    Had a problem but they helped me

    Hey. I had a battery problem as well. Wouldn't power up after only 5 months of use.
    Went to their website and chatted with them. Explained it was a gift from my sister for Christmas and I didn't have a receipt.
    They set up an exchange and I'm back in business. Very happy!

    Great headphones if you don't plan on sweating

    Listen to the other reviewers on this item. They are great for light workouts - as soon as I get them wet during a hard workout they start malfunctioning. They shut down once like the on/off button was stuck and the second time died all together. Currently trying to pursue a refund

    The first time I took them to the gym, I took them out and one of the ear buds was gone. Pretty worthless at this point. Returning to the Apple Store tomorrow.

    Tried two separate pairs, both have the same issue. Poor bluetooth mic. People on the other end describe it as listening to somebody talking far away in a tunnel. The second pair was worse, they would comment that they could barely hear me speaking. The problem is inconsistent, sometimes it works good, other times, not so. Very frustrating to be the the person on the other end of a bad bluetooth.

    The fit is OK at best and they are bulky and stick out farther than other models. The controls are lacking and could have been designed better.

    The overall size and sound quality is pretty good. But the cord tends to offer resistance when it falls under your shirt and pulls down on the earpieces making them uncomfortable in your ears.

    Overall I'm very disappointed and will be returning the second set. The search continues.

    Very bad headphones

    I absolutely LOVE the new Apple Earbuds. The fit, the quality, the style...they're brilliant in every way...except: they aren't wireless.

    I bought an Apple Watch, and now is the first time I really need a bluetooth headset. After much searching, I bought these headphones. Wow, what a disappointment.

    Cons:
    - They don't fit in human ears.
    - When you jog or move around at all, you can hear this movement in your ears. If the cord bounces on you, or anything, you hear a thump in the center of your brain. (Note that you can bounce around all you want with Apple earbuds in and you won't hear anything but your music.)
    - They're bulky, and stick way out of your ears.
    - They're not comfortable.
    - They don't sound that good.
    - The switch controller is poorly designed, uncomfortable to use, and ugly to look at.

    Pros:
    - Nice packaging, though a tad overkill.

    SOLUTION?

    I returned the headphones and bought a bluetooth adapter that clips onto your shirt for $30 which will turn the lovely earbuds into wireless headphones!

    No Bass sounds!

    Fitting is ok but sound is so piercing to the ears without the bass . I tried fitting with the correct size earclips but still no complete sound without the bass!

    Best In-Ear Bluetooth headphones

    Amazing battery life (longer than Powerbeats2)!! I've never owned a nice pair (over $100) of wired headphones but decided if I was going Bluetooth that I would pay the extra price and man was it worth it! These headphones have the best sound Ive ever experienced in any headphone. Incredible bass. The bluetooth range is crazy good, I can walk around my house and there is no cutting out.
    I do recommend using Comply tips with these and not the tips provided. The comply tips will make these the best headphones youve ever owned. Not more problems with fit or buds slipping out!! (You can buy those tips from Jaybird's site)

    Buy these! You wont regret it

    Could Be Better

    The Bluetooth connectivity is the best part of this earphone. The sound quality is decent at this price level. The worst is the fit on ears. It is simply uncomfortable and unsecured during a run or moderately intense workout and above. JayBird must do better on fit and comfort for me to use this again. Going back to my wire Shure earphones.

    Stopped powering on after 2 months

    These bluetooth headphones would get a 5 star review if the had not stopped working. I used them at least 5 times a week since I purchased them and they were great....until I took them off charge for a work out and they would not turn on. You know how expensive these bluetooth headphones are and when you spend the money you expect to get more than two months out of them. Very disappointed about this and will not be purchasing this brand again due to this issue.

    Works great until it fails, battery, charging issue.

    These headphones have a fatal flaw. Great sound, etc, but after a few months it will not charge. The light immediately goes from red (charging) to green (fully charged) in a matter of seconds. The blue buds will then refuse to power on. What a #FAIL. By the looks of it, this is a faulty product since so many have had the same issue.

    Amazing, but...

    These amazing headphones, for the first months of owning them, worked amazingly, offering the advertised approximation of a 10 meter range via bluetooth connectivity. The only problem I had with these was when I lost my larger pair of earbuds, there was not ant nearby store that sold a fitting pair. The major downside of these earbuds is that the battery has stopped working for me, the light will show green after hours of charging through my PC and they will power on, but about several seconds into my time, they die, and the process just repeats and I've had no luck with. If not for my battery problems, I'd still be advertising these to everyone I know. Perfect base, clarity, no delay, very flexible, no tangle, sweat resistance (assuming that didn't damage them), and overall just very nice and clean headphones.

