    Does Not Work!!

    • Written by from Rockford

I loved the concept, and my daughter (who has an iPhone 5 like I do) loves the one she has. So I bought the Juice Pack Plus, and it would not work...and it worked on my daughter's phone, which made the experience all the more frustrating. Then I went back and bought the regular (100%) Juice Pack, which worked initially, but eventually did not work like the first product. I sincerely wish the product worked as advertised, but it just didn't. Buyer beware!!

Adapter cord and headphone jack design is horrible!

    • Written by from Missoula

Overall, I appreciate having the extra battery power as I watch friends run out of battery power all the time. For this I am grateful that I own a Mophie. However, they took no care to deal with the design as far as using the headphone jack. That I should have to have an adapter cord with me all the time just to be able to have one of the most basic functionalities of an iPhone is enough to lose customers! I am constantly having to take the bottom of the case off just to plug it in to my car stereo, stereo at work, and my Bose Dock.

This brings me to the adapter! I'm now on my second adapter which I promised myself to treat like a fragile baby...well, just today after two months, my SECOND adapter is shorting out! It amazing that Mophie has not issued a recall on this poor design or attempted to fix it and send to its loyal customers an adapter that works and lasts.

For any future versions of Mophies they must find a way to eliminate any need for an adapter and have Mophies able to accept all types of headphones without an adapter.

This may seem a minor inconvenience, but enough to send customers who use the music feature extensively away!

    Broken out of the box

    • Written by from Flagstaff

I just bought this $120 device for my iphone 5s yesterday. I charged it for 8 hours today; 2 from a wall charger, 6 from usb...and it never went beyond 2 of the 5 charging lights. For a case this expensive, you would expect it to work correctly out of the box...I mean, it is just a battery, how hard can that be ?? I will be taking it back tomorrow and am unsure whether I will get another. For what it is worth , I really like the design and my dad has used a Juice air for the last 6 months with no issue.. I wanted to love this thing and it didn't even work.

Not even close to the advertised 120% extra charge

    • Written by from Bothell

The title says it all!! I've purchased 2 of these (Plus) cases and both of them when fully charged do not even get close to fully charging my iphone 5.

I've tried the recommended charging profile i.e. when phone is at 20 percent turn on the case and let it charge to 80% I was lucky to get the case to charge up to 80% once, I then turned off the case, drove the phone battery down to 50% and turned the case on again, I was amazed to find that it only charged it 9% more up to 59% and the case battery died.

I then decided to try to charge from 1%, with a fully charged case and the case charged up the phone battery to 78%

I have to say that I will return both cases. I dont think 60% battery charge is worth over 100 dollars. Especially when you consider that fact that the battery will eventually degrade overtime and provide even less performance. :(

I'm wondering now how the Air, and Helium perform?!?!

One month of use, now broken.

    • Written by from North Vancouver

Great concept, poor execution. Purchased November 3, stopped working December 3.

Now for a suggestion: Micro USB? No thank you, how about Apple's thunderbolt connector? There's Thunderbolt on the inside, put the corresponding one on the outside.

    Nice product for iPhone 5S

    • Written by from jacksonville beach

Just got iPhone 5S 1 month ago. Got the Mophie at same time. The fit and finish are flawless. It provides protection. It is handsome and lightweight. I carry it on my iPhone at all times. It holds a full charge in standby mode for at least 2 days. It puts all the juice into your iPhone so that your iPhone stays at 100% until the Mophie dies.

The cord it comes with is short, and it does not come with a wall connector; only usable via USB. It can plug into your iPhone power plug, but it should have its own.

I bought extra wall charger for iPhone today. It comes in 2 parts and costs $40. That is twice as much as it should be. Apple Store does not carry extra charge cords for the Mophie. The genius/clerk at Apple told me I could get the Mophie cord at Target for about $10. I want 2 cords for the iPhone and the Mophie so I can charge them both either at home or office.

I would buy the Mophie again. I really like it.

    Charging cord is inadequate

    • Written by from Williams Lake

I agree with the other reviewer and would say the case is good. The charging cord however, is inadequate for length and is not compatible with the i5 charging cord, so you can't use any of your other chargers. So if you don't have the Mophie cord and want to use the i5 charger, you have to pull the case apart to be able to plug your phone in and you will be unable to charge the mophie. I don't know why the cords aren't compatible. Once again, you get sucked in to purchasing all new cables so you can have one at home and one in your car etc. I don't like the headphone adapter either, it sticks out too far and it gets bent easily, I guess it's just a matter of time till mine breaks too.

Case works great. Everything else that comes with it is of poor quality

Case works great. Everything else that comes with it is of poor quality.

    1. The cable that comes with it is too short (only a third of the length of stock iPhone 5 cable).

    2. The headphone adapter included stopped working after 2 months of normal use probably because its bent when your phone is in your pocket. Instead of getting a new one from Mophie for $10, buy a longer adapter somewhere else.
