Good for basic replacement set
Written by AC from Jasper

As far as ear-bud sets go, this is the best I've tried. Most ear buds always fall out of my ears, but I guess the rubber "lip" around the speakers helps hold it in place. I prefer these over any "in-ear" design I've ever tried

good product from apple...

This a good product from apple.... .
i have been using this stereo headset for about 1 year. with that experience i'm posting you my review
what's best in this product:- Great Quality, Good output sound, white in color and high sensitive microphone.
The best i think in this product is a single touch button, which acts as both answer button and play your music from your iphone. this button have multifunction such as next song(press twice ), pause(press once), previous song(press 4 times). open your music is hold for 1 sec...
when i put this stereo headset i feel a great comfort which i never experience with any other earphones.
what's i worried about :- it is highly sensitive to dust. so it losses it white color as you use much and so and its not a big problem.
i pressed the single touch button for about 250 times one day listening music all the day. the button is no longer working. so please never press button too hard.
the cost of the iphone stereo is little bit high (because its quality is high)2 of 2 people found this useful

Very good earbuds!
Written by DN from Norfolk

I'm no professional musician, but am pretty picky when it comes to headphones. I'm a recent new owner of an iPhone and these came with it. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound from them. I have some Koss PortaPros that I compared them to, and although they don't achieve the same level of bass or warmth, they come surprisingly close. I've had an iPod with the previous generation of horrible earbuds that come with it, and this is a major improvement in the sound. I haven't worn them too long, but they're definitely more comfortable than before. I can't vouch for the quality of the mic just yet. But again for some Apple earbuds, they definitely sound great.

I Like Them!!
Written by JV from Venice
May 29, 2009
I haven't had these for very long but they work very well for me. My only concern is them breaking. I go through headphones like you wouldn't believe, but because of how light these ones are I'm always afraid that one of the earbuds will just rip off or something. But they sound very good, coming from some one who's used to Bose headphones. I like this product and when they do actually break I'll buy them again!

I like'em!
Written by AS from Jacksonville

The headset that comes with the iPhone works just fine for phone conversations, much easier than holding the phone to my ear, and, for me, and the sound is pretty good. I would like a couple of extra sets to leave around (work, car, etc), so if all the complainers would send me theirs I wouldn't have to buy an extra set. By the way, I bought an expensive set of phones that I ultimately rejected and went back to these as simple, light, and sound worthy

Inconsistent
Written by CR from Marietta
May 19, 2009
The set that came with my iPhone 3G were tolerable. They fit improperly and started to hurt after a while, but I ended up tolerating them. Last Friday the skies over Atlanta opened up, getting some water on my headphones. The right one stopped working properly, so I picked up a new set this morning.
These fit and sound great. No problems with pain, no problems with getting a good fit. Consequently, they sound better than the previous set.
This sort of inconsistency is kind of puzzling, but since I now have a set that performs as expected I give four stars.12 of 13 people found this useful

hit and miss
Written by MD from MITCHELTON

The sound is ok, but the quality is a bit hit and miss. I used to have three pairs, two broke for no reason, but the third has gone through the wash, and been stood on (on cement) and still work (the metal mesh bit is now a bit buckled and the white plastic is scratched badly).

Re: Not too bad...

I have not been using head phones for a very long time, maybe since my teenage days. Am so used to bluetooth! i purchased the Sennheiser FLX 70 but to the biggest disappointment, iPhone's bluetooth software SUCKS!Cause the other party always cannot hear me clearly. So to my desperation and not wanting to waste my money on other stuffs (Wanted to buy the Sennheiser MM 50 iP), i reluctantly took out apple's iPhone original ear headset and tried. To my amazement, it is good! Good enough for me to hear my songs and videos clearly. Everything is just right, the wires are positioned infront (Those positioned behind tends to get stuck on the neck) and the mic is jus right near my mouth. Design is a bit losing out... Though the ear piece fits well in the ear but after a long period the ear tends to hurt due to the fact that the ear piece is made of hard plastic.

Good Headphones
Written by NC from Lansing
Apr 7, 2009
I just got my iPhone a week ago...
Pro:
1. Great sound quality
2. Great small mic
3. The mic button thing works great for when people call you and your iPhone is in your pocket and all you have to do is click the button to answer and end calls when your headphones are plugged in.
4. The button also controls your music: starts/stops and skips to next song.
Cons:
1. Will hurt ears after a while.
2. Mic breaks easy if cord is pulled on. (you can hear the other person but they cant hear you)
3. Mic picks up every noise in the background.
So far that's my thoughts on this product hope it helps :P

Like them.
Written by MM from New York

Hi.
I have an iPhone 2G and x3 of these headphones.
I like them, because the sound is good (i dont really understand much of music, but as a average user they are good). In spite of the fact, that they are completly plastic, the headphones fits perfectly in my ear and dont falls even when I am running.
The mic is genius, so small and useful.
The problem is that they are really easy to be broken. On my first, second and now on my tird the left one begab to play really lower than the right .. after some incidents of course (not a big ones I think).
So I think now to try something different, Sennheiser probably.
But if you are not as bad user as me and you can care on the stuff you have, get the headphones :)3 of 5 people found this useful

Apple iBuds
Written by RK from Cleveland
Feb 23, 2009
I have narrow ear channels or openings, and most in-ear bud-type phones will not stay in and are most uncomfortable. While there is occasional slippage, the Apple ear-bud phones stay in quite reliably and are quite comfortable, and I find the sound to be very good. I have also found that, in my 3-4 years of use with the various iPods I have purchased, the Apple ear phones are more durable than other name-brand phones I have used with other portable personal stereos. I am quite satisfied and have purchased two more sets as back-ups.

Good For The Money
Written by BD from Reston

These earbuds work very well, considering the cost and purpose. I am generally picky about earpieces (they often fall out of my ears) and have had no problem with these at all. The sound quality is very good - again, considering the cost.

iPhone Stereo Headset
Works great if treated well
Written by ZH from orinda
Feb 3, 2009
Pros:
-Great quality sound for music
-Very responsive and clear microphone
-Fits fine in the ear
-Looks nice
Cons:
-Because of the microphone, there isn't that thing that's used to keep the headphones together (that slides up and down the regular headphones)
-The button on the microphone isn't all that useful, and is tough to find in the dark or if you aren't looking.
-Just about as fragile as the iPod earphones. Lose volume in 1-ear after a while if not treated very well.
-Difficult to understand the people you're talking to at times, and the call volume isn't the best.
Overall: Treat them right and they'll serve you well for years, but being rough with them will result in volume loss in one ear, which is why I've gone through 7 pairs of Apple earphones since getting my iPod nano 3 years ago.21 of 25 people found this useful

I'm really happy with these headphones. I find them very comfortable for my daily commute, and the simple functionality of the button/mic is fantastic.
However, that button has stopped working for me (after about 6 months), so I'm going to have to get them replaced.2 of 4 people found this useful
