I love the Nike+ concept, but the sensor life issue is really driving me nuts. I am on the third sensor this year. They seem to last me about 3-4 months and then they die. I run 6 days a week and would have thought that this product would last a bit longer. Hey apple - either refine the product or drop the price of a replacement-$19 plus shipping is a little much.

Nike + ipod is a great product with one major flaw, but it has a simple fix. Just make the sensor with a replacable battery! I have spread the word about how great this product is, but how absurd that the battery lasts only about a year or less before you have to buy a whole new unit. I did try to buy the sensor only, but no apple stores carry it.By the time I pay shipping I only save $5 over the full kit price. Seems out of whack!

I love my nike+ sensor and website where I can track all my runs. Overall, a great product. The downside is the short battery life. I could not believe this thing is disposable. You have to throw the old one away and buy a new one at $19.00 a pop. Hey Apple, how about a new version with a means to replace the battery???

I first used my Nike Sensor last week and loved it. However, after 4 runs (about five hours of use), the sensor battery is dead. Can you imagine?? Now I need to buy a new sensor. Technology is great.....when it works.

Battery life is really limited. I got the kit for Christmas and by March the sensor battery was dead, despite me putting it to sleep after every run (3x/week). I wonder if some of them ship "on," because it seems like a consistent problem.

The display shows kilometers though the voice and computer are correct in miles. Many of us are waiting for a software fix.

Just ran 6 mi with a friend same start same finish time but my ipod show 17 seconds shorter than hers. Timing it right now with my own watch and after 26 minutes it is 6 seconds slower!

After calibrating twice , the distance measured is always around 6% off of actual.

If you don't care about acurate pace or distance this will work just fine for you!

I've had no problems with the product but I must complain about a replacement sensor costing nineteen dollars when you the entire thing cost thrity dollars. It almost makes more sense to but everything again. This price point should be lowered.

I have been using the Nike + iPod Sensor for a month along with my Iphone 3GS. The most important problem I have is connectivity. Before I start a workout, the application allegedly detects the sensor. But once I start the workout the applications fails to measure my speed or distance. Apparently it looses connectivity. This happened to me already several times. An easy fix is to double check your sensor is working once you start running, but this is annoying as I use another application to train. Moreover, the nike webpage gives you very little info about the actual speed and pace during your workout.

The first sensor I got lasted about 6 months,
second one a few weeks , I finally got good about turning it off completely when not running, the third sensor broke after a couple months, it didnt even give the low battery signal. Im about to get my 4th - havent given up yet.

I really wanted to love this thing the way that I love my macbook pro and my iphone but I can't. There are times when it is hit or miss and I constantly walk around in circles trying to calibrate it and nothing happens. Additionally the battery life on this thing is something that needs to be addressed. I can deal with buying a new one yearly but surely there has got to be a someway apple can put an LED on there to let you know the battery is dying or running low. I also don't like the on off button simply because I can't tell if the thing is on or off. Again, an LED light or an ON OFF switch would be more user friendly. That said, when you can get it to work it does it's job and does it pretty well. I just expect it to be more simple from the company that told me to THINK DIFFERENT.
