Excellent Headphones (when you get the proper alignment)

    • Written by from Kent

Strong bass, excellent mid ranges and crisp highs. Bought my first pair in 2005 and had them till they were lost in a move in 2012. Have gone through a dozen attempts to get that sound quality - including some Bose that proved inadequate - at a cheaper price. The Klipch S4is came close. Now I've bitten the bullet and picked some up in Bangkok at a higher price than here BUT it's good to have quality sound again.

The placement in the ear is critical. If it's not set right you get little to no bass and it sounds tiny. Tweak, tweak tweak. Don't give up till you find the sweet spot for your ears. The 3-way adjustable buds allow for a wide range of placement. Try to get the bud facing almost flat into the ear. When you get it... you'll know why people really like these.

    Disapointed by the quality

    • Written by from Findlay

My wife just bought me these after I begged on my knees to have them.

I received them (by the way shipping and packing are perfect) and opened the box and tried them on right away : They are defective; the right earbud is crackling and the sound is dampened.

I will just return them... But I'm disapointed, B&O used to be way more reliable... Maybe I should have trusted the people complaining about it this time.

Also, just got the Apple returns service on the phone, perfect service here too. They refund me and send me a label through email to send back the product.

B&O - Great sound but bad performance

    • Written by from Calgary

I have had a pair of 3i for over a year, and had generally been quite pleased, until my original pair lost the sound from one of the ear buds. I returned that pair, now one of the wires that leads to the ear bud jack that plugs into your iphone (or ipod) is loose, and sometimes I get sound from only one channel. I would conclude poor design. I will be returning my second set in 2 months.

(After 1 week of intensive use)

This is not as comfortable as stock iPhone 5 earphones, will fall out of your ear easier.

A slight sound quality upgrade from stock iPhone 5 earphones. It feels crisp and clean and harmonious with your surroundings. I wear and use them all day, so the slight upgrade in sound is well worth it for me even at this price. 5/5.

    Disappointing Product Quality

    • Written by from Hong Kong

I have returned the headphone for repair third time within 1.5 year. The first repair was done even within one month after purchase. The wire connection to the plug somehow broken inside leading to partial or complete sound lost in either side of the earphone. I never pull the wire as a mean to disconnect it from my mobile and I keep it in the leather case provided after each use. So, I wondering if there are manufacturing defect in the plug. When I bring this out to their customer service, they simply refer the cause to customer’s accidental mishandling. I do appreciate their 3-year warranty and I'm wondering how frequent will be required to bring back for repair in the remaining 1.5 year. Finally, I bought another Bose headphone to share its workload and figure out if that's really due to any mis-use of it. Suppose both pairs should be subjected to repair if it is due to any mishandling!

    the best in all aspects

    • Written by from San Diego

Hello, I am spare with 5 stars so these must be special. They are. I have had several pair over the years. I've even paid for the H3 of Bang and Olufsen and keep them around for their special use. The sound quality is the closest to real that I have experienced in head phones, ear buds. This is just my opinion. I am a classical musician and I listen critically for a living. I listen to everything from Acid Rock to the sound of the ocean. These don't take a lot of power. Totally in ear ear phones have the drawback of transferring the movement of the cord into the ear canal as does physical movement (the worst being running or even walking). These will block out outside noise only if they are turned up. But if you crank them up you'll only hear music. I leave these in my ears from the time I get up till I go to bed, or almost every waking hour - except for the sound of music you don't notice them on you. They are super comfortable. I like to have music on all the time and these allow me to have my music on and carry on discussions, conversations and be aware of my surroundings with my music playing at top quality even at low volume. When I use these I feel music coming from the space I'm in rather than from a sound proof box. These cut out the middle man in bringing music to your senses. You get realist sound, remain in this world and so comfortable that you don't know you have things on your ears. The mic is great. My phone callers can tell and say they do hear me clearer. The cost? you get a 3 year guaranty so that evens it out a lot. 5 solid Stars

very nice earphone w/tight controlled base

    • Written by from Markham

This is my 1st pair of B&O and coming from a Sennheiser earphone, I am surprise to find how detail the sound quality of 3i has been. Initially the mid-range sound a bit suppressed and base too light, then the sound quality start to change after 40 hours of burn-in. The triple is very nice, the mid-range is rich with detail and the base is well controlled and not on the heavy side. This is to compare with not just the Sennheiser but my other Audio-technica earphone as well (the latter is very bright and detail, especially the vocal which is almost intoxicating). However there are 2 points I would like B&O to consider in future models, firstly the L-shape plug-in (much more easy for our iPhone) and secondly the cord where the mic resides have a comparatively shorter length (instead of a Y-split in the middle giving equal length on both side) so it can hang over one's neck at ease. To sum things up, very satisfying purchase indeed.

    The Best Headset

    • Written by from Desert Hot Springs

I have purchased many headsets trying to find the perfect one for me. I prefer using a wired headset instead of a bluetooth because of the clarity. This is my 2nd pair of the B&O headset with a microphone.

The first pair I purchased was over 7 years ago. I guess I beat them up a bit and they served me well. I have now purchased the B&O Earset 3i. I LOVE being able to hear in both ears comfortably and clearly. For me this headset is amazing and I will continue to use this headset again and again, they fit my ears very well, I do not constantly need to adjust them. Music also sounds great.

In my opinion, B&O is a very good, well made product. You get what you pay for, ....quality.
