$30 is totally overprice. it doesn't support in/out audio connector so that you can listen with speakers. if you already a dock for previous ipod, just use it. it works fine. don't waste your money. however it's cute, nice design!

I have a universal dock that I got for my mini and used it constantly. I wouldn't buy this dock because with a tube on to protect your ipod you can't use it at all. It will fit in the mini's dock though. I also think that the universal dock is a better buy. Let's face it, next year (or sooner) apple will come out with a smaller better product. Then you havde to buy a new dock. However, if you have the universal dock you just get a new top (the nano comes with one). I'd buy the universal, but the dock is stylish and functional.

Just to correct some of the other reviews...

You can charge AND use the stereo out feature at the same time. Just load up I-Tunes, eject the I-Pod from within I-Tunes, and you're good to go.

As for the Dock itself, it's hard to rate something like this. On one hand, it does exactly what it's supposed to. It provides a stylish way to charge the I-Pod, while providing access to stereo-out. So, if that was all, it would get 5 stars.

On the other hand, something as basic as stereo-out functionality should be included with the Nano, NOT something you have to shell out $30+tax+s/h to get. The price is the main issue. That's why I'm rating it only 3 stars.

You either pony up the cash, get a nice charger, and the stereo out...or you save your money and look elsewhere.

i got my ipod nano the first week it came out, along with the dock. about a week ago, i got my ipod nano tubes, and now i can't put my nano on the dock without taking the tubes off. PLEASE MAKE THE DOCK WIDER

I like this product. Sure, its not completely necessary but it does make things easier. Whenever i sync my ipod, it would always fall off the table because the cord weighs more than my nana. This fixes that problem. It also makes charging easier; just put it in and go. It looks nice, too. Its a good thing to have.

I use the XtremeMac TuffWrap to protect my iPod nano. This dock does not allow the Nano to be fitted in the slot with the XtremeMac TuffWrap protection on the Nano. To put my Nano in the dock, I have to remove the XtremeMac TuffWrap protection.

This is unacceptable (at least to me).

My Nano is most vulnerable to accidental drops when it is standing in the precarious slant position in the dock. By requiring me to remove the XtremeMac TuffWrap protection in this vulnerable position, this is removing protection from the Nano when it most needs it.

The dock is like a must you need to have one of these because its so useful......i use mine all the time and take it with me when i travel to plug into and stero..computer and to charge....this thing is a must buyer and its only 30 bucks!

My Ipod Nano Dock is a great way to show off my Ipod but it is not worth it. I can do the exact same thing with my computer/charger adapter.
