earbud already broke, even though ive been treating them well. Also not very loud..you have to be in a pretty quiet environment to hear well. Bad way to spend 30 bucks.

    Disposable Headphones

Written by SH from SAN FRANCISCO

The sound quality is pretty poor, but that is to be expected at this price range..

What is unexpected is how fragile the "clicker" is. First pair broke in 2 weeks, second pair broke before I had even walked one block (!).
