    Coating peels off

    • Written by from San Francisco

The coating on this started to peel off almost immediately. I contacted Thule and they said they consider the peeling of the coating to be normal wear and tear. It's a shame because aside from that, the case is great. Thin, minimalist design with just the right amount of lip to protect the screen.

    Very Nice Case

    • Written by from Northbrook

I've been really happy with this case -- bought it nearly a year ago. As other reviews have stated, it's not too bulky but very solid. It also has a good grip -- feels nice in the hand.

Most important, where other cases I bought have started to peel or crack around the edges, this case is much more solid and durable. I admit that it isn't the coolest looking case -- doesn't do too much to distinguish itself. However, it performs where it counts and that's worth the money.

    NOT Impact Resistant

    • Written by from Austin

Dropped my 5S today from my ear to the concrete (5'7" drop height). Case broke, iPhone now dented.

The edges of my case did not protect the phone. Instead the corner of the case broke off and now my brand new 5S has a big gouge in the corner.

To be fair, my phone still works. BUT my NOT THULE case for my 4S protected it perfectly when it was dropped over the course of a year several times.

    My advice: Buy something else!

Excellent Minimalist Case Using Quality Materials At A Fair Price

    • Written by from West Chester

As an iPhone junkie with many cases, I am very happy with the quality and design of this case. It is very thin and great for pocket carry for those times that you aren't in a high risk atmosphere. It offers adequate protection for everyday carry without adding more bulk than is necessary to perform its job (protecting the phone).

The materials are of a high quality, with the texture offering excellent overall purchase. The texture allows for enough traction that the phone is not sliding around in the car or a desktop etc.

Overall, a great minimalist case for everyday use, it offers adequate protection while maintaining the slim design of the iPhone 5S. Great inexpensive case, that uses quality materials and solid design characteristics.

    Poor quality case

Soft coating started peeling within 24 hours on use. For $40.00 AU I expect better quality. This case will be returned asap.

    Great Case!

    • Written by from San Diego

After buying 4 other cases for my phone, I finally found one that I like. It is very durable, has a great grip, and isn't too bulky. I hate paying $35 for a case, but this is definitely better than a lot of other cases that are the same price.

    Very good, quality case

    • Written by from Nevada City

I have always used Sena leather sleeves but I kept losing the last one, leaving my iPhone to get tormented in my pockets. I spent a fair amount of time at the Apple store looking for a case, and this Thule stood out to me as the best. It's extremely light and has a rubberized grippy feel but slips into my pocket easily. It has the snuggest fit of any I tried and seems to protect the phone very well. As far as price, all the premium level cases are in this price-range, so it's not overpriced. The best thing about this case is that it's the least obtrusive, not much different than having no case at all.

    Not worth the asking price

    • Written by from Omaha

The Thule isn't necessarily a bad case, but it doesn't set itself apart from other cases enough to justify the price. My iPhone fit in the case very well, and never seemed loose. The back of the case has an nice texture for grip, and it slides in and out of pockets easily. But the sides are very smooth, and that's where I typically hold the device. It was too slick. The screen protecting lip is very short. The buttons are all exposed as well. I returned mine.
