    Great Product with Potential

I've been a huge fan of Moleskine notebooks, and generally go through one or two of these notebooks each year, filling them with ideas, writing, and other notes for future use.

This notebook is useful because it has an off-white tint and is lined specifically so that the Evernote app can "scan" the page using the camera on your iPhone or iPad, then digitize it in the Evernote app for iOS. The paper is a little thinner than what I'm used to in my sketching Moleskine notebooks, but perfect for writing. The included ink pen is also pretty spectacular, and one of the best writing pens I've used with a Moleskine (it's made to write really well on the Moleskine paper). On top of the notebook features, you also get a 3-month Evernote Premium subscription so that you can easily upload your notebook scans to the cloud for later use. I won't comment on the Evernote service specifically, though.

The Evernote app for iOS was recently updated and adds a new "page scan" feature that works with these notebooks. The page scan feature is good, but could use improvement, especially if a feature could be added that would allow the app to crop a photo "scan" that was taken to avoid misaligned edges so that only the notebook was shown in the photo. Taking a photo of the notebook requires a little bit of learning, but once you get the hang of it, the "scans" turn out pretty nicely.
