    Pros and Cons

    Written by AP

The socks are cute, but they have their ups and their downs.
    Pros:
    -cute
    -match ALMOST every outfit
-offer protection (not much, but enough for me)
-great for winter when your iPod gets cold then gets your hand cold. Not anymore!
-hide your iPod when you don't want it to be seen

    Cons:
    -expensive
    -don't offer hardcore protection
-get messed up when they've been washed and dried
    -not very practical

Although I like these, they are a waste of money; especially with the economy like it is right now.

    Pretty good- room for improvement

When I got my classic ipod, I also got these apple ipod socks to protect my ipod at the pool when lounging. But every time I want to change the song I have to take it out and do it all over again. Also, with a nano, you have to put it in upside down. The socks are cute and fun but don't have the protection element my ipod needs.

    Useful

I have been using these socks for a while on my 5th gen 60gb black ipod with great results seeing as I really abuse my old ipod. I found the socks don't really protect against everything but they will stop harsh things like keys, coins and other touch metal object but the socks themselves do scratch the metal backs to the ipods and don't stop small marks to screens and such.

I have recently upgraded to a 80gb classic and will carry on using these to protect my ipods but they are a little overpriced for a life span of a few months of constant use but you can't expect something made of fabric to protect 100% against everything.

In my opinion I suggest using these if you carry your ipod in your pocket but if you want quick access to all the buttons and such then you will be better off buying a real case that gives you access to all your options, buttons and such. I use my ipods a lot and I'm not to worried about them getting marked or damaged to much.

This is a great product if you like to listen to group of songs for awhile becasue it gets annyoing taking the ipod out and putting it back in. Its also great that they come in colora but if you change the song on your ipod alot you would have to keep taking it in and out then this is not the product for you.

    Stylish and Modern, But...

    Written by TC from Sacramento

I hope this helps in your decision to buy this product:

Pros: There are a number of different, colorful socks to slip over your ipod, depending on what you may be wearing that day. If you are in a hurry to get somewhere, and you have a tendency to be slightly clumsy with your Ipod (like me) you just slip on the sock and sprint out the door. I find the vibrant colors with their accents at the top of the sock modern, youthful, and very stylish. Did i mention they stretch to fit the nanos (except for the brand-new ones that just came out this year) the classic ipods, AND the iphone and ipod touch. Bliss, right?

Cons: Well, Despite everything previously mentioned, There are a few cons to these socks. I guess it always bothered me slightly that everytime you want to change the song, you have to keep removing the sock and then putting it back on. However, I used to have a classic Ipod and I eventually got used to the general location of where the click wheel should be, so I learned to change the volume, re-wind, fast-forward, and pause the Ipod without the need to constantly remove the sock. But just so recently, I received the Ipod touch as a gift, and there is no click wheel. And perhaps that may seem frustrating to some. So i only recommend this product if you have the classic ipods, or the not-so-new nanos/mini's. If you, like me, just got the Ipod touch/Iphone for your birthday, for the holidays, or just for the heck of it, I'd get that other protective case that still shows the screen, but hugs the ipod and keeps it sleek and slim without all the unwanted-bulk.

There can be 2 different views to these....they are stylish and nice, but they don't work the best for the 3rd generation nanos (or any other ones). The only ipods they really work for are the 1st & 2nd generations of the nano and the 1st generaation of shuffle. They are also useful for carrying other things like cellphones,or other little items.I like them because they are use able for other things which it would be more useful for.

    Good and Bad

This product for an Ipod is a great idea. It keeps your Ipod snug, keeps it from getting scratched when you drop it, and also protects it from sliding out considering that it's not very easy to get back out. But on the negative side, it's pretty pricy ($30), It does take a while to get out, what if you wanted to listen to a song and your battery has only enough juice for one more song and the next song already starts?, and it also doesn't let you click the buttons while it's inside the safety sock. Other than the negatives, this is a great item!

These socks are cute, warm and sylish, but they can cause some problems too. When my daughter bought them for me for my birthday, the first thing i thouhgt was, "wow, these are cute!" but now after having them for a while, i can see their defults...
Its hard to get your iPod out when you need it. As you continue to use them, they get old and ragged, so after about a year of use, they need to be replaced.
    But, they are cute...

    Work with iPhone.

Written by CH from Fort Wayne

    Oct 25, 2007

I had these for my iPod video, the first one and these were pretty awesome. Then I got rid of that and got my 4 GB iPhone (yeah before the price drop) and these work pretty well with the iphone. The only problem is a little bit of the iphone sticks out at the top of the sock. Before I though about using these for my iPhone I was using a sunglass case to hold my iPhone so this is a step up from that. To sum this review up, good for iPods if you don't mind not seeing the screen and ok for iPhone if you don't mind the little bit of the phone hanging out at the top.

    iPod nano generation 3

Written by SP from WAKE FOREST

The iPod sock is cute, colorful, and really soft. The only thing that I disliked, was that my iPod nano generation 3, sunk to the bottom, and the sock does not fit, like I thought it would. Length wise, it struggles to stay in the sock. Although on every other iPod it works out great! It works well to keep my iPod safe and protected

They have bright colors and are soft to hold, but you can't see the screen or use the click wheel, so when you want to do something as simple as lower the volume, you have to take the iPod out of the case.

These are really nice and they work perfectly. The only thing is you can make your own for cheaper I found out so if you can't knit i guess you should get these but they are way cheaper to make.

Very useful, but whats the point?

    Written by CH from Bluffton

    Jun 20, 2007

I got these for christmas along with my new iPod nano. I use them all the time and coordinate the colors with my outfit. But besides all this, whats the point? In order to use your iPod you have to take it out of the sock, adjust the sound, song, etc., then put it back in the sock and stuff it in your pocket or purse, where nobody can see it!!! I think it's just easier to keep it in your pocket.

The nice thing about the socks is that they look nice and that they come in different colors. The bad thing about the socks is that you'r iPod could fall out esaily. From a 1 out of 10, i'll give it a 7.

C'mon man, its a sock, not a case. If your clumsy it will fallout of the top, so dont buy it if your that. Not really cheap enough for my tatse so i bought one off of a freind for five bucks and its worth about that. So just remember its a sock, thats sort of a case. (Works best for video)

There ok but they only protect against scratches nothing major. But it's kind of sad that apple can sell 6 stupid socks for $30.00 I would use the socks on my feet instead of these!
