    Functions Well, But Could Fit Better Behind a Group Switch Plate

    Easy to install, except I installed it with a bank of switches just inside my front door and the WEMO switch did not fit flush under the multi-switch plate used for the bank of switches. There was only a minor bend in the plate with the WEMO switch on the end position (small enough to live with), but if I wanted it in the middle position of the set of switches, it would have created a very noticeable bulge in the middle of the switch plate.

    It was easy to connect to my wi-fi network, easy to program using the iPhone app. Remote controlling the switch through the app works well. Updates to firmware haven't caused any problems. There is one limitation in the auto on/off programming (rules). When using sunset or sunrise times for a rule, it just takes the sunset/sunrise time that day and uses that for all subsequent days instead of using a different sunrise/sunset time each day as the days get longer or shorter. The sunset/sunrise times can be refreshed but you have to manually refresh the rule in the app for this to happen. Also I think a timer function would be great where you could use the app to tell it to turn on the switch now and then turn off after a set amount of time.

    Does not work with the AirPort Extreme

    Have been using this for a while with a Belkin router and has worked great. Bought a AirPort Extreme 5th generation and spent hours but could not connect it to the router. Searched internet and found a lot of people with same problem. AirPort Extreme and AirPort Utility do not have enough settings available to fine tune it to work with the WeMo. End result is I have to run 2 routers now ... AirPort Extreme for my MacBook Pro's / Apple TV's / and iPhone, and the Belkin Router just for the WeMo. Wish Apple would resolve this problem.

    It took some doing but so far, I love it!

    I bought two of these switches. They are in one 4-switch panel, located next to one another. They were easy to install and that part was done in no time.

    Setting up both switches with the app was a little tricky. The first switch set up without a problem but the other required a restart of my phone and wireless network. Even then, the 2nd Wemo network didn't immediately show up. Eventually, after a few tries, I got it working.

    Ironically, the hardest part about the installation was the fact that one of my bulbs had blown (I think I have a short). Therefore, I mistakenly thought that the switch was not working for quite some time. :)

    I love this product and may buy a third!
