Reviews for Apple iPod shuffle Dock

I was really shocked to see so many negative reviews. I've had the shuffle for a couple of years now, and it works fine. The vertical piece that everyone seems to whine about has not broken. MAYBE, I treat my stuff with care because i don't know...i actually LIKE them and want them to work? not to mention i paid for them with my own money. So, no I dont travel with it around in my purse or bag where it can get dropped on or kicked, and I certainly don't leave it on the floor where a dog can get at it or someone step on it! The charger dock has worked impeccably, only now after two years is it starting to act funny, like not pulling up iTunes automatically right away. but give it a rest and its back to normal soon. it gets 4 instead of 5 because you do need the special dock to charge it, doesn't work with the other cables of the other iPod toys, and its starting to act funny after two years. Seriously people, take care of your stuff and maybe it might actually last longer than two weeks....

I get all excited to add new music to my ipod, but I find that the vertical stick in my Ipod is mysteriously leaning to the side. It was in my purse and I don't throw it around or mistreat it. So it must have broken from just setting my purse down.

I thought maybe I could straighten it and maybe it will still work, but now I'm without music and battery charging. How did it bend so easily?

I didn't notice how fragile it is, but I see that I have to pay 30 bucks out of my pocket for this cheapness.

I too was tring to charge my I-pod shuffle but the vertical part was leaning and it made my I-pod not able to charge. I am 12 year old and LOVE!!!! music. One day I took my charger to VA. and when I got there the tip of the charger was SNAPPED OFF. I would not suggest the I-pod shuffle it is a cheep peice of junk or at least the charger is

For the first few months I had the shuffle, its songs played fine on Itunes on my laptop with Vista. Then it stopped. I was ready to buy a new dock when I read these reviews. The one from KM from Raleigh dated 2/22 solved my problem. When I push down on the shuffle in the dock, Itunes plays it. Not exactly the best engineering, I guess, but it works again.

I just received my aluminum shuffle two days ago. As mentioned in prior complaints, the plug got bent and it won't charge. A new one will almost cost as much as the ipod. My excitement for Apple products has been greatly diminished.

I've had the shuffle for about 3 weeks and already have to buy a new dock because the metal piece of the one it came with broke off in my laptop bag. I didn't put it at an odd angle either. It's not even sturdy enough for normal wear and tear.

My BMW is a piece of junk too because every time I slam it into a tree it breaks. Gimme a break! Stop stepping on the dock. The dock does exactly what it's supposed to do. All these people are same ones who complain when they drop their iPod in the toilet and then blame the ipod for not magically fixing itself.

The usb docking plug to the shuffle is loose and will not work. I got this product for Christmas and now I can't use it

Just like all the other reviews, I had mine for about a week and the thing that sticks up broke off. It was actually cheaper to buy a refurbished ipod shuffle than a new dock. Guess what? That one broke off also. I now have two shuffles and no dock. What a piece of junk! I would give it less than one star but that's now an option.
