    ITS A GREAT PRINTER COPYS SCANS AND THE PHOTO'S COME OUT GREAT BEST THING I GOT SO FAR AND I CAN CONNECT MY IPHONE WIFI TO THE PRINTER LOVE THIS PRINTER!!!

    Frustrating!

    I'm sure it is user error, but i have a Mac desktop and my wife has a Mac laptop - if i hardwire the printer to my desktop i can print but my wife can't. If i take the cable out and use the wi-fi, my wife can print and my desktop says "communication error - printer offline". I've restarted the printer, restarted my desktop, re-installed the drivers, etc. everything i can think of, and everything i can find on the internet. Usually fixes for Apple products and non-Apple products are fairly simple, i've yet to find a way for both of us to be able to print.

    Overall good, but too many frustrations

    I've had this printer for ~2 years. It's an ok multifunction printer generally - good quality prints; it prints pretty quickly, and the copy and scan functions are really useful. But there are so many frustrations I've had with it that I'm ready to chuck it and buy another.

    -The biggest frustration is that this printer goes to sleep. When it does that, it loses the wireless connection with my Mac (and any AirPrint devices) and I'm unable to print. I either have to reconnect it to my WiFi for the Mac to recognize it - or I have to turn it off and turn it back on. I know that the printer is still connected to my WiFi just fine because while I'm fighting with it, my husband can happily print away from his PC. This happens to me ALL THE TIME, and it means that 90% of the time I can't just print from my Mac - I have to restart this printer, which kind of defeats the purpose of making it wireless.

    -The second worst is that although you can replace the ink cartridges individually, you need at least a little ink in each cartridge to print anything, including black and white. That, to me, defeats the purpose of being able to replace them individually! It doesn't matter if I can replace them individually if I still have to buy a whole new pack of CYM because my cyan ran out while I'm trying to print a stupid airline ticket I only need in black and white.

    Then there are minor things, such as if the printer moves just a bit during printing - or you know, not at all - the printer will get horribly jammed. The ADF in the scanner gets jammed relatively frequently too. All in all, I'm not completely unhappy but I wouldn't buy this printer again.

    Disappointing

    The build is not very good. The device is rather flimsy and made high-pitched squealing noises during operation from the first day. After a few weeks, it began printing broken type, and none of the maintenance functions were able to correct the problem. The Epson support line was not helpful and left me with no solution. I simply threw the machine out.

    NOT a wireless printer

    This printer does NOT print wirelessly for me. If you search reviews, you will find dozens of reviews that say the same. When you first bring it home and set it up, it seems great, then after it goes to sleep, it stops communicating with my macbook and I have to go down to the printer and physically turn it on and off. Twice I have been on the phone with Epson support and they simply reinstalled drivers and both times the printer goes back to needing to be powered off-on. Finally, Epson said it is my Time Machine's fault and that I should call Apple. I would not buy this printer again, and Apple certainly should not list it as an apple compatible product.

    Printing

    I found the setup clumsy. I finally got it working (it printed OK), but when I went to print from my computer the next day, it would not print (said the printer was off-line). Since this is 80% of the device usage, this is most annoying. I went through the setup again, but it still doesn't print.

    New Printer

    Pretty cool printer. Easy setup except for the USB slot is not where the instructions specifiy. Setting up the WIFI using the key board is pretty easy so no need for the USB connection. Print quality is excellent. Looks like the price of ink is competitive.

    Just purchased this printer about two months ago when I bought my new Mac desktop. So far, the things I like:
    Ease of setup and use
    Wi fi
    LCD screen
    Fax..speed dial, number storage, group faxing
    Scanner
    USB Ports to download or print
    Network capable

    What I don't like:

    The arrow keys and the "ok"keys on the control panel. They are noisy and seem cheaply made to me.
    But I guess thats easy to say when you've been using an LCD screen at work for years. All in all a good product for the investment. I'd rate it 4 3/4 stars.....

    New product

    I recently set up my WF2540 using the wifi and it is working quite well. I have not done any photo's yet, hope to soon. So far I am happy with the new printer and it is much faster than my older model Epson, which also worked well.

    It's on it's second black ink cartridge and now it prints less than acceptable word documents mostly only half of print job and pictures are horrible. Do not buy this printer.

    Does not work with MacBook Pro running Mavericks

    AirPrint does not work at all and if I try to print via USB, it will recognize it once in about 10 attempts. Works with my iPad, but I need it to work with my laptop as well.

    Very disappointed

    I've purchased this printer because of the overall positive reviews. Set up was not difficult. Concerning printing, we have had nothing but trouble. The gray scale was too light on initial print. Even with grayscale adjustment and multiple nozzle head cleanings, the device continues print incorrectly. After about 25 or so pages the printer was able to put out proper black ink. About 10 pages later the provided cartridge ran out. I moved forward and purchased a large capacity black ink cartridge. After placement we could not get the printer to print black at all. I've followed all instructions meticulously. If function doesn't improve we will return the device.

    I gave up on Epson All in one printers

    Work fine for a while, then when the operating system gets updated the utility software stops working. Pictures have weird lines through them.

    Worst idea ever!!!

    I bought this printer and it worked fine for a while but then I ran out of ink and found out that it will not print at all if any of the cartridges is empty. In my case, the Cyan cartridge was empty and I do not use this color. I just wanted to print black and white but the printer will not work unless ALL cartridges are good. This seems to be a problem with all Epson printers.

    Great printer!

    I've had this wireless printer now for 2 months and absolutely love it. It's extremely easy to set up and use and the wireless feature is invaluable since I print from my iPhone on a regular basis. I've used this printer consistently since receiving it and have had no problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend it.
