    Highly recommend this

    • Written by from Billings

Honestly, I am quite puzzled to see so many negative reviews. I absolutely love this product. I am on my first replacement sensor and have been using the Nike + system for 3 1/2 years. My best advice for those who complain about inaccuracy is to make sure to "accurately" calibrate the sensor. For best results, go around a track. I originally began running to lose weight and now I am training for a marathon. This has been a great tool for me to utilize the data and train accordingly. It's amazing to see where I started and how far I have come. Also, I have had maybe 2 instances where I have lost my workout data. Make sure you have enough power to complete your workout or your data will be lost. Also make sure your computer is completely charged prior to sending your workout to Nike +. Other than my own stupidity and user errors, this is a lean, mean, fighting machine.

I have the Nike shoes with the sensor at the bottom of them but for some reason on the app it keeps telling me to walk around to activate it I don't know what to do or what I can do to fix the problem

Amazing Product For i-Pod Nano or i-Pod Touch

    • Written by from Albuquerque

This is an amazing product if you have the right i-Pod. It works flawlessly and it is so simple, a caveman could use it! Great product, it's worth the money for sure so get out and get yourself one, but only if you have the right i-Pod! Remember it is not compatible with i-Phone, which is the only bummer.

Replacing my sensor after a year and a half

    • Written by from Round Rock

I am surprised to see reviews were people are getting so few uses out of the sensor before the battery is running out. I wonder if it is a shelf life issue because I think the sensors are active when you get them. I just wanted to say I have been using my Nike + iPod for a year and a half. I have logged close to two hundred miles with over 70 runs on the original sensor.

Still going strong after 700 miles

    • Written by from Beaverton

I have been using the Nike+ system for a year this April and couldn't be more pleased. As long as you read the directions carefully you should not have any issues. I have run over 700 miles with one sensor. My shoes have been water logged, muddy, and close to frozen but the sensor keeps going strong.

    Works as Advertised

    • Written by from LOS ANGELES

This works great just as promised and I love that it uploads my running data to Nike. The first one I ordered arrived dead, so the good people at Apple customer service sent me a replacement for free.
I don't think it is a big deal to have to replace this yearly. My first one lasted almost a year and a half, and I never took it out and "put it to sleep" as recommended. The benefits of seeing your run times and distances coupled with the FREE Nike Plus website, more than makes up for the 19$ you may have to spend to replace this.

Love the Nike + iPod system

    • Written by from University Place

Love this system. It really helps motivate me to workout. I have the iPod Touch so I only need the sensor. I have had my sensor for a year and it just died today - not too bad it lasted longer then I would have thought. I will buy another one and keep on going!

    Excellent

    • Written by from San Diego

I really enjoy the way this product works. I recently found out that if you are currently listening to a podcast or audio book, another option becomes available when you go to the Nike Workout called: "Now Playing." I had assumed you could only listen to playlists/music when working out, so I was happy to learn about this option.

A great product that works seamlessly and is very user friendly!

    Great Runner's helper!

    • Written by from Los Angeles

Bought it with a new pair of Nike's. I am running about 20-25 miles a week and have been using it since late November 09. It's very accurate and now that I am in my 200 miles still works great. I switch it on when I am getting ready to run and it's recognized quickly by my iPod mini and switch it off after my runs. My wife has it too and it works great with her iPhone 3GS. Syncs up wonderfully to the NIke site and gives you a lot of great information. Just make sure you are switching it on and off as well as removing the transmitter from your iPod to not drain the battery. It's really easy!

I love this product! Just some advice though...

    • Written by from APO

I would read the instruction book in detail to learn how to work all the functions. Also, it says it has over 1000 hours of active time, but this is not just when you run. The sensor is on by default, which makes 1000 hours about a month and a half if you never turn the sensor off. You can do this by holding down the button on the sensor for 3 seconds. If you turned it off, and try to do a workout, it will eventually say it cannot find a sensor, and it flashes no sensor in the top left corner. Hope this helps!

I would still buy this and it is totally worth the price!!!

    Great product.

    • Written by from Lake Jackson

I know lots of people have had battery problems, but I've had mine for over a year and it has worked great. I don't turn off the sensor between runs, but I also do not use my running shoes unless I'm running. (Walking in my case) The cool factor and the Nike web site has encouraged me on and changed the way I workout. Thanks!!

Make sure the sensor is linked

    • Written by from LONG BEACH

if the sensor all of a sudden stops working, it may not be a dead battery. Just happened to me. I thought the battery died. But actually, it must have been my iphone 3gs as I started having problems with the volume and shutdown buttons while I was jogging and had the Nike app open. So to resolve the phone issues, I went to the apple store. Luckily I was able to get a new iphone (since it was still under warranty). then tried my nike+ again but the sensor wasn't working. I went to the settings on my iphone. scrolled down to the Nike setting. selected Sensor and even though it said "sensor is already linked" I hit the "link new" button. This solved the problem and I'm able to use my sensor again. Havent gone for a run yet so hopefully it isnt a weakening battery after all. Whatever issues I had with my iphone (don't wanna get into it), it must have somehow unlinked my sensor. glad i tried this before getting a new sensor. I got the sensor and started using it in June 2010 so it would have been very disappointing if the battery was already out since I only run about 1-2 times a week for about 40 minutes each time. Just try it!

    great addition to iPhone 3GS

    • Written by from East Wenatchee

I bought my sensor and received it early this month (Jan. 2010) and have used it for six workouts, and I think it does a great job. I have not had any problems with syncing the device to my iPhone and I like the option to have spoken feedback whenever I pause my music or the workout. I do not own a pair of nike+ shoes so I also bought a pouch to strap to my laces, and the sensor works in the very cold, in snow, and when it's wet. I look forward to my workouts now because I know exactly how far I have traveled. Thanks apple and nike!

    Changes the Way I Run!

    • Written by from Elizabeth City

I love the Nike+ sensor. I have used it in my new 6G Nano for 3 weeks now, and it is perfectly reliable. It has completely changed the way I run. The competitive aspect of using the Nike+ website, coupled with the fact that I am no longer chained to pre-defined running tracks, makes this product leave me with the drive to run one more mile, and the drive to hit the street more often.

I love the ability to hit my sleep/wake button and here instant vocal feedback about the distance I've run, the pace I'm on, the total time I've run, and how close to I am to my set goal.

I have also left it in the shoe without using the sleep button or doing anything else special. It goes to sleep on its own, and it just works. Runners... seriously... do it.

I totally fell in love with it :)

    • Written by from Wardenburg

I bought this sensor a few days ago and I just love it. I can listen to my music, while my Ipod and my sensor keeps track of my running.

That means, that I don't have to pay attention to my watch anymore, because I just select the 30 minutes workout and my Ipod tells me, when I have to turn around.

    Awesome little thing

    • Written by from Jerome

Just slip it in the shoe laces and run. Syncs with the iPod in four steps, at least it did for me. Very accurate on tracking my distance, and I love seeing the results. Other reviews say you have to buy a new one every year, which I wouldn't mind. This motivates me to run even more. So it'll help me to stay running when I'm not with my friend anymore. A little tip for everyone; run in the morning.

    My favorite Running accessory

    • Written by from Minneapolis

I have been running with the Nike + for over a year and I LOVE it! The most important thing to me is that it motivates me to run faster and longer. There are a lot of goal setting tools online that I have used some and plan to use more in the future. I have found that sometimes it tells me how far I've gone and sometimes it is silent- I have yet to figure out why. Generally I have found that it works the way I expect it to.