    What I wanted in an earbud product R. Review (PART 1)

    The JayBirds BlueBuds X Premium Bluetooth Headphones are quite surprising. But of course here is my expeirence with them and some personal opinion advice.
    (NOTE:) : Advice at the bottom

    Sound/: 8.2/10 The bass was very surprising. The bass (depending on the audio file uploaded by the artist) was typically "punchy". meaning the distortion effect or static effects only came in if an individual uploaded the audio file on other sites instead of its original audio form (Sounds good on sites like "Itunes" or "Rapsody" where the artist shines at getting the original sound file to play for listeners to hear at full potential. The bass was so crisp that the sometimes it created an echo. This generally applies to other aspects(Can't give a detailed review because of 300 word limit)

    Design: The model just happens to fit in my ear after customizing it(parts come with earbuds watch video for idea)

    Durability: Bought these 2 weeks ago (Will give review later as of 03/06/015)

    Advice: Wouldn't recommend for plenty of reasons, get "Headphones" not these "Earbuds" if you like a general fit. Buy other brands/models these block out sound around you. Lastly READ READ READ/Research, may post video on YT.

    Best headphones I've had, but be careful how you recharge it.

    I really like these headphones. It's great not having to untangle a cord, the sound is very good, and the distance you can range from the phone while maintaining clear reception is large +/-10 meters (as advertised). The only problem I've had is the battery life, but I learned that you should not recharge the unit using a wall socket or a car lighter (thru a USB adapter) because the charge is too strong. That will burn out the battery. It's best to only recharge it with a computer.

    Good sound...very poor battery lifespan

    I have had three pair of JayBird. The last time I tried the premium BlueBuds with better hopes. Same problem...They worked very well for two months. Then it stopped holding any battery charge. I had to return them.

    Don't be misled by the crafty packaging....

    I find it hard to believe that a group of well educated designers/engineers could have ever signed off on this design. I'll just list the cons. Bulky buds don't stay in your ears. Cheap feel to buds. They supply a plethora of different fitting pieces because they know they aren't going to fit in the first place. Way to much extra cord. They provide a cheap clip type item that you have to wind the wire up in to keep it from dangling on the back of your neck. I've purchased two sets of BlueBuds hoping the design would improve and neither set made it past 24 hours.

    I'm unbiased towards brands and I just have to tell anyone considering these buds.......if your serious about music or sports,....go with the Plantronics BackBeat Fit. You'll be much happier.

    Power on / charging issues

    I have had the same problem with power as others have highlighted before.
    Essentially you cannot turn on the earphones even after charging them. If you connect a USB cable for about two seconds, and power on the earphones immediately, they can power on and will carry on as long as there is something playing. If you pause for even 5 seconds, they stop working and power down. You cannot turn them on until you insert some USB cable again.

    It is mysterious - either the battery has not charged but it think it is fully charged. Or the battery is charged but the device does not recognize it and therefore does not turn on.

    JayBird customer service advised me to reset the device. That seemed to help but was deceptive. Within a week it was back to the old state.

    Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Apart from this, the earphones are fantastic but this is a complete dealbreaker since they simply do not power on / work.

    Dead after 3 months

    I bought the JayBird BlueBuds in november/2014 at the Apple Store in Orlando. It worked perfectly for 3 months. Deep bass, good sound and easy connection. I used them to workout in the gym 2 hours a day, from mondays to fridays. But, suddenly, they began to turn on and off repeatedly and I cannot use them anymore.. I do not recommend these headphones.

    Returned for Dr. Dre Beats bluetooth buds (no bass in these)

    My two complaints about Jaybirds are the lack of bass in this product, it's flat mono sounding and that is about it. The second complaint is getting your money back. I've called they're customer care dept 5 different times about a refund and get the same old run around, oh it takes us 7-10 business days to issue a refund. It's been over 10 days and I have yet to see my money back. Today the phones are down. Nothing but frustration from JayBird!

    Great product! Proper fit is difficult

    Have had these for over a year now and they still work great. Never had any problems with them. Biggest concern is fitment. Its hard to make them fit properly. If they worked on redesigning the fitment they would be excellent headphones.

    Great concept, poor execution

    Everything POSITIVE that already has been said about these headphones is true. Great sound for Bluetooth, good fit (I used Comply S-500 Active tips and the sound quality and fit is noticeably better than the stock silicone) and perfect for getting in the groove when training. Having used wired sets all my life up to this point, it's amazing how quickly the body and mind adapt to the immersion of the "personal soundtrack" in your head without the tangible snap back to reality of wires getting caught on equipment or appendages.

    Now onto the bad. I've experienced the power issues that many here have reported, with the headphones just refusing to turn on or dying in the middle of a workout. This already is my second pair, and the same problems are manifesting. Device pairing is a snap, when the device actually manages to power on. To tout something as a *rugged* premium product, only to have it fail so easily is inexcusable. I've gone back to my battle-tested Monster iSports...true wireless dependability is fiction right now as far as I'm concerned.
