    Not accurate at all

    • Written by from Clarence creek

It tracks steps while sleeping, i woke up one morning having taken 10 steps in the middle of the night. I contacted the company and they said that if you become restless in the middle of the night it can register as steps, shows how inaccurate they know their product is

    Basal Metabolism

    • Written by from Newmanstown

I think the people that are complaining about the accumulation of calories burnt when they feel they are not moving or "not doing anything" are forgetting about basal metabolism... Remember, even when we are laying down completely still we are burning a certain number of calories just not as much as when we are active.

Fit bit flex not worth the money.

    • Written by from jackson

I bought the fit bit and I was thrilled with it it at first then I tried to input my food and could not find basic food on the list but what really turned me against the fit bit is I took it off and left it on my shelf and I decided for fun I would check my calories burned I was shocked that I burnt 1272 while I was not even wearing it so my opinion is it's a rip off.

    Inaccurate and flimsy wrist band.

    • Written by from Sydney

I loved the app design, however the data is inaccurate. On a typical morning (getting out of bed, making breakfast and getting ready for work) it would say I had already burnt upwards of 1200 calories. I burn half this amount in an intense workout! Also, after only 4 months of use I woke up to find the wrist strap had snapped in my sleep. The larger strap it came with was far too big for my wrist to use.

Great product but battery didn't last

    • Written by from Medina

I like the user interface on the iPhone. Product was easy to set up and use. Tracking sleep patterns was fun but make sure you exit sleep mode in the morning. The pedometer function often tracked steps never taken. For example, getting up right out of bed in the morning, it tracked a few hundred steps while I was sleeping. The biggest disappointment was the battery. It lasted 2 months and I returned it to the Apple store for a full refund. Looking for a a better alternative. Another drawback, it doesn't have a heart rate monitor.

    Keeping me going

    • Written by from Stellarton

I had come to a stalemate with working out; I had lost 70 pounds but seem to be at the same point for along time. I then decided to get a fitness band to help me; I researched the many options and decided to go with the fitbit flex. I love it! It has kept me going and some days I find myself going for walks or even jogging in place to complete the amount of steps I want to do in a day. I like that the app sends me a weekly email to let me know how I am doing. The only complaint is it doesn't have a watch; so you know what I am going to do, I think I need the fitbit force. I will let my bf have my flex and hope he enjoys it as much as I do. It syncs with the aria scale and the myfitnesspal app that I use daily. I am already down another 8 pounds since purchasing this at the end of December.

    mixed bag

    • Written by from Arlington

    the app is nicely done.
The wrist band, however, is almost comically bad-- it's far worse than the worst $2 wristwatch I've ever owned. 13 days in, the sensor is DOA-- unresponsive. Sent it back; will try another brand.

    Needs a lot of work

    • Written by from Southborough

The wrist band latch is very difficult for people with hand injuries or arthritis. Why not a simple wrist watch strap? The sleep function does not work using my ipad. I activate sleep mode and in the morning I turn it off. When I sync to the dashboard, it indicates no sleep activity. I set up a weight loss plan and started entering foods that I consumed. When I checked the dashboard, the calories consumed were not reflected in the totals. I used the fitbit flex with iOS on my ipad perhaps it would work better on a PC but I did not try to do that. It goes back to the store tomorrow.

    high price for shoddy strap

Device okay. Rubber strap ,that holds it, is very poor quality and design and will last 1-2 months if you are lucky. Not worth the price.

    Almost perfect product

    • Written by from Worcester

This is great for tracking most activities and sync's easily and flawlessly. I can tell the band(s), it comes w two, lg and sm, won't last that long but they are replaceable and cheap enough. It's also water resistant so you can wear it swimming, shower, etc. I've only had it for a few weeks now but from what I've read and experienced it looks like one of the best activity trackers out there. On a lighter note, it has already helped motivate me to exercise more. Last night after putting on my pj's I noticed I wasn't quite at my daily goal so I went outside (in my pj's) and walked around the block a few times to reach my goal!! Enjoy

    Good Device Bad Clasp

    • Written by from Leicester

For an Item of this price you would thing the clasp would fasten instead of snap. It can come off without you knowing it, and it's too expensive to replace very often. It's a great tool with a design flaw.

Love the unit but hate the bracelet

    • Written by from Hudson

It keeps track of steps, miles, very active minutes, etc and vibrates when you have reached your goal. Lets you compete with friends, which is very helpful in keeping you accountable. Many times I have taken that extra walk because my friend will know if I was lazy that day. It even has a silent alarm to wake you in the morning.

The bracelet needs to be replaced every month or so. I have had my flex for 2 1/2 months and am on my 3rd bracelet. The bracelet needs to be redesigned, but the unit itself is GREAT!!!

Works good but it could use more detail

    • Written by from Surrey

I tried the fitbit for about a week and then returned it to the store I bought it from.

It was not very accurate about my activity. For example I would be laying in bed and it would tell me I had taken 8 steps already.

I had a huge workout for 1 hour and told me I was only active for 21 minutes.

I would like if it asks me how I am feeling every day and give me feedback on which days I felt better and show a chart with what I ate, how I slept, exercise etc to correspond with how I am feeling.

It didn't really help me to know how many steps I took in a day, I wanted more information.

I was going to try the jawbone up because it asks you your mood, but I read the reviews and decided against it because they are known to stop working after several weeks.

If fitbit was to provide more detailed information about how I am feeling in correspondence with my diet, activities and sleep I would definitely buy it again. I love how the band is small and a lot of times I would completely forget I was even wearing it.

    Best activity tracker I've tried

    • Written by from Jacksonville

This tracker is very easy to use and the interface with ios7 is crisp and well designed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the bracelet has a very limited life span: it doesn't stand up to even the minimal wear and tear of gently removing the tracking element every few days for recharge, and I can see that I will need to replace my bracelet after only a couple of months. The tracker and charging cable are still fine and this isn't a major drawback as the replacement bracelets aren't that expensive, but they also aren't available everywhere.

    Lots of functionality

    • Written by from Hummelstown

I had the Zip, but it just didn't generate enough information. The Flex has a great online app and links to a variety of apps, i.e. MapMyRide.

The wrist band takes a bit to get used to and locking the clap can be a challenge until the holes in the band loosen up a bit.

One thing it doesn't do is track cycling. I remove it a put it in one of pockets but it doesn't quite do the job of recording the miles or steps. It also doesn't do steps.

It's worth the money if you are looking to get a handle on your level of activity.
