    It doesn't work

    • Written by from Salem

Got the printer and set up wasn't bad, but it doesn't print correctly. Parts of words, parts of email is all I get. Sent email to EPSON customer support and got response that they'd get back to me within 24 hours. That was over 4 days ago. This is a big disappointment. Now going to call so I can listen to music for half an hour and hope to get some support.

This printer is absolutely amazing. You pay a fantastic price for something of this high level of quality. It is easy to set up, easy to learn to use, and makes a great addition to any household. It's key lies in it's versatility. It has a number of capabilities and functions that make this Epson printer a highlight, and it truly stands out above any other printer out there. The Epson XP-610 is the MUST HAVE printer.

Works fantastic for home, school, office, and artistic or photographical works.

It's the printer from Office Space

    • Written by from Parkland

This is the perfect printer for you if you love buying printer ink. It goes through ink on an almost weekly basis on moderate household use. And it won't let you print even in black and white if one of the colors is out. You may dismiss all of this as user error or the wrong expectations. That's fine then you will be even more disappointed by the print quality itself. Streaks, alignment, etc. You can run the maintenance programs as many times as you like--but be careful because you will run out of ink--and it won't help. Best part of owning this printer was recreating the scene from Office Space with it. That was almost worth it.

    Less than excited

I bought this printer at the Apple store for my IPad. I thought if I purchased an AirPrint printer from Apple, it would surely be a winner. I was wrong.
First of all, I between printing sessions, I have to reset my router for it to find my Epson 610XP printer. That is annoying.
Secondly, I am limited to choosing a wireless printer, period. I am unable to choose a paper size, unable to choose a picture size, unable to choose upper or lower tray. I am unable to edit anything about a photo. All of the support info is for Windows or Mac. Where is all the I for for IOS7 IPAD??
I have spent hours trying to figure this out and no doubt will have to spend hours more before I will be able to take advantage of all the bells and whistles this printer is supposed to supply.

However it is fairly complicated and should come with a manual. The videos were good but not complete.

    Noisy, ink-eater, phantom behavior

    • Written by from Ridgewood

I've had several Epson printers over decades and always been pleased. This machine is dreadful. The paper loader and receiver are inconveniently designed. It's very, very loud -- it makes uneven, jerky sounds while printing. It will suddenly, randomly make loud mechanical noises. Copy quality is mediocre. If a color cartridge runs out, you can't print black and white. It runs through cartridges very rapidly and is therefore more expensive than anticipated.
There is NO reason to own this copier.

    Problems Connecting

    • Written by from Lehi

I bought this printer with my Mac and set it up on the same day. First problem was with the Epson website not allowing me to download the driver. Luckily I had an external disc drive. For the month that I had this printer I was never once able to print from my iPad2. The printer could never pick up the signal. The main issue I had with this printer, and ultimately why I returned it and bought an HP, was every single time I tried to print, the printer wouldn't receive the signal. I had to reset the printer with my wifi password each time. Beyond frustrating. This printer has potential and has a great design, but the connectivity issues were too much to handle.

Epson Expression XP-610 - worth every penny (if not more)!

    • Written by from Chicago

I’ve never had a printer that was pleasant to use, so I was wary of purchasing this printer. My last was ‘wireless’ and sucked even more than my previously owned horrendous, wired models. But Apple has yet to do me wrong; every product I’ve purchased is superb. So if anybody sells wireless printers that worked, it’d be Apple.

That faith in Apple was justified: the XP-610 produces excellent, surprisingly fast-paced, high-quality printing, from duplex office-paper to photo-grade prints for framing. It even prints on optical discs with proper topside-substrate, producing dang-near professional-grade results!

WIFI setup was painless – pleasant even! The printer’s integrated digital display sets up the wireless connection, preventing futzing about in disorderly pages accessible only via seemingly arbitrarily assigned IP addresses; you needn’t even touch your computer while initializing WIFI functionality. Total setup time? Under ten minutes!

Scanning/copying is also high quality, though not the best I’ve used. However, ‘the best’ costs up to ten times as much as the XP-610, so price considered, scanning is well above average. Sketchy/unintuitive/jam-prone paper loading and still-more archaic ink cartridge installation procedures are thankfully both completely absent.

Add the ability to Airprint, plus remote print via email from any internet connection using Epson’s free remote print services, and this printer becomes an absolute *steal* at this price! Proof so far: zero errors/bugs/problems/’issues’. Zero!

I’m not Epson-shilling here either; initially, I was about 500% skeptical. Every printer I’ve owned (wired or wireless, Epson models included) was a nightmarish hassle. But here, my belief that Apple sells only those third-party accessories of high enough quality to properly complement my iPhone/several Macs was trust well placed. All in all, I recommend you buy this printer if it fits your needs. Small-businesses/self-employed entrepreneurs/home-users (I’m all three) won’t be disappointed in price or functionality! Bravo!

    So far great purchase

I purchased this printer yesterday. The installation was easy and went well. It prints great and the speed is average. If it still works well in a few months I would rate it higher. So far so good.

I have had HP printers in the past and decided to try this one based on good recommendations on other web sites. I can't get the printer to connect with my MacBook wirelessly to print. Its constantly offline and no amount of resetting and troubleshooting has worked. If you are like me and don't have too much time to fight with a printer - I do not recommend. Going back to HP at least I never had connection problems with HP. One star for convenient size.

    No printing

Bought this printer because my other Epson printer stopped allowing printing from my ipad2. A waste of money as far as I am concerned. Received it Wednesday, took it out of the box Saturday and after 10 hours, 3 or 4 phone calls, still not printing. Very FRUSTRATING. Apple store, Epson technical support, Netgear technical support all unable. To get this printer up and printing from ipad2!!!!!
