    wrong size??

    • Written by from Los osos

The bag it self is really nice... I had a struggle fitting my ipad into the bag but eventually figured out that you just have to squeeze it in a very specific way... My brand new MacBook Pro 15 w/retina was not the same experience. I purchased the bag because it was supposed to hold my new macbook.. unfortunately i discovered when i got the back that the sleeve on the inside for a laptop computer will only accommodate up to a 14.1" screen... obviously my 15" macbook exceeds the size constraints on the sleeve that is capable of 14.1" I really liked the bag so i decided to try using it without putting the macbook in the sleeve, but it would have been nice if it actually would have fit the product that it said it would fit. The bag itself is a really good bag which kind of makes me want to give it a 5 star rating, but the fact that it doesn't fit the product that it says it would fit is the sole reason that i gave this product a 1 star.

    Uber tight fit

    • Written by from Wilmington

This bags greatest assest is also its greatest flaw. I love that it is very slim and compact. It's actually specifically what I wanted. However, it is a little too snug for my items. And I honeslty dont have much to carry. I rarely ever bring my power adapter with me unless I know I will be gone longer than a day or really using my Macbook on the go, which is not often. So that is not stored in the bag atm.

Here is what I have in the bag:

    Macbook Pro Retina 15" (thin)
Ipad Air with super slim case and smart cover (both thin)
Kindle paperwhite with amazon case on it (thin)
    Pelican SD card case (thin)
Seagate 2TB external slim hard drive (thin)
2 pens (1 adoniti jot touch pro)
1 Anker 2nd Gen Astro3 12000mAh External Battery (not as thin, but not as bulky either)

Notice how I am saying thin? Thats all that seems to fit in this bag. I had a few other things I wanted to place in here, but if its anything bulky, forget about it. And the problem is, even when using thin products, the more you place in the bag, the less space you drastically have in other compartments. For instance, all the front smaller pockets are utilized, and the macbook is where it is supposed to go. I doubt I will be able to squeeze anything usefull in the larger front zipper compartment other than some papers. But you would have to take the macbook out before even trying because you would be able to stuff the paper in there easily.

The macbook doesnt slide in and out as easily either. I had a plastic case on mine, and although it did fit in the designated area, I figured I would take it off to see if it helped slide in better, but it did not.

Maybe the bag will begin to stretch a little after a while and it will be easier?? But on day one, this bag is very small and tight.

The one pocket / space I am not currently using which seems to have the most space is been the Macbook and the iPad pockets. That definitely had the most room and would be able to fit power cables in there. But the bag will begin to start buldging at this point.

Also, another thing to mention is, what I am assuming was made to be a phone pocket because of all the luxurious padding in there....its not very deep. It does not fit my iPhone 6. Possibly made for iPad 4 generation? Not a deal breaker for me because I never stick my phone in my bags. But worth mentioning. I currently have my Seagate 2TB hard drive in there and it fits nicely.

Overall, this is something I was looking for. Something to just carry my expensive things around easily to and from work without lugging my huge Ogio renegade backpack back and forth, and also without having too much extra space and pockets I dont need (like the ogio hip hop bag which I was first checking out. I dont need an eye glass comparement or water holders, etc).

The quailty and style of the bag is also top notch. The only thing that would have made this product a 5 stars would be if they even just added even less than a quater inch in some of the compartments. I will have to live with it a week or 2 to tell if this will suite my purposes, or if I will be forced to get something that will accomodate slightly more than I have in here already.

I'd say this bag is meant for VERY specific people and uses. Definitely not a one size fits all. And considering the price, its quite a commitment unless you plan to never buy or upgrade to any new things along the way (whether it be larger or smaller in size). This bag is very specifically tailored to fit certain products and not much else.

    Hope this helps.

Nice bag - Terrible shoulder strap !

    • Written by from Revere

Love the bag, went from an older bulky bag that the shoulder strap was broken, so had to carry by the handles for the last two years.

Finally have a new bag where I can have both hands for other things.... Not so fast ! You better keep a free hand to keep pushing the strap back up onto your shoulder. No matter what jacket, sweater, shirt, it slips off. Maybe I should wear a velcro jacket.

    Very maddening !

    Fits MacBook 15"

    • Written by from Zemun

I have bought MBP 15" and an iPad and this bag fits both of them, all their respective chargers and cables and still has some room left for a letter sized notebook. Although it is pretty tight for MacBook inside it still is safely inside the bag. It has little hood that can be just pulled over MacBook 15" that will protect it from the zipper. I must say that this bag is well thought out and it looks rather nicely too. No regrets in paying a bit extra for this bag.

Very Tight and Doesn't Fit Most Things

    • Written by from Phoenix

I thought this bag looked really nice online and I went got it at the store. When I got it I thought it was really small, it said it will fit my 15" Macbook Pro. I brought it home, tried to put my Macbook in it and I struggle to get the whole thing in there. It was tight with no room around. I also tried to fit in all the other equipment as shown in the description. I put my iPad and iPhone in it. Everything looks exactly like the picture and description on Apple.com, but I haven't seen anyone carry equipment like this. Not only you might need the laptop, iPad and iPhone you'll need all there accessories. Like, chargers, cables, mouse, files, and paperwork. Good luck of trying to carry all of them in this bag. To me, this bag is not very worthless, but if you are trying to just carry a laptop to play around then it may be fitting. Talk about carrying it around, the bag is so form-fitting to your laptop so much so that there's no cushion around your laptop. If you drop this bag, good luck in trying to repair your laptop because it has enough cushion to bust the laptop's corner and ruin your day. I am going to head back to the store and return it.

Better Than Expected and Precisely What I Wanted

    • Written by from ORLAND PARK

I saw this online and then went to an Apple Store to see it in person. I bought it on the spot. It is difficult to find a briefcase that is in between a sleeve and a normal briefcase, yet this is it. Has lots of storage, yet is remarkably slim. I work with documents and gadgets constantly at work, flitting from meeting to meeting where it is odd to tote a big bag but hard to manage carrying all things without some kind of help. This met the need extremely well, and the build quality of the materials and design was a delight. I own more than one Tumi, yet the thing I reach for most is now this dramatically less costly briefcase that is a superior work of craftsmanship. I am thankful it existed and I found it. The padding quality and thickness is very reassuring, and the plush felt interiors are wonderfully protective. I was surprised that only one review existed on this. I had never heard of this brand until I gave it this chance.

    Great Bag

    • Written by from PETAWAWA

Using this with my Ipad Air. This easily holds all the essentials. Only time will tell how durable it is but if it is like other Thule pruducts it should be great. Plush lined pockets protect the device and the zippered pockets allow for secure but easy accessabillity. Overall an excellent product at a very affordable price.
