Making my fourth visit to the apple store, yes 4th. Because all the mophie juice pack air i had bought had problems! the first one had a problem with the Volume Button ( Black-Returned).

( FUN FACT) the red special edition case seem to all have problems charging to 100%. I charged it for 3 hours and i seem to get only 80% charge ( did this many times even when my phone was completely turned off) and this would be the second and third red mophie juice pack air i received. Another thing on the red chargers i noticed when it would be completely charged ( all 4 lights solid) i would disconnect it from the outlet and i reconnected the charger again and the 4th light would start blinking again as if it still needed to be charged, called mophie told them about the issue and they said it was defective, I say RECALL. your spending $100 on a case which should give you 100% charge, $1 a percent charge. the people who rated this product 5 stars ether got lucky with a product that really worked, or maybe had the same issue as me and never noticed it. Seems to be rare to get a working one. And these issues are from the Red case and the 2nd and 3rd one I had the same problems IRONIC. Only reason im getting another one, it was a gift.

    Mophie with a come back

    • Written by from pawling

I bought this case with my new Iphone 5s. After only two months of using this case the battery was half dead. I would use it to charge my phone and it would raise the battery percent from 10 to 40. This was very frustrating because it was so expensive. I did send the case back to mophie after filling out a warrenty claim, there was free shipping back and in exactly a week a brand new case arrived at my door, hopefully the first case was just a lemon and this new one works. I was so happy with mophies customer service I would rate the case as a four but only because they were so easy to deal with. If I didn't get a new case shipped to me I would rate this product one star.

BEWARE total waste of money and it will KILL and your iPhone

I bought this being a buy person and thought great I won't have to carry a cord everywhere I've had every iPhone since the first one and never had any issues with them until this monster of a divide got a hold pf my iPhone5 it worked fine for 2 weeks then all of a sudden i got a connect to tunes instruction on my phone i knew that wasn't going to be good tried at home nothing took to apple nothing seems that the divide fried my connector and the wiring inside that reads to computer so that being said i sadly didn't have apple care because i've happily never needed it. and my iPhone 5 is dead luckily I has my old 4 to get me by until my upgrade. IF YOU VALUE YOUR IPHONE YOU'LL STAY AWAY FROM THIS

i gave it a 1 star only because you have to

Got this as a Christmas gift, and initially it worked very well. However, I noticed that it got my phone quite warm when turned on. It also began to crack after about two months, despite not being dropped. It has now stopped charging entirely, resulting in a useless piece of plastic in just over six months. Not worth the price.

    Excellent product

I would highly recommend this product. It doubles the life of the battery and is not much larger than the usual case—letting me go 24 hours without charging my iPhone.

In addition, Mophie has amazing customer service. When I ran into an issue with my case (which I admitted was my own fault), they shipped me a new one for free within a week.

The good and bad on Mophie Juice Pack Air

    • Written by from Cupertino

I brought this at the salesforce conference when my battery was drained and they were having a sale on this but still paid $80 + tax at that time. I have been using it for the past 2-3 weeks. Here are my observations.

    1. Very useful if you use your phone a lot and you don't have access to charging especially at conferences and like where you are in line for the charging station. It does help you get through the day with heavy use without a recharge
    2. It can make the phone quite warm especially if you use it for navigation, my phone went so warm, it shut down once
    3. No raised bezels, I find that it does not really protect your phone, the glass can break if you let it fall
    4. Pain to connect it to your lap top to sync with itunes, I have never been able to take the lower base part out without help from others. I know how to take it out, but I wrestle with it so hard and then give up and ask for help.
    5. Point no 3 and 4 are like a deal breaker for me. I will keep in just in case i need extra juice but right now I am tempted to remove the whole thing out and put back my good old speck case.

Final Take away- If you are looking for battery power and that alone, take this one. if not skip!

This product does exactly what it says. I have yet to be without my phone due to low battery. However, it seems to get quite warm when charging so, I only let it charge to about 65% before shutting it off.

    Great product...for three weeks!

    • Written by from Chandler

This product serves its purpose well. It does charge your phone. If you start charging when you phone battery goes red then you'll be able to fully charge your phone in about 2 hours and still have about 25% extra charge left, just in case. But that only works for the first few weeks. Since day one I had issues charging the case up though, as it would constantly say it's not compatible with my iPhone while plugged in and charging. So I had to charge my iphone separately and the case separately. it's annoying to take it out all the time. Not to mention, it's cracking and fallng apart after no major drops or anything. Essentially this is a $100 piece of plastic that may or may not work. Regretting my purchase!
