Not as good as I thought it'd be

I've been using mophie products for awhile now. I love them. I don't love the space pack, however. The case itself is just like any other juice pack air (slightly heavier and longer).

While the device was able to hold up to 32gb of storage (actually 31.9 because of formatting), mophie for whatever reason limited the size of a file that can be transferred to the space pack to just 4gb. I was shocked that there was a file size limit in the first place. It's completely ridiculous if you ask me. So for those of you who have big video files that you wanted to put on the space pack, sorry to say that it is not going to work.

The other issue I had was with photo sync. When you turn it on, it syncs all the photos that are currently on the phone to the space pack, you can watch the progress in the space app. According to the user manual from mophie's website, the space pack is supposed to automatically sync photos taken on your phone every time the space app is opened. However, not once did the space pack ever automatically sync new pictures taken on my phone. I would have to turn off/on the photo sync switch to get it to finally sync. Never would it do it automatically and that's the whole point of the device. Mophie advertises that the mophie will automatically sync your pictures and videos into the space pack. Yeah, it doesn't do it. Sorry mophie, but this product was poorly executed.

    Not worth the money

    • Written by from Scarsdale

I bought mine in April 2014. At the time, it would take my iPhone 5S from 7% to 80-85%. As of today (9/7/14), it will only charge it from 5% to 45-50%.

I've also had problems transferring movies from iTunes to it (you cannot transfer video, music, images or docs to it from the phone).

All in all, a disappointment for as much as it costs. Save your money and just get the $80 battery pack - it still won't take your phone's charge back to 100% from 0%, but you won't be as mad as you would spending $100 more for this model.
