    STUCK TO MY PHONE

    • Written by from London

Honestly it wont come off, it is so frustrating that I have to go back to the apple store because it is stuck to the bottom of my phone. Other than that case appears nice after a day but man oh man this is a huge inconvenience not what i expected for $100.

Allows Dirt Inside Case which will cause many scratches.

    • Written by from Jacksonville

Bought the Mophie Helium the day it was released. I loved my Mophie Juice Pack Plus for the 4s and so figured the Helium would be the same. Nope. It communicates through several more windows around the phone allowing dirt particles in-between the case and the phone. After it being inside the case for a month I took the phone out to find small circles of worn out finish all around the bezel. This never happened with the 4s Juice Pack.

I hope Mophie comes out with a sealed version as this one just allows too much dirt inside.

    Flimsy, Overpriced Garbage

For this much money, not to mention the long wait for it to hit the market, this case is a singular disappointment. It does not fit the phone as snugly as it should, it scuffs easily and most important, it is very flimsy! I just broke it by pulling the bottom half from the top to check for a connection problem. Definitely not worth the money. One more thing: you need a separate dongle (Mophie provides) to use the headphone jack because the case is too deep. Apple, are there any plans to use quality controls on manufacturers of products made for your devices? If so, start here!

Poor design but serves its purpose

I bought my mophie helium for my new iphone 5 and noticed when i placed the case, it doesnt fit perfectly and makes its look not really good. Secondly, the rubbery coating easily peels off and its terrible and making my phone looks very cheap and i hate it.. Overall it does what it is designed to do- to partially charge the phone and thats it, aesthetically, nit really good

Like the case, but micro usb vs lightning?

    • Written by from Hermitage

Doesn't make sense that I can't use the same cord to charge both the phone & case. I know if i have the phone in the case I have to use the micro usb cord. But not to be able to use the lightning seems silly to me.

Loved the old Mophie but this one is really disappointing.

This one is next to useless. The battery life is just not worth it. I am going to try the next one up, but I think they really missed the mark on this one.

Love the helium, wish I'd waited for the air

I really do like the helium, it is light, does its job and is a quality product that I've come to expect from mophie. I really do wish I'd waited for the juice pack air however as I think my battery would last longer w/the air. However, for the price difference I don't think it's that much of an issue as I don't usually need more than the 8 hours coverage.

Either way, it's another great product from mophie.

    Nissan does not recognize iPhone

I really liked this case, and then I jumped in my car, Altima, plugged in my phone with Mophie to the USB and figured out I had to settle for FM radio, or take the mophie case off and use the apple USB cable. Very lame. I want to listen to the music on my iPhone 5 while in the car, and not have to remove the mophie case.

I purchased three of these cases and have an issue with one. The phone does not fit properly inside the case and moves and the charger cycles between on/off. I exchanged it once and the exchanged case has the same issue.

They should have developed this product a bit more.

The casing aint on the front of the case is one week old and already chipping of--my brother has the exact same issue on his mophie 5 juice pack, so this is definitely a low grade product. The juice pack 4 NEVER did this...

The recess for the earphone jack is really deep and most headpieces wont be compatible with this Mophie juice pack. It would also be nice if they made the wire a lightning wire, instead of having to carry around two separate wires.

Mophie almost as good as the last model

I am a big lover of the Mophie Juice Pack (Helium) but this one is different. The body is not slick but more of a rubbery feeling which to me is not as nice looking or complimentary to my white iPhone. The power button on the back is also very difficult to slide in order to power on or off. You can barely get a grip on it. I do love it as a battery but the shinier finishes and the old switch was much nicer ... why change a good thing?

I love this case. If your like me and use your phone all the time, then you need this case is gives you an extra battery I go through both in one day but my phone actually makes it through the day I never worry about it dying on me. It recharges at the flip of a switch. :)

    Mophie has lost its' Mojo

Sleek and cool design, but does not work well in the real world. Phone will not seat properly on the charger and you constantly have to wiggle the base of the mophie to keep the charge going on the phone. This seems to be a common complaint from other folks who own the Mophie charger as well. For example, if you turn the charger on and put it in your pocket the phone and charger constantly cycle between on and off because of the poor design. I have owned a mophie for every generation of iphone and they worked great, but this one misses the mark. I have already returned it the store. Guess I will have to wait for the next generation.

Doesn't work with USB car connection

I have an iPhone 5 and it works fine with the lightning to USB cable connected to my car, a Nissan Pathfinder 2011. The sound plays trough the radio and the system recognize the iPhone as an iPad device with navigation car control and so on. Life was perfect.

When I bought a Helium battery case from mophie I got a problem. the iPhone with the case connected to the USB connector of the car doesn't work as it used too. No audio is coming through the USB system. Neither the device is recognized as an iPod device as it usually happens when i connect the iPhone without the case.

The case plugs into the iPhone with the standard lightning connector, but the USB output is converted to a mini USB plug. Obviously something is missing in translation.

To solve this problem I need to connect the iPhone through the Aux input using the headphone connector plus another cable to charge the iPhone while I'm driving. Messy and not elegant solution.

The audio headphone connector is a problem too, the hole is too narrow and deep. Bad design solution. And the adapter is a bad patch solution waiting to be lost at any time.

Battery performance is according to what the manufacturer promises, 80% of charge.

    Extra juice on the go

This is a nice extra battery for the iphone 5, one thing that might be a hassle is that when you want to sync your phone with iTunes, you have to pull the lower case out. Other than that, it's a nice add on to the phone's battery life on the go or just at home.

Battery is awesome, it charge very fast from 1% to 70% in 25 mins or so. The case looks extremely beautiful it feels nice and it does not add a lot of wight to the phone. My 3 stars are because the quality of the product is not good I got it last week and it started to peel off :/ the painting is falling apart from all over the case.

    Great idea, poor execution!

I bought this because I thought it was a great idea since the weather will be getting nice soon and I'll be out more. The first case I bought fell apart in about a week and a half. The bottom piece got stuck to my phone and the inside was exposed and the button fell off. I went to apple and exchanged for a new one. After 2 days this case is a total FAIL!. My phone was at 20% and the case was fully charged, my phone made it to 46% then the case died. R.I.P mophie case. I'm headed back to the apple store in the am and getting my money back.

Not as good as the previous cases for the 4s

Got this unit and within 7 days, the bottom piece outer case split from the inner case and bits flew out. the on/off switch was too loose to begin with and it switched on inadvertently. I contacted Mophie, which quickly replaced my unit. Overall, not a bad unit. It is a nice sturdy case with the power to extend the battery almost by 2 times.

Great sturdy case that gives a comfortable weight and feel to the iPhone 5. The extra battery life and ability to charge my phone on the go is a huge plus. I will say that I only got one charge from the case but it was a full charge and you can't go wrong with that when you have kids that like to play games or view videos!
Would be nicer with a slight lip around the screen to protect from any flat falls or bumps. The extension for the headset was a great thought. The only down side is the phone connector can't be reached through the case so a little challenge for our car charger to connect to the phone.

    Great job!
