good but should be a way to buy them single
Written by PV from VIRGINIA WATER

its really a good thing, cause it helps you when you want to travel but i think that you should also have each adapter for sell separately, there's times that you only need one and you have to buy the hole kit

Great Buy
Written by SB from Warrenville

I lived all last year as an exchange student in finland, and bought this just before leaving. I never had any troubles, they connected anywhere I traveled, and the battery life sustained as when I first got it!!! Awesome and great. Taking your ipod on a trip is already a great step, but you need this!

Worth Every Penny
Written by JD from Middlebury

This product worked great in Romania i was able to charge my macbook and ipod without any worries. It didn't take any longer to charge and with the charger that came with the computer i didn't have to worry about the difference in voltage. Even if you are only going to use one of the adapters 39.00 was so much less money that buying a new computer.

Planes, trains, automobiles ?
Written by MG from Voorhees

Wonder why the travel adapter kit does not have ways of adapting to Planes, trains, or automobiles (inverter).
I would find this very useful.
I have the kit, but it only helps once you are there. Not for the very long flights.67 of 99 people found this useful

Works Fine
Written by DM from Oceanside

People mentioning anything about a convertor are misinformed. I am in Germany as I type this and the product works perfectly. 100-240V means you DO NOT NEED a convertor. The only downside to this product is the price and you most likely do not need all these plugs. I used the same one for Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, and Hungary, and a different one for England.
Anybody talking about converting or the frying of your ipod is misinformed about voltage. Good Product.

This should be renamed Capitalist World Travel Adapter Kit....
Written by RM
Jul 19, 2006
Sure, its pretty and white and seems like a great accessory to my ibook BUT its name is misleading. Africa is part of the world and if they are going to name it the world adapter kit then it should indeed include the WORLD! I took this kit to South Africa with me and I discovered that this kit was worthless. Apple should consider adding the South African outlet configuration to this kit among many other configurations this kit lacks.

I bought this adaptor set to use in Sri Lanka, not an easy place to get items for. It worked with their current. It charged a lot slower than in the US but a slow charge is better than no charge. Other adaptors specifically for Sri Lanka didn't work but this one did. Worth the $$.

DO NOT BUY JUST FOR JAPANESE ADAPTOR
Written by BC from Weston
Jul 6, 2006
I am moving to Japan and thought i needed a Japanese adaptor however, the N.America and Japanese plugs are the same so if you think you need an adaptor for Japan, you don't. The book or writes ups don't say this, only the directions inside the box. I give it one star for not being clear...even the guy at the store thought it was a seperate adaptor!

Travel Perfectionist
Written by DO from Yuma

Based on my readings before I purchased, I was under the impression that the Kit included a small case to hold these little pricy devices. Well, I was sadly mistaken which made my purchase less fun. The quality of the adapters is very good and they attach to the power adapter perfectly. It provides my traveling MacBook Pro with a truly professional look and I like that. Until Apple allows us to purchase the European grounded power cord, this remains to be the cleanest solution.

Good, but ok

This work great, and the fact that they integrate into the white power blocks is fantastic. My issue with this set is that they only give you one of each, which is understandable, they dont know which one you will need. but what if i want two european ones? id have to buy to of these sets, 80 bucks for two, thats rediculous, they should all be available seperatly.

Great

I think that these are great. And too all those that think that this is just a name brand, then go buy something else from the apple store cheaper. Also, i have traveled all over the world, many times, and usually my adapters heat up, but not these. Great deal!

I've already used 3 of the 6. I don't worry where I'm going, I know I have the right adapter in my bag. The kit is so well packaged that I always carry it with me when I'm travelling.

Great but expensive!
Written by MF from New Vernon

This is a great product. It is expenive but everything from Mac is a little over priced. It worked great with my many trips this year to France, Iceland, Australia and Czech Republic. It worked great in all of the countries on my Powerbook G4. But these because my friend bought a 10$ plug adapter and it fried his IPOD nano in France. Get these it is worth the price to get these rather than having to buy a new computer or IPOD.

They're ripping you off, Again
Written by JZ from Springfield

Though this product is nice, its completely unesscary unless you want to waste your money on a name brand. You can get an international adaptor in any electronic store for the same price that works with your cell phone, iPods, hair dryer, and anything else tht needs electricity. Please, they're just trying to rip you off again when the original charger should have come with the iPod any way!

Works Well, Just Know What You're Buying
Written by MT from Coquitlam

This works very well to change my adaptor to whatever country I am in. I'm glad it's small and easy to pack. It is unfortunate in some circumstances that you can't just have the one or two you need only but are force to have them all. I'm still giving it 5 stars because it's not the product that's bad but the packaging that makes you get them all.
It doesn't come with an adapter because when you bought your iBook, PowerBook, and iPod, you ALREADY SHOULD HAVE AN ADAPTER! These plugs were made to go with it. If you're missing an adapter, go buy one to replace it.
Anyone's who's "fried their iPod" was because they didn't take the care to read the product they were buying and to check if it was compatible. It's not like you go to any country without checking if a Visa or vaccinations are required now, do you? So check this product and make sure it's ok with whatever you have. If the sales person was incompetent and told you it was ok when it wasn't, it's your own fault for not doing your homework and putting so much trust in a stranger who's there to make some money.

Overall, I think this is a nice product, it works. I do however, wish that you could buy the one that you need. Such as, I travel to Italy a lot, so therefore I should buy a european plug. So it most likely would cost 1/6 of the price than the whole kit.

I bought this kit before my month-long trip to England. The adapter worked very well for me. However, I wish they had been cheaper. Also, I wish that I could have just bought the one that I needed rather than the entire pack
