    Could be better

    • Written by from Carrollton

I agree with alot of other comments. The velcro after a few months becomes useless, which is a huge problem if you go for runs or workout at all. They should have also made this product in black. It was a good idea and has alot of potential but they need to figure out the velcro situation.

    Product update?

    • Written by from Langley

I've always liked this armband, although until recently I wasn't working out as much... However, I'm very disappointed that there is no alternative for those who are using the Nike+. I understand that Apple would like to make more money by convincing people to purchase the 3rd generation nano, but for those of us who have the 1st or 2nd gen. nanos it would be nice to have compatible equipment. Remember, Appple, we were the first ones on the nano-bandwagon: doesn't that deserve some gratitude? Instead we are ignored and left to mutilate what products we have in order to continue using our current products.
In the end, this is a great little armband if you don't work out very often and if you don't plan on using the Nike+. Hopefully Apple remembers that we still exist and creates something that is more universally compatible with the Nike+.

    It WAS nice...

    • Written by from Houston

I loved this armband, I got the pink to go with my pink ipod. It worked and looked great for a while. Now the velcro barely holds and I have to keep restrapping the thing on, which is annoying when I am trying to work out. If they velcro worked better/longer and the material was easier to clean, they would have a winner! I also think it was a bit pricey for what you get. I need a new one because mine wont stay on, and I probably wont buy this one again.

Good design, less than stellar velcro

    • Written by from Austin

Works great at first, but the velcro wears out rather quickly and it has a difficult time staying clasped shut during weights or while washing the car. It rarely comes off during cardio, though. There appears no effective directions to wash or clean it, so mine sort of smells now, but that's after the better part of a year's regular use. It should be $20, not $30, and have a more washable/sweat resistant band.

    Its just ok

    • Written by from Plainview

I bought this product soon after getting a nano so that I could workout easier. However when I purchased this product it did not say that the tiny circular velcroe will not stick while working out after use for one month. Also this product does not fit comfortably around the biceps.

    cute, but ill designed

    • Written by from Elk Grove

It's a good LOOKING holder, but has serious design flaws. First, it is barely big enough for my arm and I'm no bodybuilder. Secondly, the strap adjusts on the outside of the left arm (most of us are right handed and put it on the left), making it hard to adjust if it's "rightside-up". Third, the velcro spots are a lousy design for making small adjustments in the circumference. I ended up replacing it with a competitor's model.

    cool looks but poor design

    • Written by from Long Beach

i think it looks really cool and it makes bringing my ipod to the gym really convenient. unfortunately, the velcro patches do not stick together very well after a few times of use.

    Nike+ Beware

    • Written by from Ida Grove

This armband is nice but if you plan to use your iPod with Nike+, it will not accommodate then entire iPod and relay unit you plug into the bottom of the iPod. Seems like something rather simple could have been done to foresee this but it was not.

Starts to Smell - No Washing It

    • Written by from New Castle

About 1 month after working out with this 3 days/week the smell was funky. I tried to wash it with dish soap + water, the smell persisted. I then let it sit in dish soap + water for ~2hrs. When it took it out, the click wheel protector fell out!

Too bad - I liked the fit and the ease of use.

    Screen Cover

    • Written by from Guelph

Trust me, from someone with more scratches on his Ipod screen than he would like. Never buy anything that does not cover the screen, it scratches really fast. This is a cool case in principle, but you need to protect the entire Ipod.

Honestly there should be something to hold it in! I love my green nano and not going to let it fall. If they REALLY want people to buy it they should really but a strape or something to keep it secure, a cover for the scroll bar and screen and to really make it a good buy WATER PROOF!

Arm band is nice... comfortable...functional... EXCEPT for the cheap lil round balls of velcro they use intermittenly on the band. I run alot .. lift weights.. and most exercises release the band and velcro comes undone! For 29 bucks , its a real downer and will not recommend this!!!

    new nano doesn't fit armband

    • Written by from miami

I guess I was expecting too much. I bought an armband when I bought my first nano about a year ago. The smell was a problem, but I just throw it in the wash with the clothes I worked out in. Well that nano gave up the ghost a few months ago and apple replaced it for me under warranty. Because the older nano was slightly bigger, the new nano easily slips out of the armband. I eventually put the nano in the "skin" I had, then fit it into the armband. Even then I had to cut the skin a little so the wheel was accessible. I'll be buying a new band after I do some research. Don't want to make another mistake.

    Not good for exercise

    • Written by from Scottsdale

Bought this product awhile ago. Like many of the other reviews have said, the velcro gets weak in about one month. Plus the neoprene starts to smell after awhile and no matter how much you wash it (or use bleach) the smell comes back as soon as it gets warm with body heat. (Kind of like receiver gloves in football). If you are NOT going to use this for exercise it would be fine. Also cannot use this with the Nike+ sensor. (I "modified" it with scissors).

    Not so hot

    • Written by from Baltimore

Come on apple, you guys came up a little short here. In less then a year, the velcro has losts its grip and the dumb thing keeps falling off my arm. Install another strap around the larger strap so the armband functions properly over a longer period of time.

    Need adjustments

    • Written by

I bought this few days ago and it doesn't fit my arms properly. It's too short and I am not fat or a professional bodybuilder. It comes in just one size and it seems that is made for childrem or woman. Come on Apple, can't you make one for man?

    Could be a lot better...

    • Written by from Wichita

At first, I loved this armband. It's sleek, stylish and very comfortable to work out in. But after a couple months, the velcro dots start losing their grip and the plastic dial busts out. I expected more from an Apple product. Will probably buy a new one, but not happy to replace it so soon.

    Needs some revisions

    • Written by

I have the gray arm band and it gets dirty so fast! I've washed it a couple of times .. but had no luck getting it clean. Also they should make different sizes, like S, M, L and XL ... or even a belt clip or some sort like the first iPod Mini. The problem I have is that my arm is too big and it does not fit anymore, so I put the around my forearm. Also, the plastic that covers the controls is coming unglued and cracking.
