    This dock does not work for the new nano! i bought it and my new nano doesnt fit! make sure to get the new dock.

    Poor Design

    Bought the nano dock as well as nano tubes protectors.
    Nano ipod will not seat properly in dock if the nano tube protector is installed.

    Apples ASKING 4 A LOT OF $$$

    Before getting a dock for your nano consider shopping around for a cheaper dock that will get u your money's worth. I paid 30$$ canadian for a dock that not only plugs into the computer but the wall meaning you can charge your ipod without your computer being on. More for less- ..... makes sense to me...my 2 cents....THE NANO on the other hand ROCKS!!!

    I have a universal dock that I got for my mini and used it constantly. I wouldn't buy this dock because with a tube on to protect your ipod you can't use it at all. It will fit in the mini's dock though. I also think that the universal dock is a better buy. Let's face it, next year (or sooner) apple will come out with a smaller better product. Then you havde to buy a new dock. However, if you have the universal dock you just get a new top (the nano comes with one). I'd buy the universal, but the dock is stylish and functional.

    This is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS

    The nano dock is worthless waste of $30.00. all it is is a hunk of plastic that makes your nano look good while charging. All you do is connect it to your USB and let your nano sit up while it charges and updates from itunes.

    Astounded that the Nano doc does not come with a cable....

    I intended to use my original cable for traveling. No where in the description did it state the doc would come incomplete and that I would have to spend another $20 for a cable. Up until now I've been very pleased with Apple, however they were not very forthright in this situation. Very disappointed.

    Overpriced

    This item is WAY too overpriced, all it does (as previously stated) is make your ipod look pretty, all of the same ports are on your ipod, and they provide the same functionality as this would. If you order this all you get is a nearly useless *pretty* box of wires.

    well, having the dock is kind of pointless because you may think you can just walk into your home or office and just plug in place your ipod in the dock. Wrong. The computer has to be on and ready which makes it a little bit of a hassle if your not planning on using your computer. Why coulnt there just be an adapter, to make it easier for those who travel. which brings up traveling. If your going to travel your going to need your computer to charge your iPod, which makes no sense because you can just listen to your songs in iTunes if your bringing your computer. On the other hand, its very stylish but yet you get a little white box for $30. If you do order one though, dont be suprised when it arrives in a liitle air tight bag in a big box.....

    so all it does is hold it? you just set it in there and it charges...i mean you hook up the dock to the given usb plug and then just set the nano in there?

    Is It Really Worth It?

    My Ipod Nano Dock is a great way to show off my Ipod but it is not worth it. I can do the exact same thing with my computer/charger adapter.

    Get the Universal Dock

    All I can say is this, if you really want a dock you should buy Apple's universal dock, because if and when you upgrade you iPod, you won't have to buy a new dock, you will just have to insert the new adapter. That's just my $.02

    Looks but limited...

    I concur with others who feel slightly ripped by the lack of cables and functionality. While other docks have power and even S-cable capacity, this one only has the line out. The box size is deceiving as it looks like it could hold cables. The point of buying it was to easily move from home to office. The Canadian 39.00 price is questionable. However, it does look nice sitting on the desk.

    Paint it black

    I see a white dock and I want to paint it black.
    Uhm, hello? The black Nano is one of the sexiest pieces of tech to hit the seen in decades. So what's up with this white stuff? Come on guys, we need black docks for our black iPods. It just look shoddy otherwise.
    Also, as the dock is purely an aesthetic "extra", I feel it needs to go the whole nine yards in aesthetic appeal. A L.E.D. mounted on the underside to give it an indirect glow would be a very nice touch.
    Come on Apple, do what you do best. Give us something cool.
    Oh, and hey, if you're gonna charge 30 buck for the thing, would it kill you to throw in a cable?

    this produt is not worth the money at all. i think that you shouldnt buy this product because first of all wen i firs saw it i thought that it was a plug in for a power outlet but you just use the the usb cable so why do you need it if you already have a usb cable...this just makes your ipod look good. but get a nano they are awesome i got mine yesterday 4g black.

    It's ok but not worth $30

    The dock is nice looking and all but once again apple has overpriced it. The only thing I really use it for is so it won't scratch while it's charging my iPod. And if your a traveler I would not recomend it unless you have a laptop.

    $30 is totally overprice. it doesn't support in/out audio connector so that you can listen with speakers. if you already a dock for previous ipod, just use it. it works fine. don't waste your money. however it's cute, nice design!

    Well this is pretty nice, your ipod isn't laying around while its charging, but $30?! As always, apple overpriced it...I suggest cutting a hole in the bottom of the tissue box. it does about the same and its free.

    a dock is good because ur ipod wouldnt get scratched and u dont have to hold it.......BUT u dont need 1 at all its almost useless (other than reasons stated + more) U DONT NEED 1 AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
