    Could be better

    • Written by from Carrollton

I agree with alot of other comments. The velcro after a few months becomes useless, which is a huge problem if you go for runs or workout at all. They should have also made this product in black. It was a good idea and has alot of potential but they need to figure out the velcro situation.

    Good and Long

    • Written by from Fort Worth

I've had this band for almost 3 years now. This month it finally started falling apart on me. All of the rubbery coating on the outside of the band is crumbling off and it is losing its elasticity. Almost 3 years though. It's hard to complain. $30 thought for a new one? Kind of tough to swallow.

    Rather impressed

    • Written by from Avondale

I bought my armband as soon as i bought my Nano. i Love it. I run two miles every morning, its been about six months and it has stood up to the sweat and its nice because unlike other armbands the screen cannot get foggy. the only problems i have had include the velcro strap scratching the inside of my arm and that its hard to view the screen and adjust the volume. but overall the armband is simple, practical, stays on my arm, and keeps my Nano safe from sweat. Nice Job Apple!

I recently purchased the Nike+ kit and am very disappointed that there is not a compatible armband for my 2nd generation Nano when I have the Nike+ attachment on. Shame on you Apple!

    Product update?

    • Written by from Langley

I've always liked this armband, although until recently I wasn't working out as much... However, I'm very disappointed that there is no alternative for those who are using the Nike+. I understand that Apple would like to make more money by convincing people to purchase the 3rd generation nano, but for those of us who have the 1st or 2nd gen. nanos it would be nice to have compatible equipment. Remember, Appple, we were the first ones on the nano-bandwagon: doesn't that deserve some gratitude? Instead we are ignored and left to mutilate what products we have in order to continue using our current products.
In the end, this is a great little armband if you don't work out very often and if you don't plan on using the Nike+. Hopefully Apple remembers that we still exist and creates something that is more universally compatible with the Nike+.

    It WAS nice...

    • Written by from Houston

I loved this armband, I got the pink to go with my pink ipod. It worked and looked great for a while. Now the velcro barely holds and I have to keep restrapping the thing on, which is annoying when I am trying to work out. If they velcro worked better/longer and the material was easier to clean, they would have a winner! I also think it was a bit pricey for what you get. I need a new one because mine wont stay on, and I probably wont buy this one again.

I am female and am VERY HAPPY w/the Armband! People need to stop winning SOOOOO much on the GREAT LITTLE THINGS and focus on other important things like war, high gas prices, the economy, etc. I AM VERY PLEASED W/MY ARMBAND...SO YOU GO APPLE!!!! BUT I must say…GREAT advice on the hand-washing the strap part…thank you man!

    Difficult to Use

    • Written by from Pikeville

I found that the Ipod would often slip out of the armband slightly when running, causing the cord to disconnect. The volume and song selection was difficult to control, and the strap fit awkwardly over the arm. I usually would end up having to take the Ipod out of the case to switch songs. I eventually gave up altogether and decided to keep my Ipod in my pocket, which seemed to make a much better carrying case than the armband.

Good for women, HORRIBLE for MEN!!!

    • Written by

I'm sure this thing would be great for a woman, but for us "Man-sized" men I have to strap it just above my elbow or to my forearm. Do NOT buy if you have larger biceps. A little awkward, that's all.

Good design, less than stellar velcro

    • Written by from Austin

Works great at first, but the velcro wears out rather quickly and it has a difficult time staying clasped shut during weights or while washing the car. It rarely comes off during cardio, though. There appears no effective directions to wash or clean it, so mine sort of smells now, but that's after the better part of a year's regular use. It should be $20, not $30, and have a more washable/sweat resistant band.

    Don't buy with Nike+ System

    • Written by from Embrun

If you're considering buying this and have the Nike + kit, don't bother. The adapter and Nano don't fit inside it and tearing apart a 40$ armband just isn't my idea of a fun time. Returned it to the store and am now looking for something new. Typical of Apple and Nike to come up with a joint product, but not have all the proper apparel for it...

    Its just ok

    • Written by from Plainview

I bought this product soon after getting a nano so that I could workout easier. However when I purchased this product it did not say that the tiny circular velcroe will not stick while working out after use for one month. Also this product does not fit comfortably around the biceps.

    cute, but ill designed

    • Written by from Elk Grove

It's a good LOOKING holder, but has serious design flaws. First, it is barely big enough for my arm and I'm no bodybuilder. Secondly, the strap adjusts on the outside of the left arm (most of us are right handed and put it on the left), making it hard to adjust if it's "rightside-up". Third, the velcro spots are a lousy design for making small adjustments in the circumference. I ended up replacing it with a competitor's model.

    Sometimes an inconvinience

    • Written by from Katy

Although this product is great, I have found it to be somewhat an incovinience. Working out is often a hassle because the iPod can slip out. Now, I'm not suggesting this happens every time, but once in a while, it does. I worry about my iPod breaking when it falls, but it hasn't yet. Although this IS an inconvinience, it has a great design and is very comfortable!

This armband is as sleek and lightweight as the ipod itself! It looks great and is just extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend it!
